To quote Walt Disney himself when I talk about the American version of this movie, “You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway.” While Warner Bros likely removed those to avoid a PG rating (similar to Land Before Time), that still doesn't give them the pass for being perceived as "just for kids". Maybe that's why critics were slamming this movie the entire time.
I feel like I have a vague memory of seeing the Japanese opening with the little girl and the doctor on like a DVD bonus feature thing. But it’s been so long I could be misremembering. Either way, I really enjoyed the videos.

It was a bonus feature on the DVD of the direct-to-video sequel Mewtwo Returns. The one with James' competent female counterpart.
I could’ve sworn I saw an English version of new twos origin, the deaths of the clones got to me as a kid

@@WeebJail what were 90's Japanese executives smoking to make Pokémon the movie so darn dark lol....when we think of Pokémon it's this fun kids thing but this movie literally kills scientists two children possibly three including the main character....that takes balls
yeah the english ones worse but i really have to agree with 4kids that this is probably the better movie for kids lmaoo

Can you do a video on the manga Teppu, it has no official English release and I’m wandering other difference between the fan translation and original
maybe!! i doubt a fan translation would have changed it much though, other than possible errors it takes more effort to change stuff

Pokémon is a fantasy series for kids...made to market sell merch games cards in Japan...weebs seem to forget this....manga turned into an anime is no different than freaking amazing spiderman and his pals made for pre schoolers if you really think about it....I find it hilarious that people really take localization and censoring that seriously when these cartoons are made to make money off kids...kids probably shouldn't see guns in their cartoons...that's just common sense people
But kids and teens are not asking for lighthearted things!
