If anyone is interested there’s 15 available original bank half dollar rolls from 1954- www.coinstv.net/products/original-bank-roll-of-1954-franklin-uncirculated-silver-half-dollars-20-coins?ref=TCCYT
Nice roll, nice coins. I get original rolls like that a few times a year. They sell instantly. Have you ever seen a double shotgun roll of them $20. Haven't seen on in almost 20 years. But the greatest find I ever witnessed was a mint sealed bag of 1964 Kennedys, on day of issue, documented open live by NGC. There is a video of that. That blew my mind.
Once I had a Kennedy collection, I wanted to complete the late 70 80 section. Woked in a small town south of Rochester N Y called Honeyeye Falls. There was a small bank next to the factory I worked. At lunch I walked over and bought two rolls of half dollars, stuck them underneath my car seat. After dinner I remembered they were out in the car, went out to get them. Opened both they were all 90% Kenedy and franklin. Figured someone passed away someone took them to the bank. I had to get a Franklin book! True story!
The gloves you're using aren't giving you the best tactile fit/feel,still.....opening up a full roll of "Bennies" has got to be a high most haven't ever had!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I acquired 25 Rolls of Uncirculated Bicentennial Kennedy Half Dollars (500 Coins!). I have been holding off on opening them up as I wanted to know what errors or MS grades would be worth it to submit to PCGS. I also have over 1000 Rolls of Circulated Bicentennial Quarters (over 4,000 Coins)! Same with the half dollars, wanted to make sure I knew all of the potential errors before going thru each roll. What MS Grading would I need to have that would make it worth sending off to PCGS? Thx.!
there is soooo many of these on the market, costs about 300 bucks for that, and it doesnt have a bank stamp on it, so its not even the more expensive version, this guy is lying to all your faces lol, no way he doesnt know about how many of these are out there
They look so dusty and splotchy, is there any way you can clean them to make them start off on the right foot? You can tell they were not clean before they were sent to the roll
When you say 40-90% are you referring to the amount of silver? I'm extremely new to coin collection and want to learn where the value lays. The coin itself? The age? The price you paid versus how much you can sell it for?
These rolls are very common, i am struggling to see what the big deal is. They are overprized when they are sealed and this one even looks rerolled on one side. What is the point in opening a roll like that? they come at a hefty premium and now you have $10 of Junk Silver
If you slid your fingernail or some other thin (preferably NOT metal) item into the top of a roll you can pull it apart with out destroying the paper, even if it's old, he could have done a better job.
I don't think there's "a careful way" to do it how you open it. It always tears when you open it like that. There's gotta be a way to open it without tearing it. But I don't see any value in the paper, the value is in the coins. It's not like you're going to get thousands from selling the bank roll paper in the first place😂.
I'm new to Coin, got a coin collection from my Mother going through them is a little overwhelming. I guess the collection is medium size. I have Original bank sealed half dollar rolls. (5) 1971, (8) 1972, (2) 1973, and some open rolls as well like 1965-1970 and 1964. If someone would like to help just give me a ball park what some of the rolls may worst. Thank you
A suggestion for you for old rolls. You invest in car interior removal tools. Being plastic and flexible, they won't hurt the coins and can get under the paper roll and peel it. This should help maintain the paper's integrity.
I NEED YOUR HELP! I have a potentially huge coin error in my possession. In 2004, the Michigan state quarter was minted and San Francisco was the only mint that made silver proofs for this design. I have an INCREDIBLY shiny 2004 DENVER Michigan state quarter that has a full silver rim.. It looks like it has to be proof. I took it to my local jeweler/coin guy and he said theres a chance it was electroplated but electroplated coins usually mess with the design. I am unsure what to do!

lol, first, shows the side of the roll that's clearly been opened, then proceeds to rip the other side
Dang amazing!!!
Awesome!
I had a sealed roll from a Vegas bank. It looked old but there were no silver coins in it. I saved the paper anyhow.

that has to be way more than just 10$ in your hand
Never should have opened that
Are you holding $60K worth of uncirculated 1963 silver?
Should have saved the paper.... Exacto knife 🤦🏿♂️
Back then that was damn near a whole weeks wages.
In 1965 I was making over $200.00 a wk
You're off by a factor of 5. That's one day's wages (8 hours) at minimum wage ($1.25/hour in 1963.).
Don’t opennnnnn
It's not as nice as my 2 rolls of 1874 silv $ s
A

The other day I went to an estate sale and for $160 I got 4 rolls of 40%ers and 1 roll of 90%ers along with a bunch of other silver coins
Why didn't you upload any of them? Would've been better than Nerf stuff.
Im the one that sold them to you, i feel like i may have made a mistake
@@lookin4zinc damn.

@@niqulusviii987 40%ers are forty percent silver and 90%ers are 90 percent silver making 90%ers more valuable
So beautiful

Why worry about the wrapper, you didn't plan on reuseing it were you?
Back when money had actual value.
You can take an open paper clip and gently open those.
Pure awesomeness 😊
Nice

A MUCH better job. It killed me the way he trashed the paper, such a waste. An archeologist he is not
Wow this is awesome ….
Very impressed

You don't like to answer anyone do you ive sent email and still nothing back
Wow, really? So when he says to send errors via email, he just blows his fans off? If so, that sucks.
Worth about $100, should have left them rolled up.
Then he would not have made this video!!
Couldn't have happened to a better man!!!!! Congratulations 🎉😊

What if you steamed the paper? Would it open easier then?
