I was at this race and I remembered how freaking hot it was at that race. Even when we’re at the far back area, it was still very hot
This was my first nascar race in person, and now I can't wait to go to the next one!
Thinking about going in April, how was it? Were there things to do outside watching the race like vendors and stuff?
@@Silentt141 It was great! Lots of vendors and stuff to do and buy in the fan zone. The drivers were doing lots of interviews and signing events. They had armadillo races, several dirt races at the lil' Texas Motor Speedway next to the track, a concert, and even some luchador fights. As for the race, TV definitely doesn't do it justice.
The fans out there are passionate and very friendly. We were seated by a bunch of Hendrick fans and their reactions when Larson crashed and when Byron passed Wallace after that was wild. I think those last few restarts took some years off some those people's lives that day. I've been to several football and basketball games and they got nothing on that crowd at Texas. My only real complaint was that during cautions they'd find pick someone out of the crowd and play a game with them on big hoss to win a shirt or souvenir and I'm like that's cool, but the games they'd play on the screen had the absolute worst CG I think id ever seen.
I'm definitely going back again in April.
I've not been the biggest K. Busch proponent, but damn, backing the car half way around the track at pace speed was freakin' impressive, given the level of restriction these guys are in the chair, spotter or no.
I've been going to the Texas for past few years since 2017, missing out on a few races lately but I came for this one. First time I watched in person the Cup series with the Next Gen cars and those engines are louder than the Gen 6 cars, which is awesome.
I did not think that this particular Texas race was going to be the hottest race EVER while I was watching from the grandstands at PL416, but I was happy to see more fans show up as it was crowded from my POV.
Glad to see the cars crush a little better in the back.
I bet theyre happy they never come to phx in the dead heat of summer
LETS GO!!! I’m so sad I didn’t go this year, 😭

Love the roar from the crowd when Byron passed Wallace
Victoria wina el Chevrolet
This is a pivotal moment for NASCAR's (still terrible) playoff system. If it's not Byron or Hamlin winning the championship at the end of this season, it's severely broken and needs to be reverted all the way back to the 2003 and prior points system.
I'm not gonna say you're wrong, it's a very valid argument, but when you're competing with the NFL and MLB playoffs for viewers, the current system needs to be in place. I wasn't around for the Winston format, but I imagine if a driver clinches the championship with a few races left, it deflates all the excitement for the last few meaningless races. This format is more entertaining to the fans, but the Winston style system is a lot more fair to the drivers.
I don't hate the playoff and the win and in system, or the win and advance part, but the biggest issue is the one race championship. I say try to split the difference and make it a 3 race final round
@sw120 keep the playoffs, but make it the last 10 races with NO eliminations or rounds! Just 10 races with stage points. This would create NATURAL drama. Nascar is trying to create drama and it just doesn't work. I would make it 12 drivers with 10 races to decide the championship if we keep the playoffs.
Empty seats say a lot. Are they listening?
