did my first open jam this week. played Testify, sang Hey Joe and Layla which weren't the cleanest versions i was especially soppy on the Layla riff but I've practiced my chops quite a bit at home I got the major minor pentatonic and jazz and major and minor and diatonic scales all over the neck so it was fun. learned em in pretty much every key on a neck with no inlays.
took my squier strat and my vox vt20+ WHICH has a power level so i lower it but crank everything else and it sounds like a straighthru circuit to the speaker to me i'm not using the resistors of the knobs but letting them fully carry the charge from tube to tube. big sound not much hum from the power level gotta get a new guitar soon i'm sick of hacking this squier for a clean tone between two positions that i forgot to use while i was there my friend asked me what the static was and i didn't know when i answered her.
What is the brand of the looper that Michael uses Can you share that info with us? Great video Jen. And Michael i watch every day and filmed that you two and all the many other great guitarist you have help with the videos is a real treat. Thank so very much for doing these I love them. Can you also maybe have Nick do a couple videos. I enjoy listening to his playing as well.
Beautiful guitar playing, Lemmo! Seems like the sound was a bit strong on the low E string frequencies. Was it in the #2 amp input for a -3 dB input signal? If not, please try that to tame the low frequency droning hum.
Beautifully played. Saw Herb play live many times, often with Barney Kessel. Herb replaced Barney in the Oscar Peterson Trio back in the 50s.
Wow that guitar is stunningly beautiful !!! Love your playing Lemmo, always !!! Thanks Jen !!!
Beautiful tone. And always sweet playing by Mike.
Lemmo on a jazzbox is becoming a regular vibe. Diggin this side of his playing.
3:25 Daaaaamn, so effortless and so incredibly clean! Always a pleasure to hear you play Lemmo. Hope all is well :)
Beautiful guitar! Beautiful sound!
Beautiful. Love that shape, finish & single pickup sound. I own a similar shape es, just 45 years older. Very nice playing as well.
Love that tune! 😍
That’s a chord guru’s guitar. That guitar is awesome.
You make the Herb Ellis sound as smooth as silk. Thanks for sharing this beauty on GOTD. Peace!
Cool shirt Lemmo! Guitar of the day is sounding good as usual! Awesome video Jen!
Michael and Rodzilla sounding good. 🤘🏼
The Lemmo Loop, love it. Thanks Mr L and Jen!
Beautiful-looking and sounding guitar and beautiful performance!
We need that song you played on Spotify brother. Watched this vid on repeat
Michael lemmo shirt looks cool nostalgic
Beautiful guitar
Just got this exact guitar. Cool.
Nice tone and nice color!
Love the wine red
amazing as usual lemmo
Love that Wes Montgomery tune your playing!
Damn, that ruby red. Looks like a jewel.
That guitar is absolutely gorgeous
Semi-hollows are great for ambient and lo-fi sounds. Hope we'll hear those by Mike at some point 🙏
The Herb Ellis ES-165 is a full hollowbody guitar, rather than a semi-hollow.
@@ChuckNicholsonTRM thank you for your valuable comment man, it's changed everything!
Brilliant by Lemmo as usual.
Cool Daddio. You do that axe proud.
Nice--relaxing, like the arpeggios'-- God Bless' 💜
Wowzers 😯

'Ditto'
Beautiful ❤
Even with that shirt Michael, you still sound amazing...
Oh my
Loop section sounds sexy af! Definitely would record that song with this guitar! Sounds like a perfect match 👌
Hi Michael, absolutely stunning guitar! what song are you playing there?
Mi Cosa by Wes Montgomery.
@@JamesSeaberry actually I was just wondering about the part where he starts using the Looper but thank you.
@@Sirkirkwood19 Oops!!! I'm often off the mark.
What smooth jazz song was you playing??? I have that song just can’t remember the name of that song…
Is it laminated top and bottom? Thanks
Great.
PF didn't want to sound like EC so chose Barney Kessle innstead as inspiration.
Same generation.
What's your favorite gutair mine is qn sg gibson
Mi Cosa!
Is that like an ES175, laminated body, or carved solid woods ?
All ES models are laminated. AFAIK Gibson has never made an electric guitar with solid maple top.
@@peterchoe Right. Thanks.
@@peterchoe The L9 thinline archtop made for a short while in the 2010s has a solid carved maple top
Second song name ?
That guitar would sound even better thru a fishman. A little drone going on thru the fender amp. Nice job Lemmo as always
i’d also like to know what the second song is. i wanna cover it, but also give credit lol
After such a demonstration, one gets the impression that Herb Ellis wrote music for video games.
👌

I totally agree. But I've never known NRG to ever comment on anyone's questions. They must be too important to do so
Hi everyone, what's about Jack Ryan Sullivan ,??? We didn't see him on last video ???

This was sold just the way you want to sell a jazz box. If I had the money, I'd buy it (but I bet it's already SOLD)...
Floating pick up. Serious business. Dead giveaway. Herb & Howard wouldn’t be caught dead in that shirt.
White shirt, Black shirt,
Red shirt, Blue shirt,
Just listen to that sound!
Thanks Mike
Beautifully played. ML, love ya bro, but quit hiding your face . Get a good haircut. Really trying to help.
