That's just the plot armor for Vanitas. Vanitas from KH3 was a weak ass boss, just like the rest of them.
@@fannjass1835 tbf, all of the members of the real Organization XIII members were nerfed during the main story because Nomura didn't think your average player would be able to beat them, especially when you're fighting several at once. His Data Org fight is supposed to be his "canon" strength, and Vantias is definitely one of the harder ones, and mind you over well over half of the Data Org fights in Re:Mind are some of the harder bonus bosses in the series.

So you're telling me that aqua can summon a huge barrier around her and vanitas but she can't summon a barrier to defend her self from a fireball
it’s the reaction time i guess, when you put yourself infront of someone to protect them from a fireball you don’t have enough time to think
Also barriers tend to require concentration to maintain and the slightest distraction can render it vulnerable.

Has anyone wondered why Vanitas' armor is just that suit and his Daft Punk helmet? He has armor...plot armor. He got his ass handed to him by Aqua three times, got his heart smashed by Ventus, and then got whaled on in the Land of Departure by Aqua for the fourth time, and yet his cutscene power let him beat Aqua for no reason.

This is the craziest plot twist ven is not even from their timeline he’s from kingdom hearts union x from the way beginning of ancient times. When your playing birth by sleep you see Xenionort carrying him in with the other master and aqua and terra are asked his name but he doesn’t remember where did he come from….something is up with ven in why he’s been here for soo long tho.

Vanitas is such an awesome bad guy, his theme song, reminds me so much of the Evil Queen’s theme, from once upon a time.

Gotta say tho, this fight with Vanitas was REALLY hard to beat in critical mode, what is funny is that Saïx fight was one of the easiest because roxas, seriously, all i did was glide away from him and let roxas do all the work

This is the most expressive Aqua performance Holland gives, and it's in service of making Aqua sound like she just realized Ven's above the age of consent.

Vanitas said this to Sora after their final battle: "I'm the piece of Ventus that was taken away. And you're the piece Ventus needed to be whole again. So... why shouldn't you and I look exactly the same? You define me Sora, the same way that Ventus does, we are brothers who, together, make a greater whole"
My guess is, at first Vanitas didn't have an actual face (at this regard, after the ending of Dark Road, I think it's also possible that "Vanitas" actually is one of the ancient original Darknesses who simply took a physical form, meaning he's not even Ven's own "darkness"), and that's until the just-born Sora's heart connected to Ven's and allowed him to exit his catatonic state, and that's when Vanitas started to have a face, which was covered by the helmet anyways, so no one noticed

@Regulus but in BBS all I remember was Ventus at Destiny Islands and another hooded figure. Didn’t show Ven talking to anyone or doing anything there. And also was this before or after Xehanort extracted Vanitas? Cuz Xehanort ended up bringing Ventus to the Land of Departure? So did Xehanort leave him at Destiny Islands… then just come back to get him, then drop him off at Land of Departure? Why would he do that? This is why people say KH is confusing, so many vague and muddy details and the timeline doesn’t make sense.
@@BlackWolf207 Iirc, Xenohart left Ventus to die at Destiny Islands(since his Heart is screwed up due to Vanitas being extracted from him) but after seeing he miraculously recovered, he decided to drop Ventus off at LoD since he basically went "Wait, I can I still use him. Awesome"

I just realized something, did Sora ever question why does Ven look and sound like Roxas? I completely forgot, I platinumed this right on the day of KHIV release but the grindage made me forget.
No actually NO ONE DOES like but sora questions why vanitus looks like him and Roxas and Ventus do meet they're just like hey to each other

The DLC has Roxas and Ven exchange a few words while fighting the Xehanort clones. Not much, but they get along just fine with the weirdness.
to be fair, at that point, sora knew ventus was in his heart. and since roxas is a nobody, it'd make sense that the nobody would take inspiration from all hearts within someone. memories of sora, appearance of ven. so it does sorta make sense that sora wasn't surprised, roxas is technically both sora AND ventus's nobody i guess.
In a world with 13 Xehanorts 2 Ventus and 2 Sora isn't that surprising.
This was probably the single most underwhelming scene in all of kingdom hearts. All this build-up through multiple games, this should have had every single one of us in tears. Instead, it's basically "Oh, now we saved ventus, neat. Moving on." It felt like we recruited a total stranger.

Roxas was made in the similarity of Ventus (as explained in a cutscene I think), because that was the only visual reference Sora's heart could make or something (but the lore is confusing duh and technicalities... im going to google the specific reason of why Roxas looks like ventus. As Ventus is a real person, and Roxas is a nobody)

I am pretty sure Yen Sid talks about it in KH3 why Roxas looks like Ventus / even Nomura made an explanation I cant find the info though about that.
This was such a disappointing cutscene. I really wanted more pay off with the whole "Ven has been in Sora's heart this whole time" thing

Yeah…They didn’t do good with Kairi’s character. As for Aqua, I’m just assuming it’s because, she insisted to keep going even though she hadn’t fully recovered. Plus, she had lost her keyblade and have been lonely and hopeless for so long, she kinda lost the grip of things.
Aqua is just as arrogant as she was in birth by sleep. And people say she’s the better character.
Bro aqua is so buff in kh3 that half of the cast is weaker that her.

Actually, Ventus was just realizing that Sora looks like Vanitas!
Vanitas is the part of darkness that got remove from Ven's heart by Xeanorth (Also the guy that wear a mask at 0:43). After that, Ven was in a comatose state and was brought to destiny island. Sora, who was only a little child at the time, unconsiously created a bond with Ven's heart saving him in the process causing Vanitas to have Sora's apperence...
