I use Reaper for a ton of midi automation of external equipment - sending various PC and CC commands. Would you be able to suggest (or create!) a video that may be geared more towards this kind of midi usage in Reaper? This sort of view is great for midi notes, but when working with CC/PC; it doesn't really help much. I end up using the inline editor and making the specific cc/pc command visible and dragging it around as necessary; but it's very messy and having the right view where all midi items are visible is tricky. There has to be an easier way.
Thanks Kenny! I wish you could roll the mouse wheel forward so that the piano roll window moves up. Instead, you must hover over the piano keyboard on the left. Same with the TCP. You have to hover over the TCP area to scroll up.
All you have to do is assign the View: Scroll vertically (MIDI relative/mousewheel) to the mousewheel (in the MIDI Editor context). For this to work, the MIDI Editor window must be in focus.
I LOVE Reaper, I do a lot of Midi editing, but it seems like there is a Bug. In the Actions list, in the MIDI Editor context, in the "Edit: Unselect all" action, I have the keyboard shortcut assigned to "Cmd+Shift+A". It doesn't work. BUT if I hit "Run" from the actions list ... then it does work. What 'da? It seems to be broken. All I want to do is hit "Cmd+Shift+ A" and move on to the next 4-bars.
I personally wouldn't mind hours long tutorials instead of multiple short videos, as long as its timestamped. Thanks regardless😊
Did not realize you could scrub like that in the editor.

I don't think you do.
@@REAPERMania Thanks, Kenny. Are you saying that custom mouse actions can be assigned to deal with this?

@@Tokolele Great, thanks 👍. I love the Reaper program. It was worth every penny.
Kenny, I'm usually selecting all notes and then deselecting a bunch of them. How can I do that with a marquee behavior instead of click?
RBM+drag to select, Ctrl/Cmd + RMB+drag to deselect

Is something else also assigned to that key combination? Just thinking out loud.
Is the MIDI Editor window in focus?
@@Zzibbubbyyes, the MIDI editor must be in focus, else the shortcut will trigger the default context action.
if there's a bug in your opinion, it must be reported on the forum
but in this particular case i don't thing there's any
@@Zzibbubby Yes, it's while i'm editing in it, just wanting to move to the next 4 bars with nothing selected behind it.
