I remember when I first watched this movie. I legit had to pause for a good 30min bc I was sobbing like a family member died. Idk, it just hit me so badly in the feels, and even though Stoic dies in this movie (and in the worst way possible, killed by Toothless!), it's still the best movie of the trilogy to me. Growing up with the characters and the franchise was a priceless experience. Genuinely one of the best animations ever made.

I've commented this on who-knows how many HTTYD-related videos already, but what breaks me about Stoick's Ship, besides the beautiful score and voice work, is the fact that Eret, Son Of Eret shot an arrow with the others, respecting a chief that was never his.
While Drago does want to become unstoppable and take over the world, it’s important to understand that that’s not his entire motivation. His desire to dominate dragons is motivated by revenge for dragons slaughtering his family, burning his village and tearing off his arm when he was a boy. He wants to make all dragons live in fear of him, just as he once lived in fear of them. So while Drago certainly took it too far, his motivation for wanting to overcome and dominate dragons is at least an *_understandable_* one.
when i was younger, i didn't cry when Stoick died because as a child, i didn't really understand the impact of death. but NOW THOUGH, I bawl every time i watch that scene :"D
Please watch the series too, makes you understand many things that happened in the big time skip and explores the other vikings and their dragons better.

They’ve made tv shows and specials that take place in between the films. One of the specials Hiccup built a wing for Toothless to fly on his own.
