- Well it's been fun Japan but it's time for me to go back home to Los Angeles! Before I leave though, Yasu and I link-up with our friends from NO GOOD RACING for a fun cruise night! Ryuji wanted to have a get-together before I left and it worked out that I had a free weekend open for some fun. I still haven't packed my suitcase or anything but hell, I can never turn down an evening of car activities in Osaka. You never know what to expect or what will happen but it's almost always an amazing adventure.

That washer helps the regulator read pressure correctly. It sits evenly around the threads so the fuel can be fed in evenly manner. Using the normal washer the pressure can be super low or spike up to 70+psi. Simple things can cause the biggest headaches

When my honda does the surging idle it's 99% of the time the iac. Idle air control valve. Hope that helps someone. 👨🏻🔧🤘🏻 Great video btw.

Was in the area of Namba about the same time and kept hearing loud exhaust on the loop. Kept wondering where everyone was meeting so I can join in the fun, but to no avail. That first meeting point with all the cars would've been nice!

does the N1 EK need mapping? Sounds to have serious flutter on part throttle but seems strong under WOT 🤔
It definitely needs a tune and the injectors are way too big for the engine

@@wrk_in.progress7524 B18C and B16B are common enough where we never need to consider using what they consider to be a lesser engine. If it’s a Type R, it’s gotta have a Type R B16B, B18C or K20A.
@8:30 my car was idling like that due to my ventilation hose from valve cover to intake manifold, it stop rough idling after i installed a pcv valve in between the hose

N1 ecu makes VTEC engage much earlier but the car was misfiring because there's too much fuel.

Early VTEC engagement
I had that issue with my kswap ek9, just got a fresh set of spark plugs and it was fine. 👍🏼
Misfires. Needs a tune. Running rich aswell. Judging by last video. Smoking black too much

@THECHRONICLES well. Dyno tube When ever you get a chance bro. Maybe on your next visit when the car comes out of hibernation lol.
The reason the idle is bouncing is because the ICAV or whatever is stuck open or there is massive airlock causing the Coolant sensor to read cold and is allowing excess air to pass when the TPS is at 0%. Most of the time we just disable them and turn them off but this one might be on a stock, unchipped ECU like most of them are in Japan🤣
