    I really like how you click between the settings so fast that we can't hear the difference. 👍🏻

    Thank you for these very helpful reviews on famous emulation plugins. It's great to see and hear how they are used as well as the historical background about them. I went ahead and bought this one during the Buy 1 Get 10 promotion, lol. Keep up the great work!

      cool! what other 10 did you choose out of interest?

    • @bigsl5604
      @bigsl5604 6 лет назад

      1. Full Meter
      2. EQ PA
      3. EQ 73
      4. Brit Channel
      5. White Channel
      6. Bus Compressor
      7. Precision Comp/Limiter
      8. Black 76 Limiting Amp
      9. EQP-1A Vintage Tube Program EQ
      10. One
      I bought the Full Meter for 124.99euros so that covers the 99.99euros minimum for elegibility for the upgrade to the T-Racks 5 Max if I choose at a later time.

    Pure genius! Subscribed!
    I feel like the Waves REQ is similar to the G mode; it dips when you boost the high shelf.

    Love and very much appreciate your thorough explanations and keen insight to the electronic personalities of these new plugins but I have to agree with whenslycalls, you've got to slow down on your A-B comparisons. Were not as familiar nor as experienced as you with the different sounds so what you can pick out in a second, we need at least a half measure to feel. This would make you the most valuable guy on RUclips. Thanks so much for your information. I'm subscribing in good faith. HA!

    Strange that E channel is the more smooth here as G is the smoother on the black SSL plugin. And why is the button named B as in Black Knobs? Confusing.

    Wonder if there's much of difference between T-Racks, Waves & UAD SSL emulations? Probably not

    • @dancetech
      @dancetech  6 лет назад

      yeah such comparisons abound on youtube, and potential purchasers & owners will argue a lot about that.

    • @ytnsanw

      I would say this much. The UAD stuff is very expensive (299.00 US and requires its own DSP), and neither Waves nor UAD do a 9000 series emulation - they are both 4000 series - so the better comparison would be the SoftTube Solid State Logic XL 9000 plugin - also 299.00. T-Racks White Channel for me...

      @@ytnsanw then what's the difference between white and black channel ?

    • @ytnsanw
      @ytnsanw 3 года назад

      @@Renaxelo If you mean the White Channel and the British Channel (which has a black face), White is though to be an emulation of the SSL 9000K console and British the SSL 4000E console, although as the video states, it's actually an emulation of a module.

    I was going to buy the console 1 9000 expansion.. then the t rack max went on sale... so I bought it. Because honestly.. evem the fairchild 670 sounded the same as uad go a really close degree..
    So are you saying this compares to the softube 9000? Because I was blown away by that... I might still buy it. The drive sold it for me..
    But you say its not nessessry? Is it the same???? Kindly help me

    • @dancetech
      @dancetech  5 лет назад +3

      They are both pretty much the same because both are modelled on the hardware. if you like using the console 1 hardware "hands on" then get the Softube one, and it is very very good, otherwise the IK one is also great & some people might find it easier to use because it's all mouse controlled & you get the easy to understand graphics etc.

    Came across this video shopping for a SSL 9000k or j emulation.
    The others by brainworks and Softube cost $300 or more.
    Got ik version in a bundle for free.
    Ik should update this one to work using less cpu and a nicer GUI.
    Its an old emulation.

      You´re so fast in clicking on and off, that there´s no chance to hear the difference!

    You seem to really crank the input on this, and the Black Channel as well. You said the IK Multimedia versions are almost exact as Console 1. Do you crank up the Console 1 input the same as this White Channel? Or is that just for the Tracks versions. Any feedback on this subject would be great, thanks!

    part from saturation in some eq plugins there is no real difference. Shape of the curves is the diff.
