I wish I had removed the intake manifold now.....the bracket & mount are a pain. I've waisted so much time trying to get the bracket & mount back in place. I wish Jabo had actually recorded how he got them back in . Thanks anyway

How exactly did you get the motor mounts back in place. I’ve spent several hours turning and flipping them around and what not to get them in place. And no luck. You’re missing a very crucial part of the process in your video.

Hi I feel my jeep vibrate a little bit when I stop on a red light or trafic while it is on drive mode , is that a engine mount suspect ?

Yes, Google says vehicle vibration is caused by engine if idling and vibration occurs during that time.

Hello, I was wondering when you did the Jeep Grand Cherokee left motor mount, did you removed the upper intake
    .

If he did he wouldn’t of had to take the bracket off I’m doin mine next week and since I already did the oil filter housing taking the top intake manifold off is super easy so iama go that route instead of removing that bracket

You must be damn Houdini reincarnated. You put that thing in even with a front differential in the way. I just installed the same driver side engine mount on a RWD Dodge Durango. The engine mount configuration is identical to the jeep. This was pain. The top two bolts are a pain to get too. The 2 screws on the shield had my hands cramping up trying to find the holes for the screws since it is impossible to see the holes. I was able to install it without removing the intake manifold. I was thinking of doing the passenger side as well but it looked like I was going to have to remove the alternator to have the space to get to bolts so I decided not to. Unfortunately after installing the driver side engine mount I noticed an oil drip coming from the passenger side. Hopefully I didn't kill that one when I lifted the engine without removing the top nut on that mount. I realized that these engine mounts seem to function just like a shock absorber. The one I replaced easily moved up and down when pulling and pushing the center stud. You could hear the oil inside move. The new one had no movement.

What part of the engine did you exactly prop the wood against?

Jabo, did you loosen the engine mount top nut on passenger side when you remove & install the new engine mount on the driver side?

Hello Jabo, my Jeep is making like transmission noise so I made an appointment at the dealership and they lifted and said that it’s the motor mounts, so I don’t know if that’s has something to do with the noise, what do you think about it?

I had a local shop tell me mine went bad. Symptoms feel like the front drivers side tire slips as if it’s on wet or snowy pavement for a split second when accelerating from a stop. That is the only thing I feel when I brought it in to them. Is this the symptoms of the motor mount? I was thinking it was the trans going….

These videos def give me the reality that I will be paying the pros to change my motor mounts. Anyone got $3k I can borrow?

It would have been nice if the video was right side up. By the way, what was the customers complaint? What were the symptoms of that bad motor mount.

if you check his other video, this is actually a starter replacement job that he did. Obviously the motor mount needs to be removed along with the bracket to access the starter. Jabo just reused that video but I wish he recorded how he got the bracket & motor maount back in place...what a nightmare trying to get them back in

You remove the intake right? 14:33 that's the only way the you can have that big gap between the motor mount braket and the mount
