If you hate the questline for the staff as much as I do, just go with the albinaurics staff from the Vulcano Manor. S- Arcane scaling and does the same bleed buff as the staff from this guide.
@@mrmarcusshelton94 I hate the finger boss. I died to it more than 50 times. This was before I knew about the thorns spell. After I got the spell, I summoned my mimic, and the fight was over in 10-15 seconds after I launched the first thorns spell😂. But without the thorns spell, I don't think I could have received the maternal staff ever
White Mask is still better. 6% more Damage is not better then 10% more Attack. (When you keep in mind the Physical Damage also scales with Attack that's why) But you run the rest of the Armor yes.

I love looking at these kinds of builds and realize how bad they feel bringing into the last base game fights. Radabeast being immune to status invalidates so many fun cool builds to try
Great video! My only note is I’d say it’s worth putting 3 more points in dexterity so you can use rivers of blood on any lower tier enemies you run across. That way you aren’t wasting fp and hp on trash mobs.

Personally I changed out the maternal staff for the albinauric staff as it scales with arcane and is an S rank, slightly more damage output but the maternal looks so much nicer, this build absolutely shreds through the game, cheers brother
As the others have said, it’s slightly better to have the white mask but you can certainly run the rest of the set except for the hat to get the extra damage with the other parts :)
Instead of Radagons icon I believe Beloved Stardust would be better which you can obtain from doing the quest you need in order to obtain the maternal staff
I think nerfing is cheating, and an admission of failure. People should be able to play the way they want to play. They have an entire team of specialists, they shouldn't be able to change the rules after purchase all the time just because people find powerful builds.
Nah, if something is clearly overpowered it needs to be balanced out. If this game was only PvE, I'd agree with you, but for competitive play there can't be any one build or weapon that is THAT much better than the rest.
At 80/80 int/arc maternal staff is crazy powerful with a sorcery scaling of 416, Im loving this staff for my main wretch as I'm also using the finger spells which are insane as well.
@@championplays214 because I wanted radagons icon instead and I wanted this to be a bit safer in the DLC - basically if you run that, with HoS, if you don’t have full scadutree blessing (or at least like lvl10) you’ll get 1 or two shot by everything - but ofc feel free to run that if you want :)
The gameplay is only at level 150 but there are 2 A scalings. You could do way more damage at higher levels too unlike single scaling weapons. Scary stuff.
The Albinauric staff is actually better than the maternal staff because it has higher arcane scaling whereas the maternal is 50/50 split between int and arcane. You can also get it earlier
I feel dirty. I kept dieing to the DLC Final Boss so I kept changing my build, and was almost out of Larval Tears. I switched to this build, and even without the Madness talisman I beat the DLC Final Boss in less than 20 tries after switching. Then I felt really dirty when I used this build on Melinia, who I kept alive, and beat her in four tries. Thank you!

@tkcjazza you don't have to use words like stupidly overpowered or the most completely broken build. I mean why even make the video in the first place if you know it will get nerfed? I mean why should the player waste their time with the build when a hotfix is coming fast. That's my point

Much like how the bloodfiends arm was “nerfed/fixed” it basically made no difference because of the bleed proc - I highly doubt this will get nerfed and if it does it’ll be the amount bleed proc but all that will mean is that you may need to do an extra cast to do the same damage :)
After two days trying with the final dlc boss, I learned his moves by heart especially the first phase but the second although he uses the same the AOE gets me all the time. I am moving countries, and I want it to be over with. Thank you, going to that dastard
Whilst gaining madness I wear the black dumpling helmet then switch to the White Mask as the buff that the black dumpling has carries over then i use a weapon with seppuku and trigger that for even more damage then switch to the staff. I also use the Rakshasa armour which helps but harder to get.
Use Raksashas armor w/ white mask. Raksashas armor gives you more damage per piece worn but also less damage negation. Also, if you’re using aged ones exultation, after applying madness change off to magic scorpion charm for more damage
I try and make the builds as simple as possible but yeah if you want to hot switch equipment for the utmost damage, then of course switch those out - if anything you can also have black dumpling helm on when you proc madness too and swap that for the white mask after :)
Appreciate the build Jazza! For a new character, any recommendations on what to run up until you're strong enough to obtain all the necessary gear? Would love to give this a try, but will need to survive the trip xD
@@tenglishjr I’m a larval tear merchant so typically swap from one OP build to another 😂 - the stat spread isn’t really ideal for anything else unless unless you’re running something like an arcane based venomous fang build - so I would just say, run another build using a different weapon that you like, then grab a larval tear and respec into this when you grab the stuff - bloodfiends arm will destroy everything until you get this :)
You could use the magic scorpion charm for another 12 percent damage instead of the radagon one that shortens cast time plus the new tear that gives you another 20 percent damage but takes away health and then there’s a new consumable that when bleed procs it gives you another 28 percent damage so the amount of buffs you can get is insane in new game 7 and I’ve seen people hit consort radahn with 25k damage with one cast of the thorns meanwhile I’m just trying to make sure he had destined death by using the black knife and using night comet I do really good damage to 3-4K per uncharged night comet but I can’t compete with the guys using all the buffs and the new thorn sorcery especially when you bleed it does a flat 20 percent damage and radahn in new game 7 has to have well over 100k health I still haven’t beat him but I’m only scadu level 13 so I need to go get some more and then I’m sure I’ll be able to beat him easily
Love this setup, as you really dont need any int for it, I use it on my blood/poison/rot priest with 80 arcane and the albinauric staff. Will put more into intelligence as I progress, wont level cap as I only play pvp.

Thanks for the video mate ! I wish they would look into bringing other weapons and build up to par instead of nerfing strong ones. Watching all the shield and thrust kills says a lot about the Radahn fight. Otherwise the extremely overpowered ones that delete him are required there is no in between.
When you say you can’t seem to get it, do you mean you’re not doing anywhere near as much damage? If so, your distance from the boss/enemy does matter a lot - like even just a step forward/back can be a difference of like 1k damage and a full proc of bleed - just go to make sure all 3 trails hit the target and spear up through them :)
I think it’s just skill issue hehe! But no I think it’s just practice at this level, I get his health down to where his name is on the bar I am having fun with it.

I just did my new game plus 4. Run through and i two shot Radagon and i one shot Morton with clip proof and most bosses have been two three shot it’s the best build I’ve used and I have over 500 hours man it’s so fun,note you can be using rakasha armor with the white mask or alburniric armor for the damage boost and the blood sucking cracked tear im a level 400 tho so may not get the same results

Isn't albanauric staff just straight up better than maternal staff for this build? It gets S scaling in arcane which is the only stat that matters. We don't even level up int that much
Usually I don’t like playing like this but the final boss of dlc is not giving me a choice. I platinumed Elden Ring, beat the nameless king and beat slave knight gael honestly but this final boss is way too hard.
You can run any armour you like - The other parts of the armour didn't give me any buffs but the new Rakshasa set will and so too will the Alberich's set as that buffs thorn damage As for the armour I was wearing, it was the Carian Knight Armour :)

Not doing it on purpose - just as someone who makes builds around the best weapons/items in the game, I kinda have to cover what’s meta - good thing is, this is all about bleed damage so it can’t get nerfed all that much unless they reconfigure how the bleed mechanic works/give this a bleed build up of like 10
@@akitas8165 if my sole motivation was views, I would pump out videos like this on a daily basis and cut out the days of editing/getting the footage and make it as bare bones as possible - I get what you’re saying but those saying this will get nerfed need to remember this is bleed damage - all they can do is reduce bleed build up in which case it might take 2 casts to proc instead of 1 - bleed is percentage based damage so it’ll always be OP no matter the nerfs - take RoB for example, with the right build you can still beat any boss in like 2/3 uses of the ash of war :)

It does, but for those that are using this with the 200 stats, they’ll get the most out of the maternal staff - also, I don’t think you lose all that much damage/scaling either way with the maternal staff compared to the albunaric (don’t know off the top of my head the difference)
@@herohunter81 Yeah, I would make arcane 80, keep 33 faith for the buffs, add a little more vigor/mind and then pump the rest into INT - if you hit 80 INT and still have points left over, maybe put some into dex to cast the spell even faster :)
Yeah, as the others are saying the game increases in difficulty when you go into NG+ - the DLC is already hard at its base value so I advise doing the DLC before going into NG+
We started the DLC on ng+7, it’s our 9th playthrough. Most of the basic enemies hit hard but it is not unmanageable. Most of the bosses will do 70%+ damage per hit, if they don’t outright 1 shot you. The DLC definitely scales with your ng+ level, so make certain you have what items you need for your build before starting the DLC.

Not nerfed, just fixed. As you can see none of the notes say anything about nerf, they are just bug fixes.

good on your for avoiding spoilers. not many channels do so!
So im running the Alberichs full armor set. It strengthens thorn sorcery and it does so for every piece of armor. Just another tip!! 😊
And I always thought the trousers don't get you the buff. I also think the white mask is better for the head gear (if you have it).

yea lol, unfortunately things like bleed, poison, arcane builds get ignored by radabeast. I just changed my weapons to occult for more physical damage

They nerfed the blood build up on the albinauric despite the scaling, it's just not as good at causing status nowadays.

Jazza you can make it even more broken swap out white mask and get alberrich pointed hat also strengthens thorn sorcery
The white mask will buff his damage by 10% and the pointed hat by only 2. So white mask is definitely better

Finger sorceries are my favorite spell chategory in the DLC. Glinstone Nails and Fleeting Microcosom are awsome.
Fun fact the impenetrable thorns spell is also considered a thorn sorcery so rockin alberich's armor will also boost its damage

I just use endure antspur on my main hand with maternal staff on the other. Makes it way easier using close range. Rhadagon talisman is a must though

I just did my new game plus 4. Run through and i two shot Radagon and i one shot Morton with clip proof and most bosses have been two three shot it’s the best build I’ve used and I have over 500 hours man it’s so fun,note you can be using rakasha armor with the white mask or alburniric armor for the damage boost and the blood sucking cracked tear im a level 400 tho so may not get the same results

Yeah, they fixed the broken mechanic where it did multiple explosions if you threw it on the floor - But this is a pretty good replacement :)

Isn't albanauric staff just straight up better than maternal staff for this build? It gets S scaling in arcane which is the only stat that matters. We don't even level up int that much

Usually I don’t like playing like this but the final boss of dlc is not giving me a choice. I platinumed Elden Ring, beat the nameless king and beat slave knight gael honestly but this final boss is way too hard.
Even with the level 200 build and the best armor I can wear, damn I get destroyed if I get hit like twice with this build.

Iwish you had shown your armor layout, i know you said mainly just the hood but ya id like to have seen the whole thing.
You can run any armour you like - The other parts of the armour didn't give me any buffs but the new Rakshasa set will and so too will the Alberich's set as that buffs thorn damage
As for the armour I was wearing, it was the Carian Knight Armour :)

Jazza I get that you’re going for defence with your armour but the albirch set dose boost the damage of that spell
True - you will only get an extra 6% damage buff tho which is why I didn’t think it was worth it, but obs use it if you want to :)

I'm +200 so I went right to the 2nd stat suggestion. That one only has 30 faith, 33 is needed for the madness incant. Just a heads up.

Not doing it on purpose - just as someone who makes builds around the best weapons/items in the game, I kinda have to cover what’s meta - good thing is, this is all about bleed damage so it can’t get nerfed all that much unless they reconfigure how the bleed mechanic works/give this a bleed build up of like 10

@@akitas8165 if my sole motivation was views, I would pump out videos like this on a daily basis and cut out the days of editing/getting the footage and make it as bare bones as possible - I get what you’re saying but those saying this will get nerfed need to remember this is bleed damage - all they can do is reduce bleed build up in which case it might take 2 casts to proc instead of 1 - bleed is percentage based damage so it’ll always be OP no matter the nerfs - take RoB for example, with the right build you can still beat any boss in like 2/3 uses of the ash of war :)

The Albinauric Staff has S scaling in Arcane.
It does, but for those that are using this with the 200 stats, they’ll get the most out of the maternal staff - also, I don’t think you lose all that much damage/scaling either way with the maternal staff compared to the albunaric (don’t know off the top of my head the difference)

@@herohunter81 Yeah, I would make arcane 80, keep 33 faith for the buffs, add a little more vigor/mind and then pump the rest into INT - if you hit 80 INT and still have points left over, maybe put some into dex to cast the spell even faster :)

I had finished the main game. Would you suggest me playing NG+ then enter DLC or just playing DLC instead?
If you start NG+ the dlc will be much, much more difficult
I did DLC on PS5 from scratch at lvl 120 and XBOX NG9 lvl 380 xbox was still harder even with insane stats.
Yeah, as the others are saying the game increases in difficulty when you go into NG+ - the DLC is already hard at its base value so I advise doing the DLC before going into NG+
We started the DLC on ng+7, it’s our 9th playthrough. Most of the basic enemies hit hard but it is not unmanageable. Most of the bosses will do 70%+ damage per hit, if they don’t outright 1 shot you. The DLC definitely scales with your ng+ level, so make certain you have what items you need for your build before starting the DLC.

I'm using Beloved Stardust instead of Radagon Icon. Is that a good idea? Not sure if these blokes can hit me before they bleed out.
If you can pull of the attack and not get hit then you’re good, just with that & HoS active you’re taking an extra 60% damage from enemies :)

@@adriannieto96 doesn’t matter what seal you use - you can’t scale %based buffs - I believe it was seal of frenzied flame tho
