Nope. Not pro-life. She made a choice, and wanted others to make their choice. Lifelong fundraiser for PP, which by the way is not a provider of any abortion services.
Dr. Angelou was an amazing person. I feel robbed for not being afforded the opportunity to have sat at her feet and be taught. I believe the world is better because she was here. Thank you ma'am.
Interviews with such a magnificent personality; deserves the honor and justice of the interviewer, [at least having completed one of nine books] so as not appearing so out of touch - with the Black experience. There is no substitute for adequate preparation.
Mavis was one of the best interviewers. Sadly her reputation was eclipsed by the male interviewers of the day - the Parkinsons, Hartys and Aspels - most of whom weren't anywhere near as adept as her at establishing an immediate atmospere of trust.
Go, Maya! How wonderful you are. Maya is so deliberate in her words and with her garb. The black dress with a silver dress is so well-thought out. What a woman.
TeamTerrill IS.. her legacy will live on well after this generation. All we have done all our lives is learn from the dead and we will continue. God bless
Maya Angelou, a beautiful soul that spoke about the world she saw. Full of misunderstanding, fear, judgement, confusion, love, pain and hope. I hope for a world where your injustices are healed and we can live with peace and understanding.
I can't find any interviews with her where the one interviewing does not interrupt and and finish her sentences. I would have sat in total silence in fear I would miss any of her wisdom.
Maya Angelou is a magical being that has such a clear and painful view of life as it is. The interviewer is privileged just to have met such an incredible person. The woman (interviewer) is cold, unaware and arrogant asking such painful, personal questions so coarsely unaware of her privilege and power imbalance. Women need to support one another more. She deserved so much better. The interviewer is abrasive and unaware.
"It's Maya not May I" ...boy, this interviewer sure did have a license to call her by her first name. Ms Maya would get very enraged if you called her by her first name, she would say : " You don't have a license to call me by my first name".
*you (my?dear) are dead...then there´s this oprah woman who gives me the impression she now thinks she´s become you ... don´t like oprah / don´t like rihanna*
I could listen to her forever. Such an empowering woman, I wish I could find this kind of peace with myself and the world....
You can.
This lady is pro-life explains how a child can be a blessing under any circumstance. Be brave, believe. Life's full of surprises!

Me 2
A woman of bravery, love, and tranquility. I adore you, Maya.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She is the most profound woman My ears ever had the pleasure to hear. This is HEARING.
WOW!
I'll tell you what beauty is. I have no idea what beauty is but i'm watching beauty. She makes me human!
Dr. Angelou was an amazing person. I feel robbed for not being afforded the opportunity to have sat at her feet and be taught. I believe the world is better because she was here. Thank you ma'am.
What a magnificent woman. Her voice is like velvet.❤
She made herself into such a lovely person despite everything she went through.
I wholeheartedly agree
Here because of Instagram taking various extracts. The full-length interview is just way better than tip bits.
I listen to her over and over and over! She is so profound. Her voice captivating.
I love the way Ms Maya speaks..She is beautiful and, comfortable with who she is.A real gift to humanity!
“Facts often obscure the truth”.... yessss, Ms. Maya, my exact thoughts.
“I’m a human being and nothing human can be alien to me..”
💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
In a "data driven" world this statement is so profoundly true.
And people say the quality of British TV hasn't declined. This was afternoon TV on ITV. Superb. We need to get back to this.
i love how the interviewer is also really listening not just throwing about questions and cutting her short

👍Awesome to see this. I’m blessed to have met and had a conversation with her back in 2001. She was a gift to us all. 🤗💞🤗
Wow mind blowing... Great Teacher of all times
Yes! A teacher. Always teaching. 🙏💗🙏
She's soo adorable. I smile just watching her speak. 😍💔❤
Go, Maya! How wonderful you are. Maya is so deliberate in her words and with her garb. The black dress with a silver dress is so well-thought out. What a woman.
She is a queen. I love hearing her wisdom. Truth versus fact
She is completely liberated! What an honor to hear her speak and teach at the same time. 💕💕💕👏🏾👏🏾💎💎
bitterness is like a cancer, anger is healthy......
She is so lovely....heart of gold
How she articulated her life with no shame, bold within her truth was true beauty❤️
Thanks for posting, thoroughly enjoyed listening to them both.
Powerful AUTHENTICITY, hard to be replicated in this complicating age... Long live our guardian ANGEL(OU)! 🙏🏼
She was wonderful 🙌🏾
TeamTerrill IS.. her legacy will live on well after this generation. All we have done all our lives is learn from the dead and we will continue. God bless
Cordéro So true🙌🏾
💜 love the truth from an eloquent soul. 'Giving all one's got'...after liberating the self of truth.
Greatness!
People back then were very beautiful.
Because they were all natural
Maya Angelou, a beautiful soul that spoke about the world she saw. Full of misunderstanding, fear, judgement, confusion, love, pain and hope. I hope for a world where your injustices are healed and we can live with peace and understanding.
She is absolutely everything. 🖤
EVERY-THING!
What Broadcasting used to be . We are now
going backwards with cheap entertainment .
Stunning beautiful
An amazing human such honesty

What a wonderful personality she seemed to be
She died 2014, RIP
“Facts oftime obscure the truth” pretty damn smart haha
RIP MAYA 💐
I've never seen Maya being overpowered in an interview, she's allways commanded them.
Says a lot about her charisma
The poem spoken at the Million Man March...."Still I Rise."
She is astonishing!
If I could have one third of this profoundity
I’m sure you do, but it’s the oration, the way you exude the profundity that is the thing. You have it in there🙂
I love the dynamic beetwin them ❤
LMAO at how she 'dissed' the interviewer at 14:38 to 15:21...that how I'm going to to handle people from now on!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
yessss 🤣🤣🤣🤣 “mmm, yes, mmm… but anyway-“ 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Greatest Poet Ever Lived! 🌈❤️🌈
I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!
I'd like the transcript from this interview. Please share it here, or a link to it. Thank you.
What is the name of the woman interviewing Maya?
Mavis Nicholson.
❤❤❤❤❤
Love liberates
Her speaking voice sounds like she's reading a poem or even singing
Oh my God, my love ☀️
God I love her ❤
RIP, Mavis. 🙏
What's the word she uses at @10:27 ? "Simply to try and ? it? "
Maya says “to try to understand it” while the interviewer I think says “explain it” simultaneously.
@@Laidly95 thank you so much!
@@avm6839 You’re welcome 🙂
