- I returned to Delhi, my least favourite place in India. You meet some amazing people in India but sadly here in Delhi you'll come across countless scammers who just ruin your trip. Today I encounter the biggest scam I have had so far in India, the rickshaw scammer. Hopefully this video can help you if you decide to go India and how to avoid getting into these situations.

@@Mellow04 most of us can't even count how many times. It's a daily occurrence. I get at least 3 calls every fucking day from Indians wanting to sell me one scam or another. If Indians would put that much energy into their country, they'd probably have a good economy. But, Indians are too lazy to actually work for money. It's easier to steal money from people in other countries.
They are notoriously known to be the most dishonest people around
@@DinaZevadia Typical reta** nonsense!
I am an Indian and everyday we get like 6 - 8 scam calls. They target the elderly pretending to be law enforcement and whatnot, saying your son is in jail, to avoid digital arrest pay this and that. One lady recently died of suicide or heart attach because one such call told her daughter is running a sex racket, She couldn't take it. This is what it is, and people of my own country are going to tell me shit because I decide to speak the truth, This is a country that lives in gutters, unless you're wealthy and can create your own bubble through the absolute shit of a life that this place has to offer. And the government is busy playing religion based divide and rule games, and dumbf*cks of the country fall for it every time, instead of calling out for development, jobs, better quality of life they shout on and about their religion and false pride.
As Indian I sometimes wonder why would anyone come to this country? Only visit if you got Indian friends or you're rich to afford bodyguards to deal with scammers.
I vowed never to return to India because of all the scamming all day every day. Unfortunately, only managed to meet a few nice people

I'll never go to India
Kela ki boki aso
Evertime I see a video of India I ask myself: WHY should anybody want to go to this country?
I don't know why people go to countries like USA where you will get shot and killed or why people go to UK where you will get knifed and killed.
millions do
You are seeing only the negative part here. India receives more tourists than Bali annually
I would have been better if WHITEs said the same thing when they were coming to loot. FKN WHITE
Stupid question 😂
I like the way you insist on asking for the change. It helps reduce the number of scammers
From 100 Rupees to 1000 Rupees for a Rickshaw ride. Most dishonest people. How can you trust this people..
He was correct. This guy sits 5 people that can get 100 * 5 == 500. He was overcharging 2X. Plus was polite 😅 the drivers are generally retards and could have been got agressive
Spent 5 months backpacking round the Indian subcontinent. Delhi was the worst - if you go to India, get out of Dehli straightaway - scams start at the airport and some hotels are in on the scams. Apart from that we had no stomach problems, ate vegetarian only, drunk bottled water. We stayed in cheap hotels and homestays most of the time and ate in local resturants - no street food. We found Indians to mostly be very friendly and interested in why you are in their country. Aye its noisy and chaotic but also colourful and different.
This looks a bit like Southall,London.Same smells too.
What??? London has places that look and smells like Delhi??? 😮
@@CoolCat-rw6pp Yes,total garbage hole.
@@CoolCat-rw6ppdon't get excited dear indian nationalist.
It's because these indians are starting to move to London
No there is no place like Delhi in whole world
Northern India is full of scammer, pollution and what not
You are saying London city smells bad
I have heard many people in India saying that India is better than China 😂
So yah I guess you people should see someone
Accept the truth
When in India on my last trip I used Uber to get a price for rickshaw trips. It’s amazing how the drivers differ from city to city…in Chennai they try and overcharge, but in Mumbai they were happy to turn on a meter.
Absolutely true
Sometimes you need to experience the chaos, there’s nothing like it. Agree with Ben, get a local guide, worth every cent. I did Bangalore last year, experienced a little chaos but manageable, even on your own. No issues with scamming, hassles or ripoffs in Bangalore but used public transport.
As always in every raw video I've seen about India streets, only one word to describe it. Chaotic! 😵💫 And Ben, you may want to start taking supplement like betaine HCL, or apple cider vinegar or lemon water to maintain your stomach acid ph level so that any possible bacteria or virus gotten into your stomach gets obliterated by the stomach acid. Your stomach acid is your first line of defense. Getting diarrhea indicates food poisoning due to bacteria contaminated food or drinks.
I've been, Not a bad vid Ben,
But honestly, The Delhi I experienced was far worse than what you showed.
You can't trust a soul.
Thanks for the truth... never wonder why anyone goes to these places
You should carry smaller denominations of the local currency so you don't have to ask for change back. Solves the arguments
This!
Or the driver carries them and doesn’t scam?
@@BackpackerBenohh they forgot :) master scammers
Yep - I dont understand why Ben doesn't just grow a pair and use his brain. Just give the robber 100 rupees and walk away. Giving him 500 or 1000 when Ben knew he is a scammer is plain stupidity!!
or book from Uber
Delhi is amazing I spent a 2 weeks there last year, only one rickshaw tried to scam me, and I always carried small notes. Try and find one good driver and use the same one all the time much easier. To avoid diarrhoea you have to be Very careful what you eat.
The "this is all I have" works pretty well with these guys.
I don’t know how you do it in India. Just nothing entices me to go.
Sri Lanka so much better.
You couldn't pay me to go to India
But I would pay to go to Sri Lanka
Yes Sri Lanka is nice.

Ladakh, kashmir, himachal pradesh, east India, kerela. Man really knows India!!
Very good driver, but you have nearly crashed a few times to be honest....😂😂😂
Worst driver in the city
If anyone reading this is contemplating coming to Delhi, as a local I'd highly not recommend! Please stay away from this place as much as you can! You are not missing out on anything! However, if you plan to visit the Taj Mahal from Delhi, consider flying to Lucknow (which is closeby), or directly to Agra!
As a general rule of thumb, avoid all the big cities in India, including the ones in the south as they are a crowded mess.
If you are looking to come to India, then look for places in Himachal pradesh, uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and laddakh.
If you want to experience something different travel to the north east! Amazing people, with great food and scenes. Moreover, if you want a beach holiday, then avoid Goa and visit hidden gems in Kerala!
Great vid Ben & Kat, reminds me of a time..I've itchy feet to go to where i want to, just need the old confidence back.. Regards

Serious question mate... Where do you spend a penny if you have the runs and can't find a loo?
🤔
Every vlog in India on youtube are literally the same. Scammers all over the streets, endless car honking, streets are dirty as fk
Also the people are disgustingly dirty.!!!
Sadly India is not for beginners.
It’s not for advanced
@@BackpackerBen Definitely it's only for creeps like Ben the cheap.
It's like the final stage of hell on earth.
I've been to way poorer places, cambodia, laos, but nowhere is there so much ... desperation
You couldn't pay me a million rupees to spend even one day in this shithole of a country. This has nothing to do with racism, I just can't stand insanely overcrowded, insanely noisy places where everyone sees me as a target.
That’s tonight’s telly sorted out ‘brother’! This will be another banger no doubt. Great content at the moment mate… hilarious viewing.
You go to Old Delhi and visit the largest spice market and what do you expect? You won't cough, is it ? Old Delhi is over a 1k years old but didn't see you visit New Delhi. Show both sides. You just wantedvto show the poorer side.
Just don't show your prejudices.
I am asking you as an Indian, is that rickshaw driver right?
Is this a Scam vlog, Ben has multiple times visited India in the past if he has horrible past experiences, then why did he return to this country, this is a low level Sensationalism focusing on one incident. He knows to be careful as Delhi and some places in Northern India are not the best of places in India for tourist due to its bad reputation of various scams. Southern India and North Eastern India are better options for tourist
You can always be careful but you can’t never avoid it completely unfortunately! 😣
He is smart enough to avoid it he has widely travelled around the world, just call the police and fix the scammer😮
@@Newbournej it only means you are more aware but doesn’t mean you avoid at all costs, sadly! Police don’t give a damn! 🙁
Just take ride hailing Apps such as Ola and Uber for travel or Delhi Metro, while deliberately going for unregulated 3 wheeler hiring for travel looks like it was done for Sensationalism as he knows fully well that Old Delhi has a bad scam reputation for overcharging tourist
