    One trick I learned in another recipe, if you want to eliminate the strings associated with sweet potatoes use the stand mixer and wisk attachment. Occasionally stop and rinse off the wisk. Most of All the strings will be on the wisk. Run under cold water and repeat until wisk are almost string free.

    • @dferrell8876
      @dferrell8876 Год назад +19

      Or you can puree the sweet potatoes. Pureeing definitely gets rid of the strings. Food processor or blender works.

    • @philasupv
      @philasupv Год назад +27

      Another way to limit the stings is to bake the potatoes.

    This does look really good, and I think I will try it. One thing I would do is to add the butter, buttermilk, and the sugars to the sweet potatoes and mix it up a bit BEFORE adding the eggs. This would cool down the potatoes so you don't have to worry about the eggs turning into scrambled eggs. Also, I think it would have been helpful to some of your viewers to show what the toothpick test looks like, both when the bread is still undercooked and when it is fully cooked. Thanks for showing this!

    I had fun making this today. I don't have that mixer you have so I just swissed the liquors with the dry batter in the bowl until it was thick. Great recipe and didn't take long to prep.

    Thanks for sharing! I cannot wait to try. I find that adding the dry ingredients to the wet prevents pockets| of unmixed dry in the bottom of the bowl.
