I have switched off the auto download in the DJI app. It is really annoying that the don't just roll back the upgrade. It is situations like this that make me less willing to invest in another drone just so they can down grade that too when the feeling takes them.
I crashed my air 2 s , my fault completely. I had the drone tweaks fcc app installed at the time. DJI care refresh covered my claim with a new air 2s no questions asked about fcc app.
Nicely done Gavin! I moved back to the UK 2 weeks ago and I started to notice those exact same problems that I previously hadn't experienced at all whilst away in Brazil. Now it just makes perfect sense, still managed to get some good shots in London and here in Romford though
Exactly the point of the video Stephen, 14dbm is too low and causes these issues. It needs to be looked at and I've now raised awareness with them so you never know
Great video Gavin. Great information. However, as I indicated before, I did not update to the latest firmware. I have no issues with satellites nor interference. I have recently flown in an area with high inferences such as in your video and have achieved distances of over 700 meters without signal dropping. It is unfortunate that the new firmware is still causing these problems. Keep safe.
I do wonder about some of these rules. I understand there has been some people flying places where they shouldn't but as you point out having a bad signal or bad connection surely is far more dangerous. This rule I have never understood, these rules and regulations are supposed to be for safety etc but some of the rules I think are ridiculous and have nothing to do with safety. Great information 👍
exactly my point of the video :) so much safer to have a stronger connection, safety first and regulations second I believe is what Ken Heron said and he is right
@@GAVINHR Yeah exactly we always seem to get the short straw regarding the rules and regulations I guess the only good rule we have in the Uk is the under 250g where we can fly pretty much where we want. Some of these rules and regulations just do not make sense. Begs the question? Is flying a drone beyond visual of line of sight more of a ‘crime’ than driving a motor car at 10mph over the speed limit. I think a car at any speed can do considerably more damage than any drone that weighs a mere quarter of the weight of a bag of sugar 🤔.
The thing is here, the use of these apps are only really allowing the drone to fly even still within UK regs, but as a safety aspect I think the max allowed broadcasting power under CE regs needs looking at, I reported back my findings so let's see if it becomes a consideration
@@grizzlybear2702 no shit. Too many drone Karen's from "land of the free" police state America..usually, telling you what to do and get a "part 107" Just fly responsible. Its that simple
The VLOS requirement for a camera drone is pointless in my opinion, especially in a rural environment. If you're flying 30m away you can easily fly your drone back safely without using the screen. If you're flying further away (or up) where your drone is just a dot in the sky you can't even tell which way the drone is facing, which could make it very hard to navigate your way home. We need to rely on the technology, the video feed and the return to home function. We already have the technology to fly BVLOS and many people do just that.
Yep! Well I had to make sure that the bases were covered to do a video like this mate ! I've not spoken to the developer but I do think it will be only possible using your phone / App / RC-N1 controller
Pretty sure I've heard the new smart controller with the mini 3 Pro runs on android, so it's only a matter of time until apps can be side loaded to it I'm sure. Where there's a will there's a way
Mod DJI Fly iOS v1.4.8 Increase range and signal strength by around 70% Unlock 5.8 GHz band in restricted locations Weather Status Alert, Fn Button Override, Auto iPhone Charging Unlock Airsense (ADSB) on supported Mavic Air 2 drones
Of course the bigger question is WHY are CE power transmission regulations crap & dumbed down in the first place, when compared to other regions. And, now that we've Brexited, WHY is the Uk still being shackled by weak CE regs?
I’m losing signal while it’s directly over my head… I’m losing signal while it’s hovering over my head and while it’s in direct line of sight, no further than a 50 meters away with, a direct line of sight…
@@danilozasimowicz2387 I got ahold of customer service, thru the app and they went into my drone and remote and did some stuff while I was on the phone with them and I haven’t had the problem since then. You can call them or, chat online, which is what I did. I prefer that method because, I’m not much of a conversationalist these days. I had a stroke a couple yrs back and my linguistic skills are, sub par. However, you can contact them either way right thru the DJI Fly App… Hope this helps you
If I done drone tweaks (if as I probably won’t) I have a DJI mini 1 so I don’t think it works on that but if I get a mini 2 or mini 3 which would you recommend as I live in a area we’re I get bad signal (200-300meters)
I have seen the issues with the poor connection with your Mini2. Only I haven't experienced it with my mini2 with the latest software update. I live in Holland and using an Android device. In Urban area tested 1 kilometer away no issues. I don't know how some people have these issues and others don't. Good luck with your channel Gavin!
Thank you! I guess some areas may just have more interference than others with with the drone may do a better job in some scenarios! glad to hear yours is all ok however and thank you for watching!
I purchased this app and have tested it on a few flights, absolutely brilliant!! I’m not that bothered about trying to fly too far out but I do like that in built up areas such as where I live I can now fly around 500m and more if needed without connection issues. I did get over 900m while I tested it out but brought it back as that was far beyond what I will fly at home .
Thks info. Bro. Its true it not safe. I did lose it in that situation due to signal loses even we can see the drone. Irritating of cost but there no option to this matter
So, apologies for the stupid questions. I'm brand new to this. I now own a mini 2, but haven't taken it out of the box, and have zero experience using any drone. I'm an American, but hope to someday travel with it. Just to clarify, it's not a hardware issue based on where you buy it, but an issue of where you fly it? Is that correct? So if I came to the UK, with my American purchased mini 2, I'd be subject to the same issues? And since I've yet to use my mini 2, is it likely to have the previous firmware? And if so, am I better off not updating it?
A difficulty arises in that you may have demonstrated to Ofcom that drones are unsafe in urban environments. They could just as easily lead to a ban on urban drone flights as to your desired outcome of an increase in permitted signal power.
The feedback was overly positive to be fair Graham and actually seemed quite receptive and open to the suggestion that we should be able to free up more power for applications such as UAS, will it change anything ? I suspect not
@@GAVINHR good to know that they aren't taking the wrong view of things. In your initial video I think I remember you switching the settings to 5.8ghz only? This surprised me because why would you disable half the available signal options? The CE power limit for 2.4ghz is much higher than 5.8ghz
Good video . . . its also possible to do this for free . . . but has to be applied each time the drone is used . . via an android app using the bottom USBC port of the controller . . . quick and easy and works . . the name is "mavic air 2 fcc" . . . . i find I dont really need it in rural areas anyway, but nice to have an option . . . . enjoy
What's more interesting: There's a free FCC hack circling the web, that works with the Mini 2 and RC-N1. It also works with other RC-N1 controlled drones. I'm curious if it also works on the Mini 3 in combination with the RC-N1 controller?
I'm afraid there will a large number of Mini 3 owners with the new controller that won't be able to use a modified app that gives them FCC power/range.
Keep the MINI2 and buy the battery harness that allows you to use the Mini3 47 minute battery with your Mini2 Just mount the battery on top of your Mini2.
is this issue just on the mini 2? I've got the mini 2 for a specific use and now im unable to use it for this because of the connection issues. is the mini 3 pro also victim to this?
I understand fully on that one, when I perform tests I always test with rationale what's in front of me, of course in EU we are limited from the start so like yourself in the UAE certainly enjoy a better connection
@@GAVINHR We have better connection, but unfortunately with deadly drone activity from Yemen, all public drone flying is now banned. You win some, you lose some. Lol.
great info gavin 👍, purchased the app- just 1 thing i noticed upon activation - its valid for 365 days only, hope it can be renewed each year 🤞🤞🤞, still a bargain for better signal , cheers
@@amilligiavonni Gav’s covered it but in a bit more detail (as its not my RUclips channel 😂) two main options 1) Drone Tweaks - this is a modified DJI Fly app for iOS or android, really easy to use - only thing you have to watch is that it doesn’t auto launch the stock version when turning on the controller. Its €24 and lasts 12 months; it will require another €24 after that. The 2) option is drone hacks. This is a permanent hack which requires you flashing the drone itself. When starting the mini 2 you have to activate FCC mode (button press when it boots, takes 5 seconds). This mod will then just use the standard DJI stock app. Its €40 for this. I’ve tried both, they both have pros and cons - both work great though. I don’t personally like the 12 month license - its not the cost, because customer service was great its just if they stop supporting it. Big advantage with this though is its app based, so if you have multiple drones that use DJI fly (air2s, mini 2, mini 3 pro etc) then it will work with all of them. No risk of bricking your drone, and also isn’t dependent on firmware version. The drone hacks one is based on the drone, so you’d have to do it on each drone, also there’s always a chance of bricking your drone when flashing it. Also isn’t possible on certain versions of the firmware. It is more expensive but it is permanent so if they stop supporting it, you’ll still have fcc on the drone. Drone Tweaks is definitely more straightforward, drone hacks gives some other bonuses like DNZ zone removals, parameter editing.
Good test. It doesn’t seem to make sense as far as withholding this from users is concerned. What do the BDF say? The only thing that baffles me though is how can one expect to see that tiny drone (I have one too) at 500 meters with the naked eye? Or even at 250 meters in that urban environment? Or us that a misunderstanding of the rules on my part? I’ve had my drone out at 600 meters over open water (at the coast) before. But I couldn’t say I could see the drone at that distance. Just wondering. 🙂
Purely as using it breaches CE outputs I don't want to be seen to be promoting it. Personal I can easily see the Mavic mini at 200m I guess it is dependant on individuals, VLOS aside the current signal quality out of the mini 2 is quite poor so in urban areas I feel safety is more important, even if you can see your drone if you can't control it due to a poor signal then that's a greater hazard to me than exceeding VLOS.
Can you do a similar test with it locked to 2.4GHz versus leaving it in Dual and letting Occusync (badly) choose. I think you'll find 2.4GHz will hang onto a signal far better than 5.8GHz. Doing this works for me, and over the town allows me to easily get to the point it needs a strobe on to see it. I think you will be surprised....
Hi there, I have attempted this many times with the results not consistent enough to be able to make a proper video of it sadly, My theory is that as 5.8ghz is becoming more congested 2.4 would actually become the better frequency but to make a video as thorough as I like I need repeatable results which is still lacking
@@GAVINHR OK, thanks for trying, each location will obviously vary. I think CE legal 5.8Ghz is so underpowered, I reckon 400-500m seems to be its max urban range where I live, with the Mini 2 forced to 5.8GHz. I can usually achieve urban 1500m with the Mini 2 forced to 2.4GHz, hence the need for a strobe! I just wish DJI provided a way to remember the frequency setting, rather than always defaulting to Dual frequency and relying on Occusync's poor selection, but for now I just add it to the preflight tick list.
Hi can you help a very frustrated newbie pls,I've recently bought a mini 2 and find it near impossible to pair up to start flying, I've downloaded the latest dji fly app my controller and drone are both on but can't seem to get any where else. I've gone through the procedure and it saying in app that I'm not connected to mobile device, am I'm missing something. Do I need to register my drone with dji first for it to connect up,just don't get it. I've taken out the refresh protection also. Hope someone out there can help,it's driving me bonkers.
Simple thing would be to check you have the right cable from the controller to your phone ? In the controller one stays in the controller the other to yohr phone make sure you are connecting the right cable
Thanks for the video Gavin. I plan to buy the DJI Mini 3 in a few months. I was wondering if you could do so Beginner guides and go over the CAA rules in the UK. Thanks
That new firmware has made it impossible to fly my drone at 100meters in urban areas it says transmission blocked and looses all control and return's to home even when the drone is few feet infront of me I have no control I have to walk to the drone and snatch it out of the air this is highly upsetting
Brilliant Gavin! So one can assume the Mini 3 will also suffer the same issue? When i looked on "Drone Tweaks" they claimed it almost halved, from an FCC allowed noise of 26dB on 5.8Ghz all the way down to 14dB for CE, which is a very big difference given the logarithmic nature of the dB scale. And For Ocusync 2.0 drones (Air 2, Mini 2, Mavic 2) for example, this drops the maximum range from 10km to 6km and offers much less stability at close distances when going behind obstacles like trees or houses or when flying in area with high interference. So obviously this would be a great app to purchase when anyone is traveling abroad where the higher output is allowed.
What effect would deleting the app and then reinstalling using a VPN that puts you virtually in the USA? Would that then allow you to download the USA version and give you the greater range as in the USA? Your opinion and advice please Gavin. I am in Portugal flying a Mavic Air2, so does this range discrimination only affect the Mini2?
From Gavin... "Thank you for the kind words, sadly even a USA one wouldn't work as it's signal limited by it's gps location so as soon as you took it out of the US it would know and go to CE levels"
Nicely explained gavin Thankyou , iv had same problems signal dropping out over water drone actually hovering but was in sight so could fly back by sight. quite worrying
Gavin please don't focus solely on the Mini 3 now its out and abandon us Mini 2 users. Some time ago you did videos with the Mini 2 and Litchi on many of the options but didn't cover them all - I'm waiting for you to do a full video on Litchi Waypoints
@@GAVINHR You're right, I meant to put this comment on one of your other videos but had too many tabs open! Please do still look at Litchi waypoints for the Mini 2 though! Great channel :)
Hi Gavin Very informative video again as always. Does this app replace/overwrite the native DJI Fly app, or can you have both apps installed on your phone/tablet at the same time?
Hi there, it is a full replacement yes therefore all your flight logs sync as they should, I believe iOS you can have both installed as for Android they say one at a time - not entirely sure why
I am so glad you put this video out I was having the Exact same problem ended up knocking my confidence that much that I got rid of it so I decided to get the mini 3 pro 😁
Real world tests are showing bearly 1,000 metres with the mini 3 pro and the dji RC so it seems it’ll be similar if not worse than the mini 2 CE (this was CE mini 3s). Personally I’m not bothered about 1,000 metre range its more the stability of the connection which is lacking.
@@GAVINHR Here’s the one linked off reddit (ruclips.net/video/aUXbnnueUUM/видео.html) weak signal at 700ish. The DC rainmaker video is here ruclips.net/video/EkDyjDtOeWE/видео.html its around 5 mins 18 secs in. In a urban setting as per your DT hack video I bet its more like 300-400 if that. so are you saying that before they did the firmware update that we were flying illegally? And as it was the DJI fly app I assume that means that it has been reduced for all of their drones so we will be suffering with everything not just the mini two. Except for maybe the pro platinum which uses to go 4 app. Don’t know whether they did the same thing with that
Your such a tease lol 😆. I purchased the litchi app on Saturday and I must say I am impressed 😎. Have you any tips for when I test the follow mode out to film me on my motorbike 😁. Can I just set it all up ready to go then put the controller in my rucksack 🤔 Keep the great content coming buddy 👍
Yep you can do that, I guess you could even get a bike mount from somewhere also! For s motorbike I would suggest using the GPS follow mode, set your direction and go from there, hope that helps
Smart test not really illegal, and a good demo to the CAA that we should have ignored EASA on this issue - they don't recognise CAA qualifications, do what's homolegation about since we left the EU?
That was my point, I did feedback this to OFCOM and they seemed to take it on board, I have been approached by this developer on a couple of occasions but always declined but after now losing connection at such short distances I felt it was a good topic regards to safety, You are right though we are no longer part of EU so maybe that can be looked at
Great test and explanation. However it would be great to know and learn why in Europe we have not the same strength signal as in the US...this makes no sense at all and i agree with you that FCC strenght improves the safety a lot
There’s a lot more interference in the u.s, we’re smaller then Texas so could you imagine all the internet use the interference in a country like America is going to be alot more then here hence
Simple explanation - it comes about as a result of Pilots not abiding by the regulations. Example: idiots flying over busy airports or miles off (not literally of course) having total disregard for VLOS. Nobody can convince me that they are able to keep unaided visual contact with the miniature Mini 2 when it’s 1 mile/km away.
If I take my US Mini 2 to Europe this summer will it reset itself to the EU mode? If so will it revert back to FCC when it returns to the US? Will I need the app you mentioned to force it back to FCC from the more restrictive EU mode? If so I may not do the update until I get back, I've held off this long.
Hi Rick, yes that first part is correct, if you come to EU the drone will know it's location and stick to EU broadcasting power but will return to normal when you go back to the US you won't need to purchase anything:)
HOLD UP, I'm experiencing the recent signal and disconnect drop outs (never had this problem when first got drone, plus I fly in rural area) But I'm in USA, how does this explain my drone flight quality degradation? Am I not receiving the FCC signal?
You will still be seeing it yes and you will be running in FCC mode it is just that because you have a greater signal to begin with it somewhat masks the disaster we are getting here over in Europe however the drop in signal strength after the last update is noticeable worldwide
5:14 connection vs distance .. isn't that the real concern? .. yet you only flew about 10m further out with the stronger signal?? Not sure you have proven much here.
Ok so you found a way to improve signal strength, but do you know why DJI decreased it so much in the last firmware update? And I guess that didn't change anything to the time it takes to acquire the GPS satellites?
I noticed that I have the same weak signal issues and thought there may be something wrong with my drone. Coming to think of it since watching your video it has been since the last update. Isn't it possible to roll back the update to a previous version?
@@GAVINHR Well, I well and truly feel robbed :-( Any idea what the last known good version was? I guess this is going to be the same issue with the mini 3 pro. Cheers
@@sousarogers You might be lucky with "old stock". You could always buy from someone by mail order/distamce selling and send it backj for a a refund if it has the newer firmware already installed on the Mini.
Really interesting comparison video Gav. Got a couple of questions though - so its iOS only from what I’ve seen but via link so did you need to jailbreak your iPhone (i assume you are “tweaking” it… 😏? Also I’m on older firmware after using your rollback video (so updated the battery drain fix but then rolled back to the one before, before DJI stopped the loophole) - does that mean that EU mini 2s were running stronger signals with that firmware or would it still have been below FCC? Wondering if there would be any benefit for someone doing this who was on older firmware anyway. Strange decision from DJI, wonder if they got complaints by the authorities in UK/EU that the signal strength was too strong.
Hi there, it's certainly not iOS only I'm using an android device :) no jailbreaking at all it nothing needed in that respect, no the mini 2's were running the max permitted bit it seems to be eve. Worse for whatever reason after the FW update, the difference even on older firmware is huge still
@@GAVINHR thanks for the info 👍 looks like the one I was looking at have developed an android version since the original video (which was iOS only). Totally agree on your safety comments, needs to be reconsidered.
You don’t need to jailbreak iOS as the drone-tweaks has a developers account from apple and can use your uuid to allow the app to be installed on your iPhone/iPad as if it were from the Apple store
I hope you make over 500 pounds from this video. Because I would have kept quiet and used my 500 pound drone with the app rather than it be an expensive piece of Wright brothers plastic that keeps losing connection. In the UK we are always being shafted with what could be. We have great drones, but are hampered by lack of connection power. The same with cb radio all those years ago. 25 years later we finally get what we should have had all those Years before. If your getting a Mini 3 how about buying it in the USA? I enjoy your videos :)
Thank you for the kind words, sadly even a USA one wouldn't work as it's signal limited by it's gps location so as soon as you took it out of the US it would know and go to CE levels
You can mess around apparently with the maps, while connected to Wi-Fi, say your in Scotland you can pull up Wales etc, then you put your phone on flight mode, and I'm sure it thinks your in Wales, so maybe if you pull up America in the maps, then put it on flight mode, that might work.
@@GAVINHR oh ok I didn't realise that. I thought a FCC version would still work the same as over there. Well that scuppers my idea of getting one from the USA!!
Purchased? There are videos out here with a link to free version of "Mavic air 2 FCC" .. Works perfect, patch your controller to FCC and once switched off it's back to legal CE again.
I need your help csn you advice me weather I should go and buy the mini 2 or get the mini 3 ??? And also the mini 3 fly kit plus will the longer batteries work in the UK??
The hack on the Mini2 is not fully automatic like on the other drones, for the Mini2 you need to press the button on the butt of the drone after boot, wait a few seconds until the beeping stops, then press it again, after that the drone will blink red at the front light. Now the hack is active. This procedure needs to be done after every boot of the drone, but thats it. No internet needed, mobile phone OS does not matter, and even SmartController is supported 100%

I know what your talking about- drone hacks are pretty incredible- especially if your in India with 15m alt limits. This along with a GOOD set of yagis and transmission settings set to 5.8ghz will really boost your range I find if your in a clear spot
If you fly old analogue FPV, your legal RF transmitting power is a mere 25mw. On 5.8ghz, that's pretty useless. Obviously, nobody sticks to that ruling and 1200mw is commonplace....Gotta love the EU and their jobsworth rules...😳🤔😀🇬🇧

@@Matanumi I flew my mini 2 almost 4km away in my local park and nothing happened. Im from uk. So what if it’s illegal How would I get caught

Pretty sure I've heard the new smart controller with the mini 3 Pro runs on android, so it's only a matter of time until apps can be side loaded to it I'm sure. Where there's a will there's a way
Mod DJI Fly iOS v1.4.8
Increase range and signal strength by around 70%
Unlock 5.8 GHz band in restricted locations
Weather Status Alert, Fn Button Override, Auto iPhone Charging
Unlock Airsense (ADSB) on supported Mavic Air 2 drones
Of course the bigger question is WHY are CE power transmission regulations crap & dumbed down in the first place, when compared to other regions. And, now that we've Brexited, WHY is the Uk still being shackled by weak CE regs?
I see in the UK your house can be any color as long as it's brick.

I got ahold of customer service, thru the app and they went into my drone and remote and did some stuff while I was on the phone with them and I haven’t had the problem since then. You can call them or, chat online, which is what I did. I prefer that method because, I’m not much of a conversationalist these days. I had a stroke a couple yrs back and my linguistic skills are, sub par. However, you can contact them either way right thru the DJI Fly App… Hope this helps you
If I done drone tweaks (if as I probably won’t)
I have a DJI mini 1 so I don’t think it works on that but if I get a mini 2 or mini 3 which would you recommend as I live in a area we’re I get bad signal (200-300meters)
Makes a huge difference doesn't it
@@GAVINHR yeah I’ll have to go back to the original app now I’ve tested it 😉🤭
What's the name of the app?
Thks info.
Hi Richie, basically you are right on all of your questions! I would suggest not updating it also
Great video Gavin . we are always looking for a better solid connection for our drones.
My box says 10km on my mini 2 if am only getting half or less isn't that a reason to send it back?
The perfect conditions with no interference is the get out clause for that one I'm afraid
@@GAVINHR Lol oh well that's me stumped 😂😂😂
Very much ! Sorry to give the bad news 😔
actually, the 10km is only valid for FCC areas. In the UK, you're getting 6km "in perfect conditions".
Correct ☺️

What's more interesting: There's a free FCC hack circling the web, that works with the Mini 2 and RC-N1. It also works with other RC-N1 controlled drones. I'm curious if it also works on the Mini 3 in combination with the RC-N1 controller?
Nevermind, I just got confirmed you can hack it the same way.
they have reduced the power that's why I will not order the mini 3
DJI MAKES CARE OF THE CUSTOMER
I'm afraid there will a large number of Mini 3 owners with the new controller that won't be able to use a modified app that gives them FCC power/range.
Yes that is the case
Keep the MINI2 and buy the battery harness that allows you to use the Mini3 47 minute battery with your Mini2 Just mount the battery on top of your Mini2.
Wouldn’t that make it less aerodynamic which will reduce efficiency and negate the benefits of the bigger battery.
Would anyone know you got this app at all. ? And would this really improve signal on my mini se in the uk
is this issue just on the mini 2? I've got the mini 2 for a specific use and now im unable to use it for this because of the connection issues. is the mini 3 pro also victim to this?

Does this interfere with return to home location or increase chance of flying off?
No none at all :)
That's very interesting Gavin and an extremely valid point. Thanks for that
My pleasure!
@@GAVINHR thanks Gavin. Do you use strobes or is that unaided at 200m? And have the BDF commented about the connection issue?
@@GAVINHR Wow! you have the eyes of an eagle.😄 Personally I can't see it after 100-150m.
Hi can you help a very frustrated newbie pls,I've recently bought a mini 2 and find it near impossible to pair up to start flying,
I've downloaded the latest dji fly app my controller and drone are both on but can't seem to get any where else.

Nothing will happen
Smart test not really illegal, and a good demo to the CAA that we should have ignored EASA on this issue - they don't recognise CAA qualifications, do what's homolegation about since we left the EU?
That was my point, I did feedback this to OFCOM and they seemed to take it on board, I have been approached by this developer on a couple of occasions but always declined but after now losing connection at such short distances I felt it was a good topic regards to safety, You are right though we are no longer part of EU so maybe that can be looked at
How can I tell if the drone is operating FCC? I am in New Zealand and not sure if I would be affected by this power decrease problem.
The 1KM mark should be above the line in transmission menu.. In CE the 1KM mark is same height as the line.
Exactly as has been said 😄
I need help. Please someone let me know how to fix this problem
But I’m prob wrong, gav?
@@GAVINHR Thank you
In FCC my drone 4km. 400m is bad :(
HOLD UP, I'm experiencing the recent signal and disconnect drop outs (never had this problem when first got drone, plus I fly in rural area) But I'm in USA, how does this explain my drone flight quality degradation? Am I not receiving the FCC signal?
You will still be seeing it yes and you will be running in FCC mode it is just that because you have a greater signal to begin with it somewhat masks the disaster we are getting here over in Europe however the drop in signal strength after the last update is noticeable worldwide
So, if I travel from FCC region to CE region, do limitations automatically apply 🤔 ?
Yep that would be correct

No that was just the same sadly

Silly question, but as it uses more power to transmit, does it have a measurable effect on flight duration?
