Tari Khan is a tabla accompanist. Zakir is a GOD of Tabla. Pls do not compare both of them. Zakir has made Tabla from a percussion to an Instrument. The quality of sound, speed, clarity of each sound even at super fast speed which is I think humanly impossible based on my 25 years of Classical tabla experience.Above all his intuitive and improvised tabla playing reminds me there is really some traces of Heaven.So He is UNCOMPARABLE
Also Soumen-ji, most of the tabla players follow the style created by Ustad ji. If you clearly notice the peshkars played nowadays, baring the benaras gharana payers almost everybody rips it off from Ustad-ji. Aesthetically nobody can match Ustad Zakir Hussain. In a recent concert in Delhi with Shujaat Khan, Zakir-ji clearly played a couple of passages (short vistars) of Raag Jhinjhoti on his banyan. I challenge anybody else who can do that with that level of aesthetics.
All tabla players, indian, american, european, african, mexican, chinese, japanese etc who take playing to this level are masters. At this level there is no BEST player. Sound, which was before us and will be after us, is to be thanked. Whenever you reach this you move into cosmic sound. Its a force just like gravity. We don't compare who has the best gravity do we? That's why we have two ear holes and one mouth hole. More listening and less talking
He’s really something, real master in playing tabla. It might sound strange, but I should said that my cockatiel singing and moving his body very quickly, and when it’s over he shouts and want me to play it again!
@utsavmohanlakhera Why do you say he's better? Yes, Ustad Zakir Hussain has more experience perhaps, but keep in mind, his father was the Great Ustad Allah Rakha. Ustad Tari Khan practically taught himself Tabla before Ustad Miyan Shaukat Hussain Khan Saheb asked HIM to be his shagird. Both Ustads deserve the same amount of respect. Don't compare!
My God! This is the youngest footage of Zakir I have seen!! I wonder how old he is! At first, it did not look like him, but when you hear him speak, you know for sure its the one and only Zakir!

@@Prof_Hazra_IIT I think no one can beat Pt Anindo Chatterjee in Tabla playing. At this age Anindo ji was a phenomenon.
