Alex builds a massive garage thinking "Oh that'll be plenty of room". Fills it up---not enough room.
We knew that would happen
Well, he does have a looooong driveway with plenty of yard space. Im sure Melissa would love more construction projects on the property. cough cough
he built an additional haul room/garage too :D
I'm sure that Melissa would gladly welcome all that mess again 🤪🤣😒@@bryanpinto4051
I am shocked you’re running out of room in the garage. Shocked I tell you! 😂
My goodness your reach and variety are insane!. I am a born/raised Edmontonian living on Vancouver Island for the past 35 years an drive Long-Haul across N. America for a living. I have watched many of your videos in Truck Stops, Rest Areas and Shipper/Receivers and find your honesty, respect for all in your world, and of course your honesty a very welcome relief in these trying times. Stay the course, young man you are headed in the right direction in life!! Cheers from Sooke, B.C.
That’s so nice to hear!
Good morning! She’s so beautiful. I’m sorry you’re selling but it’s good for you. Love how you and Melissa feel about all things that are just stuff. I adore your family.
Told you the garage wasn't big enough ;) I admire you for realizing that for your self the fun is in the finding, and making room for the next fun find.
SELL THE TESLA. 😅 Not the Jag. 😢
Thats the thing about Dream Cars, once you own one and enjoy it, you can move on and have a new dream car. Good luck in the future and keep Dreaming Alex :)
That's the plan!
That thing's a beaut, especially considering it's a Jag. Someone is going to think they hit the Lottery. That said, no need to worry about the baby oil leaks; Jags tended to spend as much time in the shop as on the road! When I was a little kid, the XKE was my favorite Matchbox car. I just liked it for the Pretty without knowing what a pig it was in the snow and the repair record. (later on, by high school, I wanted an old-school Jeep!)
I love the Jag. I learned years ago not to get attached to any vehicle Alex has. I’m still recovering from the Airstream sale 😂 2018 I believe.
Haha
My favorite year of Jag. She's a beauty I wish I could afford to buy. The 94' XJS is also one of my Faves. Wish you didn't have to get rid of it. There aren't that many left.
It's a beautiful car. And so much documentation to go with it. Can't wait to see the special car that is replacing her!
I love your attitude towards things. Dreams change, goals change and you appreciate your possessions until it's time to move on.
Totally.
I hate to see the Jag leave but it's understandable. You really love the challenge of restoring neglected gems. Good for you, Alexander.
My brain is screaming No not the Jag 😮😅. Wow 5 years have just gone by so fast!
May this beautiful beautiful car find another loving owner. ❤️
XKE is the car on my bucket list. Outstanding daily driver! Hope new owner loves it 😢 I so want it!
Hi Alex & good afternoon from SE Louisiana. She is a gorgeous car! I absolutely love the color & gosh how I wish I could afford to get it. You did a fabulous job describing everything about her. I would be surprised if someone needed more information. Sorry Steven won’t be able to get it for himself. God bless you , Melissa & the kids. Y’all are doing such a great job showing the kids that material items are just stuff. That the most important things in life are family & friends. Wishing you all a wonderful day.🙏🇺🇸
I’m interested in this Beauty … it’s always been my favourite car my entire life and my favourite colour 😁
I knew from the beginning that the garage was not big enough and would fill up fast lol. Good luck selling the Jag it is a nice looking car
She wont last long big guy. She is a beauty. I have an 80 Corvette and WOULD NEVER take her out in the snow. You are a risk taking chap.
Well I don’t normally drive it in the snow but had to do the video for the auction
It's amazing how quickly a "big new" garage can fill up!
Oh gosh that is so beautiful! A lot like Harold’s. Pre hearse conversion. 👏
Beautiful car!!
Someone is getting a bargain for sure❤️💚👍🇬🇧
Alex, Awesome car. It will be sad to see it go. Looking forward to seeing what's replacing it. 😊
If you haven't already done so, take pictures of it yourself with the car. It's a beauty.
Whenever I got a new vehicle I’d go pick up the Haynes manual for it. Love them.
She's always been my favourite Alex~ It's bittersweet to let her go but let your dreams continue friend❣Joan
My dream car since I was a kid
Awesome work
good luck with the sale
Not surprised. You buy. You sell. You live.
I'm always surprised when people are judgemental about other peoples' lives, but I guess that comes with the territory when you live an open life. All things considered, when it's over you can't take it with you.
Brave decision. I don't think I could have parted with such a beautiful car. I cried like a child when I had to sell Kitty, my 1999 Ford Cougar 😄
I get way too attached to vehicles.
My favorite car! Actually got to ride in one!
Love it!
The other evening I watched a fancy car auction for rich folks. A car just like yours sold for $650,000. I hope a rich collector sees this video.
It’s not worth that much by a long shot
Anything is worth the amount that someone is willing to pay for it.....at least it is worth it to them!
Somebody call somebody rich !!!
Great looking car, i hope it sells quickly!
For sure
I hope so too!
To everything there is a season. You've cherished and enjoyed the Jag. Time to move on. Do you have any other life size redline hot wheels cars? Time for the Archbold Collection to evolve. Thanks for the last ride. 😢😎
Good luck with the sale😊
BUMMER ,SUCH A RARE BEAUTY!!!
You can have too many cars? News to me! 😊 Good luck on your sale.
Wow! Alex, I didn't know the Jag was a redline!
Full scale :)
OMG I owned 2 of them over the years (60s and 70’s) I will always love them!! I sold them 20 years ago, boo, hoo. Never got over selling them…
Holy sugar! Driving in snow!
Thanks Alex! I think you will surely get top dollar for it!
Fingers crossed!
Thanks for another , Brother !
Bought my first coupe in 1977. Next one drophead a series 1 1/2 1969 bought for 2500 English pounds in 1981 I loved that car same color as yours. Sold it in great condition in 2000 for 85000 pounds. Bought a milliner park ward drophead for 18000 and hated it. Bought a 308 gtb great traded it for a 911 1987. Still trading. Had mgc straight 6 awesome car. No folding hood, had to build it to put it up! Got fed up with that ! Now living in Barbados....I drive a mini moke.
Mini Moke on an island? Sure you aren’t trapped in a secret agents prison? ;)
@@CuriosityIncorporated well Barbados is only 22 x 18 miles. So super cars and high end not needed. I think your dream is for a 1961 e_type drophead. Just be sure it has disc brakes. It is the ultimate of British sports cars.
Absolutely beautiful car
Alex is teaching his kids the art of enjoyment and investment.
What a teaser!! Looking forward to seeing the "special" car!! I'll bet there have been a few guesses in the comments already but my guess is something that'll go with your hairstyle 😀💜
Nice car
my grandpa had a sillver convertible 1966 XKE Jag
I LOVE this car. It's my dream car
nice Jag !
Great video
Beautiful car
So pretty
My favorite car of all.
I can’t believe it’s been that long since you got that car!
The listing says: The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 10k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. Strange statement. I suspect that it is 121,000 miles.
Alex, because it is a 2+2 with an AT, I get why you're letting this one go. Wouldn't be surprised to see a Mark 1 E Type two seater with a third pedal back in your garage someday. Perhaps fellow Canadian RUclipsr Richard Michael Owen can hook you up!
Thin things down... So you can build them back up again
I love this car sad to see her go....
Hi Alex new subscriber i am from the UK and this car is one of my favourites love the red line tyres looks like a grown up fast wheels 😀
Thanks for the sub!
Nothing is sacred ,every thing has a sale price !
My ❤ has a hair line crack .
It'll mend . 🙈
I feel bad For Alex. Some jerk was trying to scare people off from bidding on his car. He was somewhat successful, too. I think it at least deserved $40K.
It was definitely a challenging sale
A sad day to see it go! 😢❤
Hi alex if you something that works wonders on faded and pitted crome there always use autosol chrome polish it great stuff i used it for years on all my chrome even bad pitted one whichs cleans them very well so that would be your best bet if you need something .a tube last for ages i recommend it

Noice!!😮
😊
Sorry you’re selling the jag. I always loved that one in your collection.
Beautiful car. , we had an 91 Jag a few years ago and loved driving it. Is this going to auction? What do you hope to get for it. Love the colour.
Alex...do not take it to "Bring a Trailer"! I'm going to do you a huge favor and take this car off your hands just cause I'm a nice guy. I'll give you a cool $3000 so it's a good deal for both of us. (Why are you laughing at me?) It was worth a shot. I think I'd cry if I had to let this go.😢
Well. The Jaguar sold. Congrads. Was $35,000 a fair price? Happy?
Jack bag would be a funny insult
Sad day😮
When do you put in the other lift? I missed that one.
don't think he filmed it
I want one of those so badly but I’m a teen and broke and can’t wait for a job but I can’t because of insurance won’t allow it
Beautiful
I was a teen who wanted a car like this once, stay focussed, work hard and it can happen :)
@@CuriosityIncorporated thanks
2+2 with automatic and series 2 exhaust bullets. Beautiful but least desirable of all E-Types. Were you able to sell it and did you get the asking price?
I wonder what the insurance cost is for so many cars. 🤔 I can barely afford coverage for 2!
It's only at $12500.
You better get seventy 52 a hundred grand for that sucker
😢
Why didn’t you just rebuild the original transmission?
Oh NO, My favorite car of yours. 😢
Nice car to bad those X.K. E.'s don't bring a lot of money
Well, I can't buy it because in Virginia we have to have a tag on the front. (Also, I can't afford it)
I know this video is two months old, so not likely to see this comment, but you bought it 6 years ago? I thought you bought it closer to two years ago.
I just notice that you have a 2cd lift,,, When did that happened?
A couple months ago, needed the space
Automatic?!
😭
I love the car but i wouldnt sell it.
Wonder what it sold for?
Sorry I just googleď the bidding and questions on bring a trailer
Ends Feb 14
Alex, instead of selling your most loved Jag, why not sell other cars that doesn’t own as much as your heart?
How do you know it's a 66 if it was titled as a 68?
Probably different details on the car between the 2 years and possibly the vin or builders tag gives the true year of construction.
I got the heritage certificate from jag. Built Aug 1966 plus it is a sealed glass head light model which would denote a series 1, where a 1968 wouldn’t have that
LOL it looks like a catfish
I'm baffled why would you sell your dream car.
I think people who have been watching you a while. Have seen how picky you are. As far as things being clean and having the right car parts. If you want a car to be pure. You have to have all the right parts as far as the year, like 73 or whatever the year of the car is.
Bad time too sell, no ones got money for toys at the moment, and auction prices reflect it, some bargains out there.
Someone always has money
