Please could you share a recipe/video on how to make halloumi cheese from scratch? I've been looking for it everywhere but it isn't available where I live.
I bought this for the first time, in Lidl. I put it on toast and grilled it. Of course it didnt melt (l didnt know it doesnt melt). Totally tasteless, and a rubbery texture. Was like trying to eat silicone. Yuk. 😝
I have heard you on this channel talk about Baklava and now halloumi! Never to mention that any of these dishes are in the Greek Culture! Halloumi is from Cyprus ! Baklava is the Greek way you say they dish ! Bsklawa is Middle East pronouncements. So Give Greeks Greece Cyprus credit ! Maybe next you will say Feta originated from the Middle East ? Be fair !
Watch the video - it literally says the Halloumi is from Cyprus. And the Baklava one I use phyllo from Athens. I can't go into history and origins. I try to just focus on the recipes here.
I still can’t believe this cheese is that yummy yet it’s really healthy.
Right?! It's SO good!
Love anything with halloumi! I usually eat it with hummus and cucumber in a pitta! Delicious!!
That's so delicious too! So many great ways to enjoy it!
Nothing like the Cyprus 🇨🇾 halloumi cheese, the original cheese.

I don't have a recipe for that, as I usually buy it from the store.
Do you have a certain type of grill pan that you like? I have a disappointing ceramic one. Thanks!
What brand of the cheese is the best
What does roasting have to do with grilling?
Mine melted when I put it in the pan
Why 2 dislikes .....might be from some closed ones😂
It is too salty for me. I am going to try it in a stir fry with a sweet sauce.
😎
It tastes rubbery
Mine stick to the PAN T_T
Is there even a such thing as “too salty” 😅
Oh, for sure! Hahah
