The main fault with the game is the ability for the enemy to walk thru your base fencing and walls to destroy every shelf you built along with all the items stored on the shelves. Not fun.
This game is a lot like Valheim. It's Minecraft for boomers. But that is a good thing and I feel this game has so much potential. They will add a ton more stuff
This Game Looks Too Scary For Me. Can You Befriend The Savage Cannibal Mutant Clan Instead Of Waging An Endless War Of Attrition Against These Poor Unsuspecting Souls? I Would Feel A Lot Better If This Was The Case. Is There Any Chance You Can Do An Extensive Playthrough For Us Where You Investigate The Feasability Of Doing This? I Mean That You Don't Attack Them. The Cannibal Mutants. If That Was Unclear. Thank You. //Breinhart
The Outer Middle Show did a video a few years back showing what The Forest looked like in 0.01. Seeing that video made me appreciate, by comparison, how extremely polished the early access for Sons of the Forest is right now. There are some issues with SotF, to be sure, but I am confident they will work through them, and release some fun extras along the way, to boot.
Been enjoying the game a lot, one thing I don´t understand is why the faces of the characters vs the scenery is so different, the faces look really outdated.
@@amongstreality3487 yeah it's really well made for an early access game considering some of them barely function and then get abandoned. However I'm still not sure if it's okay for them to call it early access considering they should have established themselves enough with The Forest to release the game in a "complete" state, oh well
@@TheUnchartedProtocol It's not about establishment but direction, they wanted the community to guide the road to the finish line with suggestions and feedback rather than them taking matters fully into their own hands, and i highly respect that. For example they were not aware that people were huge fans of the log sled from the previous game due to some issues it had, but thanks to lots of feedback they will be implementing it. Stuff like that is why this type of early access is good, because it allows the devs to align the game closer to what the playerbase enjoys. The game also released in an incredibly well done state for something in EA, so i can't complain about it when i've seen 'complete state' games release in worse shape
@@lewd2851 Considering how enemies feels so repetitive, buggy, unoptimized, incomplete the building system feels, and how baron the extremely large map is making the entire game feel like a walking simulator; i feel like it's a crutch for them to call it early access and they came up with the excuse that they want the community to give feedback to their delayed and unfinished game. Me and my friends were absolutely disappointed with the game, especially after experiencing the ending.
@@Bearizm If this was a different studio i might agree, but this is Endnight who did the same thing with the original Forest and this formula worked wonders for it's development, so it's perfectly legit for them to repeat the same thing here
This game looks like how I imagined The Sims was like for my Simmies when I played The Sims with them :) great job
This Game Is Not The Sims. Please Look More Carefully At The Title Before Posting.
Thank You.

it's running on Unity!? nooooo? seriously?
wow
You can hotkey items. Just hower your mouse over one then press one ofthe buttons 1-0 and its bound to that button.
there's no option for it when it launched. they update it like some days after for the hotkeys
I'm disappointed that they released it at the current state. It's easy, empty, barren land. Boring.

There is a peaceful mode with no enemies if you truly don't desire conflict
Also the games bosses, unique enemies, and sharks remain ingame should you desire some semblance of combat
@@RandoSavage101 Thank You, This Is Great! It Might Even Decide If I Get Or Don't Get The Game. You Have Shown Kindness This Day.

Expected another "idc it's an early access game made by an indie studio, I want all the updates first day!"
Good to find a decent review
