Nice list Nathan!!! My list: - Chungking Express - Pulp Fiction - Leon - Three Colors: Red - Clerks - The Shawshank Redemption - The Legend of Drunken Master - L’Enfer - The Crow
When it comes to movies, I am nothing but the thumb sucker. I continue to watch your show in awe, and I am embarrassed to say that I have only heard of and watched one of those movies, Pulp Fiction. You and collectors like you have such a deeper love for real cinema that blows me away. I have tried to rent some of these on different platforms, but many are not available. I can see why you value purchasing all of these physical discs and treasure them so much.
Not at all, my friend. You've got your own film journey, which is exciting to see as it sounds like you've got some gems to discover and that's what it's all about 🤘 If any of these films I'd recommend, it's the 3 Colours Trilogy. They're truly spiritual.
Fantastic video Nathan and great choices 😀🍿🎸🎶 ‘Forrest Gump’ & Shawshank are both in my Top 5 films of all time; love ‘The Lion King’; ‘Pulp Fiction’; ‘Three Colours: Red’ aswell ❤️ I definitely love to check out ‘Chungking Express’ and I did rather like ‘Reality Bites’ 😀👍 Hope you have a fantastic weekend Nathan and keep up the awesome work as ever 🤩🙌🍿🎸🎶
@@blu-rayswithnathanjones hell yeah! Posted mine a couple weeks ago. Little more main stream than some of yours. It was tough. ‘94 was a hell of a year for movies.
Long time no see my friend, I have had to put my collecting on hold and my itchy shopping fingers are tortured watching someone else still collecting, hehe. Some movies from your list I have still to watch. But at the moment many of my favorite favorite movies came out in 94. Among others. Interview with the vampire Speed Lion King Leon Pulp Fiction The Crow Ed Wood In the mouth of madness The trifecta of the Jim Carrey implosion, The Mask / Dumb & Dumber / Ace Ventura
Haha, I get that completely! I get itchy shopping fingers when I watch others as well 😂 Great choices for 94! Crazy to think of the trifecta of Carrey all coming out the same year!
Totally separate list! In The Mouth Of Madness, Immortal Beloved, The Last Seduction, Dellamorte Dellamore Crumb Shallow Grave The Madness Of King George Swimming With Sharks Quiz Show
Pretty deep year. A couple of heavy hitters that didn't quite make mine, but also a few whose placement relies heavily on nostalgia. 10. Little Women 9. Chungking Express 8. Vanya on 42nd Street 7. The Lion King 6. Pulp Fiction 5. Dumb and Dumber 4. The Shawshank Redemption 3. To Live 2. Forrest Gump 1. Speed
Interesting list. In 1994 I was doing very little besides working seven nights a week, so the cinematic releases of that year, and most years in that time period, remain a mystery. However, I did go to see Reality Bites, which I liked very much, and which introduced me to Ethan Hawk, my #1 actor of this modern era. I also went to see Serial Mom, which was OK, but I wasn't crazy about it. John Waters is a mixed blessing for me. Regarding Pulp Fiction, I came late to that particular party and didn't see it until many years later on DVD. I like many things about it, but I haven't joined the cult. My life thus far has been free of all incarnations of Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream and Scary Movie. That is unlikely to change. The other films you mentioned are titles I'm not at all familiar with, but I enjoyed your comments about them. The Color Trilogy sounds intriguing.
Thanks, Mike! Love to hear you enjoy Ethan Hawke as well, he's one of my favorites too. I hope you're able to check out the 3 Colours trilogy, cause it's incredible!
My most fave 1994 films in no order: Forrest Gump The Shadow Pulp Fiction Bullets over Broadway The Puppet Masters Leon the Professional Fatherland(HBO) Witch Hunt(HBO)
Awesome bud. Thx man

I’m happy to see Hoop Dreams make four videos so far, including mine. I know that your friend Cris also had it on his list.
It deserves to be here. It's a revolutionary documentary and even if you don't enjoy basketball, it's worth checking out. Appreciate it pal!
