A lot of wigged people in shows have their mics there . And it’s further down their forehead due to the lace front . It’s not as visible from the audience. It varies depending on the vocal demands, designs, and budget
For anyone who has seen the production, is the whole show this style of music? This is that specific style of modern musical comedy orchestration that is easy to bop your head to. Reminiscent of the witches song from Big Fish or most of the music written for the Kirkpatrick brothers musicals. It’s just plain fun. If the whole show is orchestrated this playfully it’ll be a blast!
@@bnorem09You hit the nail on the head! The finale was absolutely giving "Face to Face." I felt there was a touch of Beetlejuice in it too. Especially with the way they started both acts with thunder and lightning. I have no idea where to place "For the Gaze" though. 😂
Most of the greatest musicals of all time are based on existing source material (Oklahoma, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, Spring Awakening, etc). Musical adaptations are nothing new, and there's nothing inherently wrong with them. With that said, I saw this show in Chicago and it is in fact pretty bad and a definite step down from the okay movie.
No. No. Just no. Please stop. The film is perfect. Get it on bluray and watch it on your own cinemas my friends! What the cringe-worthy HELL is this ? Nobody asked for this.
Grew up watching the movie all the time, and it is one of my absolute favorites. Was skeptical about the musical adaptation, but I saw the show yesterday and it exceeded every expectation I had. I have quite literally never laughed harder watching a show, and the vocals were beyond incredible. Not to mention the amazing costumes, set design, choreography etc. It’s not perfect but it’s FUN, the performers are masters at what they do and it does justice to the film. Give it a chance before you judge a whole show based on a 1 minute clip taken while it’s still in previews.
Will I get cancelled Michael? Just seen their stunt casting for the Isabella Rossolini character and her voice is high-pitched and shrill with none of the mystery, gravitas or enigma of the film’s character. Maybe if you’re a theater ‘Glee’ sort of person this sort of stuff floats your boat - but unless each song is EXCEPTIONAL and MEMORABLE (which they really don’t seem to be) then the entire production comes across as a cash grab.
WE NEED A CAST RECORDING LIKE YESTERDAY!! I'd die for it!
100%
I’d become death for it
I need that!
pls 😭😭
A little touch of recording in a world obsessed with bootleg

Not one dull second! I want to see it again!!
saw it in chicago, one of the best performances i’ve seen, and that’s saying a lot
Honey! Hitting E V E R Y mark! This is iconic!
I desperately want to watch this for the first time again!
I hope that Streep, and Hawn love it like I did. It's great romp!
Learning those lyrics as we speak, I’ve watched it 8 times!😂
It's amazing how they're sounding like Meryl and Goldie and yet they're still making the characters their own
Megan is my favourite G(a)linda in Wicked💚
Ok who do I have to sell my soul to to go see this
Hearing this live I was so gathered ✨✨
I saw it in Chicago. It was amazing. I need a cast recording.
Is it true they used the original ending and not the one in the film?

Lord this is going to be a hilarious show!
i love love Megan Hilty 💕
I can't stop watching ❤
Honestly have it playing on loop 🤣
16 times now!, I can remember the first few lines😂😂😂
Oh I love the design of this show.
We saw this last night and I was blown away (pun intended)
I NEED more than 120 seconds of this!
pretty sure its 80 second ! :) hope this helps !😁
The film is a classic I grew up watching it.
I’ve never seen this movie but now I want to see this before I see it
Looks like fun. Can't wait to see it.
This actually looks good!
Saw it last night, absolutely fantastic
This is magnificent
They crazy 🤣💀!!!
Love in it,my fav movie as show. To die for ❤❤
Wanna bet Vivziepop will try to get Megan Hilty for Hazbin Hotel
She’d make an excellent Lilith
My money's on Helluva Boss, as they have a lot more opportunity for one-off celebrity guest stars.
Sounds a lot like Rent music
They need to remake the movie too 🙏
I hate that they put their mics on their forehead
Me too, it’s weird.

much prefer that to rent-style headsets

Yes. Best way to describe it. There’s also a ballad at the end similar to the finale of War Paint.

@@serenitysfirefly Definitely got the Beetlejuice vibe too. “For the Gaze” was giving me “I Don’t Wanna Show Off” from Drowsy Chaperone!
What do both actresses have on their foreheads?
Those are their microphones
Wow Broadway has really run out of original ideas. What a travesty.
Can’t wait to see your original show!
This looks hilarious and way more like “broadway” than most of the other movie adaptations I’ve seen lately
