That's not unusual in my family. I don't remember any of us (my cousins, siblings and myself) ever introducing any girlfriends or boyfriends to the "grown ups". You don't until you have decided to marry that person and you have made that decision official in words and act.

Poor orator, fake accent, can't even speak a second language, dresses like a matron (to the point she took to copying Meghan's style), has never come up with an original idea to boost her charities fundraising efforts, in fact she has no qualms showing up empty handed to food banks with a bunch of photographers and a camera crew in tow. None of their charities generate tangible results for local communities; last year Royal Foundation donated £14, 000 to charities and spent MILLIONS on research...nice way to divert funds into their pockets! Pathetic doesn't even begin to describe.

It wasn't exactly in her capacity as a 'family member' but was in fact in the capacity of the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the Queen was an old fashioned lady she didn't meet and chat with a family members on/off girlfriend/boyfriend) There were strict protocols when meeting the sovereign especially in the early days of her reign.

During the pandemic, there was a clip of the queen meeting the family, they bowed and curtseyed to her, she steadfastly ignored Kate.

Secondly. The queen loathed Kate, whilst kate and william were still messing around, she was heard asking, what Kate does because the only news seemed to centered around Kate falling in and out of clubs with William. It was the queen who coined the term Duchess doLittle.
Fundamentlally, On 08th December 2020. Kate curtseyed to her and QEII literally looked past her as if she didn't exist. Kate and William had just come back from Scotland and Wales on some ill advised Covid goodwill trip, which pissed off the Scottish and Welsh 1st Ministers. the whole thing was an epic FAIL. To counter the negative publicity, the Palace machinery dragged the senior royals to the Windsor castle steps for some silly ceremony, just to try and make the royals appear relevant. The queen was so pissed off she didn't even bother to spare Kate a glance when Kate stepped forward to take a curtsey.
Kate was not even invited to bid the queen goodbye on her deathbed, instead she was ordered to stay at Windsor, and then her absence was used as an excuse to keep Meghan away.
The Queen has female blood relatives who she would have bequeathed any jewellery before she bequeathed them to Kate. In fact as the matter stands, the in the last few years there has been a quiet furore about missing jewels which were last seen on Kate....according to what you are saying she must have helped herself to some jewellery

In comparison, queens Letizia, Mary, Maxima had real jobs before marrying the heirs, and as such have real skills which they bring to bear to their jobs

Yes, i never bother to know boyfriends or girfriend of family members into a personal level, but when they announce they will be getting married i do want to get closer to them. I don't want to meet someone only for them to leave later, only when things get official and they will be a member of my family.
