I like how at the beginning Blitzo stalking Moxxie and Millie is just a running gag about coworkers not respecting your privacy but evolves into this deep narrative about Blitzos own desire for a healthy loving relationship like they have.

@@friendlyneighborhoodinquis1682 it seems more related to his mom. As a root problem. Then look at him and Fizzarolli. Fizzarolli left him behind as he became more popular. I don't doubt that he was the one who carved out acts for Blitzo here and there but the resentment between them grew so bad that Fizz just left him behind and that left Blitzo feeling deeply betrayed.....even though it was his own resentment at Fizzarolli that dissolved their relationship. I think this goes back to episode 6 and how his hallucination of Fizzarolli threw him into the mud, how he interprets being left behind as his childhood friend turned lover gained success and abandoned him. Then a rebound with a popular pop singer in Verosika, but he never really liked her. His face in the picture seems like it is meant for someone else. He doesn't look cool, he looks bitter and venomous. He was just using her, her body to try and forget Fizzarolli and her status to hit back at his ex. Blitzo has an awful history that he pretty much made himself. And he fucking knows it. But what we don't know or get or understand is his relationship with his mom and how that started everything. Except...maybe....just a thought. His mom looks really sad. Her children are all smiles and happy but she looks...depressed. And it just crossed my mind writing this. But what if his mom killed herself...

Its like Blitzø is trying to learn more about Millie and Moxxie’s relationship so he can be a better person in relationships in the future. I’ve never had liked Blitz back in the other episodes and only liked Loona and Millie because of how badass and cool they were. But this episode made Blitzø my favourite comfort character.

I was hating Blitz for hurting stolas the whole chapter, but the final scene completely got me, Blitz is hurt and his own insecurity is also hurting Stolas :(
Painnnnnn. We finally get to see how stolas actually feels about blitz. How fast he went from being sad/lonely to excited when blitzy called. And when he got so dressed up and mentioned that this was their first real date 💔💔💔 poor blitz who is so scared of pursuing a real relationship with stolas in fear of his past repeating itself

Blitz also has a photo album with only the happiest memories he has (like Loona's adoption for example) - the fact that a night with Stolas is in the same album just proves that he truly does feel happy with him, just doesn't think he can do anything about it to not ruin it all again. Very sad detail :(

When Blitzø asked Stolas about how fast he could get down to Lust, I was half expecting the camera to pan just a bit to the side to reveal Stolas standing right next to him, a trail of flames behind him.
The way Blitzo hurt himself by watching Millie and Moxie is painfully relatable. He wanted to be a part of their loving and healthy relationship, but ended up reminding himself how shitty his love life is.
the blitzo fear isnt a thing of the helluva boss, its real and i found comments down below talking about it and persons who have the fear of love, like me, i got this "cycle of sollitude" for a long time, i had the problem of feeling love for real, but never come past my limits, i couldnt find a way to create real relationships without acting like a toy or a tool willing to be used (just like blitzo), but it took a time for me to realize that there is nothing wrong in feeling love, a lot of people cared about me and i've pushed then away like blitzo, breaking their hearts, i've knew i was more than the "empty shell" i created, i moved on those feelings and after 7 years of struggle, made 3 freinds which are the best companies i have now, they really understand me and care about me and when it comes to me care about then, i do it, i don't act like a puppet willing to be used by its masters, we all love helluva boss and have been watching it from the beggining. When this episode went on, we all made a discord call to react it and when i saw the ending, blitzo crying and all, i got discrontolled and went on for the crying, hugged alongside my pillow like blitzo, cause he was my favorite character and seing him at this point of life broke me and i strugled to change my way of life, it felt ironic, after a time my freinds told me that if i changed, blitzo would change too, after all this time i keep holding the feeling that blitzo can be more and he''ll find a way to live on just like me, he became a silhoutte of a me that existed for a long time.

He actually calls him that the whole time they're at the club, but blitzø doesn't pay attention to stolas being respectful to him which was why stolas appeared nervous at the start, and even then he still tried to keep a conversation going until the fiasco happened. I love that they’ve been showing that Stolas actually loves Blitzø and isn’t just using him for sex. It’s actually getting painful to watch him trying to enjoy the date yet continuously get ignored and pushed off by the man he loves.

However, do you remember Millie calling him "his boyfriend"? Stolas cheering for him at the big event? Stolas proud of him when he won? Stolas' behaviour does include him using the book to get Blitz in his bed, but we cannot ignore the attempts to have something more. He divorced his wife, he was genuinely happy to go out on a date, he himself is a dork who don't know what to do for real. I can't see him as evil in his actions, toxic yes, but also inexperienced when it comes to relationships. The marriage with Stella was likely arranged, so has he ever had the chance to explore what he likes?

i just loved this episode. suprisingly moxxie was a bit of a weaker character in this one but i think that beacause this episode was focused less on comedy and thats where he shines
I remember thinking when I first saw it too. Stolas makes it pretty clear he's interested in something more than just physical, but Blitz either can't recognize it, or I think more likely, he's lying to himself because many people with strong insecurities often construct falsehoods in their mind to reinforce why they believe they're unloved. It hurts so hard recognizing it because you've lived it, its so real.

Anyone notice how Stolas didn't call Blitzo "Blitzy" when he left? It's always been his slightly patronizing pet name for him, but when he's leaving it might be the first time he doesn't use it.
Of course I noticed, and I hope Stolas doesn't call Blitzo "Blitzy" or use it as a way to address him next time. Stolas has been shown to not understand or know when to stop when the people around him do not enjoy his over-patronage. And this time, he stops calling Blitzo "Blitzy" because he knows his limits and wants to give Blitzo some space.
Can I point out how much I love that Blitz stood up for Moxxie, even if it was in a weird way. Blitz hid the moment he saw Fizz, not wanting to be seen. But when he got up to defend Moxxie it put all attention on him, making himself a target.
Blitz definitely views Moxxie and Millie highly. Likely because they have a relationship that he desires but can't properly process in a healthy manner because of past trauma.
It took like 20 minutes of scrolling, but I finally found someone who actually noticed. After trying his best not to be noticed the whole time, he got up and drew all attention to himself so they would stop making fun of Moxxie
First impression was that he'd be an annoying character that constantly harasses Blitz, but I'm so glad he's such a well written, lovable, and somewhat relatable character. 10/10 That's a mood, Gabriella.
As much as it hurts, I really like how Stolas handled that conversation in the car. Understanding when it's best to give a person space and let them work things out on their own is difficult, but a simple 'Okay' and a step back was the right thing to do. The realism in the way these characters act is what keeps me coming back to this show.

That's a good point! Maybe the reason he stalks those two all the time is because he can't believe that someone isn't using or abusing the other somehow, in some way. But they aren't, and he can't accept that.

The fact that he had hope that his feelings would be recuperated on the only for it to be used to spy on someone. Heck, at the entrance he didn't really care that someone would judge but as Verosika and Fizzaroli laid down how bad a lover he is, he was reconsidering if it was worth it to love him.

It's like I hate the guy for cheating on his wife and what that does to his daughter. However, he does love his daughter and Blitz. The whole thing is a complicated mess. F him for cheating on his wife, but I also feel bad for the lad. Well written show.

Like, its pretty clear by the "goodbye" part that Blitzo thought the price for spying was having emotionless sex. I don't think he genuinely thought Stolas wanted to talk, or have an actual "date."
I just noticed in Blitzø's house. His face is marked out on a lot of the photos which makes me believe he is self-conscious about himself or under values his life alone because he hasn't been able to find a healthy relationship like Moxxie and millie have which was the reason why he adopted Luna to possible try to share his love to her as a parent but she really doesn't take it granted a lot.
That's actually a key trait of Blitz that can be spotted in nearly every episode. I'm guessing something happened in his past that, probably around his parents, that left him incapable of understanding what a healthy relationship looks like. Which is why he keeps spying on Millie and Moxxie, cause their relationship is the kind he is striving for, but has no idea how to achieve. He has a pathological desire for family relations, and adopting Loona is, technically speaking, a symptom. Chances are Stolas will be his way towards the goal, but Blitz still sees himself as Stolas' plaything. I'm guessing there will at least be a couple of episodes where the two of em gradually figure out how they feel- Stolas realizing he actually deeply cares for Blitz, and Blitz figuring it out and managing a sort of relationship with him. I can already see Blitz asking Moxxie for advice, without trying to look like he's asking him for advice.

I like what Blitz had reestablished during the Osmodius song is his feeling of being used to satiate lust, while it looks like what Stolas took away was Moxie and Millies part of the song- actual compassionate love.
One beautiful detail: Blitz constantly wears -what appears to be- his mothers brooch. He wears it normally in every episode, but In this episode during the night out it's his belt buckle. That red skull means a lot to this imp.
That makes total sense, after watching this episode ending and seeing it on his mother in the photo of Blitz's mom, sister and him. I seen it. That just adds a little more heartbreak to Blitz's back story for what we know of it.

Did no one notice how when Stolas looked at Stella, his eyes were normal.. but when he saw Octavia his pupils showed. It’s great detail. Monarchy is weird, he wasn’t in love with a demon who speaks royalty, but still adores his daughter more than anything. He realized what love is, even though Blitz is an Imp. I see he still feels guilty for the affair, but I know it’s.. way more complicated than that.
God stolas always sounds so genuinely happy whenever he’s around blitz. His mood takes a complete 180 when blitz asks him out and his day is already so much better. To me, he’s always been portrayed as a power figure who does love blitz but still has this demeanor of “superiority” you could say. But this opening sequence and Stolas’s scrambling for the phone really humanize him for me and makes him feel less like a stiff character. This show is masterful in character portrayal. You don’t get art like this from corporations anymore
Stolas is wild. Like, he SHOULD have all the power in the dynamic, but he's a bottom, and Blitz can effortlessly devastate him by being a dick. Stolas is probably my favorite character though, just so humanized for being an elite among elites.
The really ironic thing is the fact that he definitely doesn’t like to be superior in bed. All jokes aside I agree you can tell he doesn’t just use blitz he genuinely likes him a lot

Is anyone gonna mention how Blitz's apartment is full of group photos where he scratched his own face out with black ink? he is definitely looking for connection but doesn't feel worthy of it. I love this character, he has so much interiority and I can't wait for the show to get deeper into his story.
the fact that the episode ended with stolas sitting outside by himself while every other main character is shown to be preoccupied and that striker wasnt shown in this episode is absolutely terrifying. i dont want the pretty bird guy to get shot immediately after getting his heart broken please
I mean, the show seems like it’s been foreshadowing Stolas’s death (or at least him getting seriously hurt), like in the song he sings to Octavia in Loo Loo Land As much as I don’t want Stolas to die I think it’d be really interesting if they went that route going forward, especially with how important of a character he is and how much it’d contribute to Blitzo’s character development

Yes!!! And it's so welcome. Stolas isn't the type to get mad about this. He legitimately cares for blitzo but just doesn't know how to show it all the time. They're both such broken people who don't always make the best decisions but they do really care

Man the ending when blitz was going through his pictures you can see of him with m&m going to verosika and fizz when they were kids too. his mom and his sister(or at least that's what I believe they are.) in one of the episodes verosika stated "your sister says hi" from when she was in rehab that kinda stuck on me and I've been expecting to see the sister soon. But that last picture that blitz saw that made him start crying.. that hit home. And holy hell... for a split second you see a little bit of blitz past that made him happy.. and now tears him apart.. freaking love this show!

@Eeeeeee stolas generally thought they were in love and is not the best at showing love. So until we know how blitzo feels about solace it open. It might off started as a lie and developed into more. Blitzo literally puts stolas on a pedestal of gold and a heart chair in his acid trip might be a crush. Also when fizz says "who are you to comment on a relationship" blitz was eyeing stolas. Blitzo might just think the relationship is purely physical for stolas or he is pushing him away. Solace calling the relationship a comfortable lie is him responding to blitzo said that it was just him wanting him to f*** him. Stolas thought the relationship was something blitzo thought it was transactional like if you go back after watching the last episode so it's proposition in the bathtub might just be a let's hang out type deal. Blitzo is aggressive with him so he thought he had to be aggressively flirty back this is literally they're his first real relationship or second. He also ask him to body guard, and invites him to harvest moon festival because he just want to be around him. (Edit sorry for the grammar issues talk to text it didn't like blitzo)
Oh man, really feeling for Blitzo and Stolas here... Millie and Moxxie have a pure thing, which is rare, and unfortunately that hits harder for those who don't have that.
Everyone is feeling for stolas but no one ever mention how Octavia is feeling about the situation stolas is creating. I'm pretty sure from the pic in EP 2 they seem pretty happy couple but who knows what happened to their relationship and who is fault is it and don't y'all say Stella cause I ain't. I'm fucking introduced to a guy who is already cheating and only stolas had been given a proper screen time and build up. I ain't saying it's stolas fault or stella but I'm fucking introduced to a character who is cheating and given some minor clue on why he is cheating but that still doesn't excuse on how he handle it cause I'm fucking pitying Octavia right now and for one I know the feeling of a somewhat good family turns into ruin but I don't know the feeling of meeting the person who is your dad cheating with.

Stolas needs to be protected at all costs. He's too damn precious, wanting to be loved back and rejected at every turn, watching him not even be the focus of Blitzo's attention and realizing he doesn't care is heartbreaking
I mean it's not even that he doesn't care, Blitzo himself makes it clear he has distance between em bc he only sees Stolas's actions/intentions as being sex and having him as a toy/pet (from the hallucinations last episode). Man's depressed and doesn't want to be vulnerable again
Blitzo’s rejection of stolas isn’t entirely unjustified to be fair. When asmodeus calls attention to their relationship, stolas hides behind his menu. He feels a sense of shame for his and Blitzo’s relationship, and seeing that just made blitzo feel even more worthless than he already did. Hence why he accuses stolas later of the relationship being a purely transactional one.

A change of pace from what I have come to expect from this show. But, that is what makes it so impactful. This was an emotional roller coaster. It shows the dynamics of the relationships that the main characters have.
Not even in the pressence of a ring leader Millie still attacked his "mate" to allow Moxxie to finish his song. Nothing can stop Millie. P.s. The voice for Asmodeus hit thoses notes so great.

I feel like Blitzø is obsessed with Millie and Moxxie because he envies their relationship and wants what they have. He wants to imagine himself with a relationship like theirs
i gotta say, the way blitzo and stolas interacted in this episode REALLY felt real, the way their body language was animated and their voice acting was done really genuinely made it feel REAL
I love how these characters aren't restricted to a specific wardrobe item. It makes it more relatable that the characters dressed differently just like people would irl.
they do sorta have stock costumes like a regular cartoon but when the outfits change there is simple believable reasons behind it. its so cool. and there is almost always some significance to the wardrobes.
I just realised something after rewatching this episode for the tenth time. Blitzo isn't saying he doesn't want more from Stolas... Which I misunderstood from my first few watchings. His exact words "don't act like what we have is anything more than you wanting me to fuck you". At first I thought he was saying that their relationship is nothing more than sex, but in truth he's saying "I know you don't want more from me because who could ever love me". He can't see Stolas' advance as anything more than him wanting sex. He think Stolas invited him to stay because he wanted it to end in bed. While Stolas genuinely wanted to spend time with Blitzo... Makes it all the more tragic

What’s kinda fucked up is that I feel like Asmodeus was probably complimenting Stolas for something that he was embarrassed about. Imagine the demonic embodiment of lust saying you embody that very spirit when you’ve basically fucked up your life or the life of others. In a place like that, it’s probably seen as a good thing which is remarkably similar to the real world where some people get pats on the back for the same or at least similar things that Stolas is doing. The realism this episode represents is crazy cool.

Stolas ruined his family over lust, and that very seriously is something Ozzie likes to see. He wasn't saying "good job stolas, congtatz" but he was genuinely like "another lustful sinner chooses lust over everything else, it warms my heart to see a disgusting bastard like you fall so low"
I love how in each episode we manage to just get deeper and deeper into what makes Blitzo the way he is, along with the other characters with how they act, say, think, and feel.
Seeing all their character development throughout the episodes and learning more about their pasts and backstories is so cool to me, I wholeheartedly agree!
To be honest, I loved how they like don't care about anything at first. And those emotional vibe doesn't gets me. But it fits, and I can't say I don't like it. But I prefer careless and emotionless Blitz(o).

Aside from the obvious Tearjerkers, some small things that make me smile: Stolas and Stella have officially separated, as Stolas mentions Octavia is with her mom. This may provide some hope that they can just go their separate ways and find some peace, without continuing to hurt one another. Loona went to a party with Tex. Meaning that Tex was 100% sincere in wanting to be her friend and help her socialize.
Yeah the party invitation moment made me smile too. It may be pretty soon for me to ship them, although Loona obviously has a crush on Tex, but I’m glad the author remembered those characters as well, and I would like to see some episodes dedicated specifically to their relationship
Kinda interesting tho to see Tex - Verosika's bodyguard - having a day off to party when she is performing somewhere, and apparently without any bodyguards. Is the lust ring safe enough or is that just an oversight?
Kinda interesting that even tho he seems to utterly despise Verosika, he still has a picture of her and him together on his phone. This episode really speaks volumes about Blitzo's character.
Also by the way verosika sing, she probally really liked blitzo, blitzo isn't just hurting himself but everyone around him, his love life is a true mess
Didn't stand up for him either though. If he had, it might have given more of a reason for blitzo to think his intentions were less about sex and more because he actually cared.
This episode triggered a rant from me, I just explained to my significant other why Stolitz shouldn't work from Stolas' side and why Blitz isn't emotionally stable enough to change their relationship right now.
@@Lauer5Lynn Assume we want a healthy relationship. Let's start with the simple problem first; Stolas using his book to keep blitz chained to him has to change. Stolas is a prince so he is used to things being given to him, Stella was probably an arranged marriage, he can get into clubs without reservation etc. He also doesn't recognize other peoples emotions as in episode 2 with Octavia. Blitz most likely feels trapped since without that book Blitz can't pay M&M, he can't pay his bills, he can't pay Loona. Episode 5 he believes it is a transactional ****ing.
On to the Blitz. Episode six, we know he hates himself and is prone to self-destruction, He wants to change and is, slowly. Episode 7 the opening he treats Moxxie without criticism. A step in the right direction but the baggage he carries needs work, we see from his photos he doesn't want to self reflect and on his phone we see all his past failed relationships and the sight of his sister and I assume his mother just sets him off. Based on that alone I'm going to say he doesn't or can't see his mother anymore.
I love how Blitz says sorry at the end, that’s growth for the guy who has a track record of swearing people off 99% of the time. Even though his “relationship” with Stolus of far from healthy, he didn’t just put right shut it down.
I already comments this but this part when blitz says I'm sorry, He's not saying he's sorry for what happened or for not wanting to hang out, he apologizes for not wanting to fuck with stolas rn. Blitz is known to curse at everyone and never apologize but he says he's sorry, because he feels like it's his only worth. His coworkers don't want to be around him, he doesn't have friends and the only one who wants him around is stolas who he thinks only want to fuck him. So he's apologizing because he's not doing the only thing he has worth in and dissapointing the only person who wants anything to do with him. What I'm getting at here is GODDAMNED SOMEONE GIVE HIM A HUG

I love the detail on how Verosika insulted Blitzo by saying he's bad at sex, because regardless of in how many other ways he'd hurt her, they are at Ozzie's in the lust ring, sex is what people care about, she wasn't insulting him to let out her feeling, she was insulting him in a way that would hurt his reutation as much as possible

Okay, did anyone else notice how Stolas started calling Blitzo by his real, preferred name? We’ve seen how people address Blitz (ie Blitzo, Sir, Blitzy, etc) as a means of showing where and how people showed up in his life. The fact that Blitz dropped the “o” from his name seems to be a major point of his character and choice in his life. The fact that Stolas is addressing him as Blitz and not Blitzy at the end shows Stolas’ changing view of Blitz and Blitz’s role in his life. It’s so subtle that Blitzo probably missed it, but it’s noticeable to the audience. Beautifully done.
Ikr! He's really trying this time, and really wants to show Blitz that he sees him for who he is, who he prefers to be, but unfortunately, Blitz is too hurt and chased up in his own troubles to see it, or he doesn't want to see it, because then he'd risk falling into the same trap again

In the end, if blitz doesn't try to forget the past then what Moxxie said in the blitzo's dream will become true, not because blitzo's asshole remarks and comments, but because he doesn't want people getting close to him. I know how he feels because I actually went though this sort of thing, I blamed myself for a lot of shit but as I started to realise that a lot of stuff I blamed myself for isn't actually in my control, here is hope that blitz can learn to forget the past and let's people in again

Real sad episode. Moxie and Millie are adorable a couple as ever, but I was too stuck on on Blitzo and Stolas. Stolas is clearly serious about him. Got a little embarrassed when the spotlight was put on him but he still clearly likes Blitzo. I hope Stolas can gain the confidence to assure him that he sees Blitzo as more than a friend with benefit.
it's clear Stolas DOES like blitz but blitz is too pig headed not to want to just talk to him about his feelings it's also pretty clear blitz cares about Stolas as well, but he has some toxic issues making it hard for him to love and be loved.
Yeah, that moment he hid his face was what convinced Blitzo he was still just a plaything to Stolas, when that’s clearly no longer the case. Here’s hoping they work it out in the season finale.

I loved his design. Not only it wasn’t what you’d expect of the prince of Lust but it looks like a modern depiction of actual prince of lust in the Bible. It’s very well done

@@friendlyneighborhoodinquis1682 it seems more related to his mom. As a root problem. Then look at him and Fizzarolli. Fizzarolli left him behind as he became more popular. I don't doubt that he was the one who carved out acts for Blitzo here and there but the resentment between them grew so bad that Fizz just left him behind and that left Blitzo feeling deeply betrayed.....even though it was his own resentment at Fizzarolli that dissolved their relationship. I think this goes back to episode 6 and how his hallucination of Fizzarolli threw him into the mud, how he interprets being left behind as his childhood friend turned lover gained success and abandoned him. Then a rebound with a popular pop singer in Verosika, but he never really liked her. His face in the picture seems like it is meant for someone else. He doesn't look cool, he looks bitter and venomous. He was just using her, her body to try and forget Fizzarolli and her status to hit back at his ex. Blitzo has an awful history that he pretty much made himself. And he fucking knows it.
But what we don't know or get or understand is his relationship with his mom and how that started everything. Except...maybe....just a thought. His mom looks really sad. Her children are all smiles and happy but she looks...depressed.
And it just crossed my mind writing this. But what if his mom killed herself...

Its like Blitzø is trying to learn more about Millie and Moxxie’s relationship so he can be a better person in relationships in the future. I’ve never had liked Blitz back in the other episodes and only liked Loona and Millie because of how badass and cool they were. But this episode made Blitzø my favourite comfort character.

Blitz also has a photo album with only the happiest memories he has (like Loona's adoption for example) - the fact that a night with Stolas is in the same album just proves that he truly does feel happy with him, just doesn't think he can do anything about it to not ruin it all again. the blitzo fear isnt a thing of the helluva boss, its real and i found comments down below talking about it and persons who have the fear of love, like me, i got this "cycle of sollitude" for a long time, i had the problem of feeling love for real, but never come past my limits, i couldnt find a way to create real relationships without acting like a toy or a tool willing to be used (just like blitzo), but it took a time for me to realize that there is nothing wrong in feeling love, a lot of people cared about me and i've pushed then away like blitzo, breaking their hearts, i've knew i was more than the "empty shell" i created, i moved on those feelings and after 7 years of struggle, made 3 freinds which are the best companies i have now, they really understand me and care about me and when it comes to me care about then, i do it, i don't act like a puppet willing to be used by its masters, we all love helluva boss and have been watching it from the beggining.
When this episode went on, we all made a discord call to react it and when i saw the ending, blitzo crying and all, i got discrontolled and went on for the crying, hugged alongside my pillow like blitzo, cause he was my favorite character and seing him at this point of life broke me and i strugled to change my way of life, it felt ironic, after a time my freinds told me that if i changed, blitzo would change too, after all this time i keep holding the feeling that blitzo can be more and he''ll find a way to live on just like me, he became a silhoutte of a me that existed for a long time.

They're saying that they can relate to how it feels to be single, and you're surrounded by happy smiling couples who have everything that you wish you could have.

What really gets me is when Stolas says goodnight at the end and calls him Blitz instead of Blitzy, that hit hard.
He actually calls him that the whole time they're at the club, but blitzø doesn't pay attention to stolas being respectful to him which was why stolas appeared nervous at the start, and even then he still tried to keep a conversation going until the fiasco happened.

Stolas' behaviour does include him using the book to get Blitz in his bed, but we cannot ignore the attempts to have something more. i just loved this episode. suprisingly moxxie was a bit of a weaker character in this one but i think that beacause this episode was focused less on comedy and thats where he shines
I remember thinking when I first saw it too. Stolas makes it pretty clear he's interested in something more than just physical, but Blitz either can't recognize it, or I think more likely, he's lying to himself because many people with strong insecurities often construct falsehoods in their mind to reinforce why they believe they're unloved. It hurts so hard recognizing it because you've lived it, its so real.

Can I point out how much I love that Blitz stood up for Moxxie, even if it was in a weird way. Blitz hid the moment he saw Fizz, not wanting to be seen. But when he got up to defend Moxxie it put all attention on him, making himself a target.

As much as it hurts, I really like how Stolas handled that conversation in the car. Understanding when it's best to give a person space and let them work things out on their own is difficult, but a simple 'Okay' and a step back was the right thing to do. The realism in the way these characters act is what keeps me coming back to this show.

I love Stolas as a character. His flaws are spot on. He is a terrifying entity, yet is so vulnerable, its difficult not to pity him.

I just noticed in Blitzø's house. His face is marked out on a lot of the photos which makes me believe he is self-conscious about himself or under values his life alone because he hasn't been able to find a healthy relationship like Moxxie and millie have which was the reason why he adopted Luna to possible try to share his love to her as a parent but she really doesn't take it granted a lot.

That's actually a key trait of Blitz that can be spotted in nearly every episode. I'm guessing something happened in his past that, probably around his parents, that left him incapable of understanding what a healthy relationship looks like. Which is why he keeps spying on Millie and Moxxie, cause their relationship is the kind he is striving for, but has no idea how to achieve.
He has a pathological desire for family relations, and adopting Loona is, technically speaking, a symptom.
Chances are Stolas will be his way towards the goal, but Blitz still sees himself as Stolas' plaything. I'm guessing there will at least be a couple of episodes where the two of em gradually figure out how they feel- Stolas realizing he actually deeply cares for Blitz, and Blitz figuring it out and managing a sort of relationship with him. I can already see Blitz asking Moxxie for advice, without trying to look like he's asking him for advice.

Did no one notice how when Stolas looked at Stella, his eyes were normal.. but when he saw Octavia his pupils showed. It’s great detail. Monarchy is weird, he wasn’t in love with a demon who speaks royalty, but still adores his daughter more than anything. He realized what love is, even though Blitz is an Imp. I see he still feels guilty for the affair, but I know it’s.. way more complicated than that.
His pupils also often show when he talks to Blitz, especially when he asked him on a "date" they even were heart-shaped... Those details are amazing!

God stolas always sounds so genuinely happy whenever he’s around blitz. His mood takes a complete 180 when blitz asks him out and his day is already so much better. To me, he’s always been portrayed as a power figure who does love blitz but still has this demeanor of “superiority” you could say. But this opening sequence and Stolas’s scrambling for the phone really humanize him for me and makes him feel less like a stiff character. This show is masterful in character portrayal. You don’t get art like this from corporations anymore

Man the ending when blitz was going through his pictures you can see of him with m&m going to verosika and fizz when they were kids too. his mom and his sister(or at least that's what I believe they are.) in one of the episodes verosika stated "your sister says hi" from when she was in rehab that kinda stuck on me and I've been expecting to see the sister soon. But that last picture that blitz saw that made him start crying.. that hit home. And holy hell... for a split second you see a little bit of blitz past that made him happy.. and now tears him apart.. freaking love this show!

@Eeeeeee stolas generally thought they were in love and is not the best at showing love. So until we know how blitzo feels about solace it open. It might off started as a lie and developed into more.
Blitzo literally puts stolas on a pedestal of gold and a heart chair in his acid trip might be a crush. Also when fizz says "who are you to comment on a relationship" blitz was eyeing stolas.
Blitzo might just think the relationship is purely physical for stolas or he is pushing him away.
Solace calling the relationship a comfortable lie is him responding to blitzo said that it was just him wanting him to f*** him. Stolas thought the relationship was something blitzo thought it was transactional like if you go back after watching the last episode so it's proposition in the bathtub might just be a let's hang out type deal. Blitzo is aggressive with him so he thought he had to be aggressively flirty back this is literally they're his first real relationship or second.
He also ask him to body guard, and invites him to harvest moon festival because he just want to be around him.

Stolas needs to be protected at all costs. He's too damn precious, wanting to be loved back and rejected at every turn, watching him not even be the focus of Blitzo's attention and realizing he doesn't care is heartbreaking
I mean it's not even that he doesn't care, Blitzo himself makes it clear he has distance between em bc he only sees Stolas's actions/intentions as being sex and having him as a toy/pet (from the hallucinations last episode). Man's depressed and doesn't want to be vulnerable again

Blitzo’s rejection of stolas isn’t entirely unjustified to be fair. When asmodeus calls attention to their relationship, stolas hides behind his menu. He feels a sense of shame for his and Blitzo’s relationship, and seeing that just made blitzo feel even more worthless than he already did. Hence why he accuses stolas later of the relationship being a purely transactional one.

I love how these characters aren't restricted to a specific wardrobe item. It makes it more relatable that the characters dressed differently just like people would irl.
they do sorta have stock costumes like a regular cartoon but when the outfits change there is simple believable reasons behind it. its so cool. and there is almost always some significance to the wardrobes.

I just realised something after rewatching this episode for the tenth time. Blitzo isn't saying he doesn't want more from Stolas... Which I misunderstood from my first few watchings. His exact words "don't act like what we have is anything more than you wanting me to fuck you". At first I thought he was saying that their relationship is nothing more than sex, but in truth he's saying "I know you don't want more from me because who could ever love me". He can't see Stolas' advance as anything more than him wanting sex. He think Stolas invited him to stay because he wanted it to end in bed. While Stolas genuinely wanted to spend time with Blitzo... Makes it all the more tragic
Ikr like Stolas desperately wants something more with and I think Blitz is scared of love. I mean with the picture that he cried at. I think he wants love but is scared that no one will love him

He can't trust people, he feels unworthy, and that leads to,him not being good at romance and envying Moxy and Millie' relationship
@Camille Pepin during episode 4 when loopty first appeared and before millie jumped in to talk to him you can see a poster for blitz and his "twin" while not outright confirmed that is his sister that is a bit suspicious also during episode three when Verosica and blitz are arguing over the spot Verosica mentions his sister being in rehab while yes this could be an insult blitz's sister may not be gone

What’s kinda fucked up is that I feel like Asmodeus was probably complimenting Stolas for something that he was embarrassed about. Imagine the demonic embodiment of lust saying you embody that very spirit when you’ve basically fucked up your life or the life of others.
In a place like that, it’s probably seen as a good thing which is remarkably similar to the real world where some people get pats on the back for the same or at least similar things that Stolas is doing. The realism this episode represents is crazy cool.

Stolas ruined his family over lust, and that very seriously is something Ozzie likes to see. He wasn't saying "good job stolas, congtatz" but he was genuinely like "another lustful sinner chooses lust over everything else, it warms my heart to see a disgusting bastard like you fall so low"
I love how in each episode we manage to just get deeper and deeper into what makes Blitzo the way he is, along with the other characters with how they act, say, think, and feel.
And now it just got a lot more interesting

Aside from the obvious Tearjerkers, some small things that make me smile:
Stolas and Stella have officially separated, as Stolas mentions Octavia is with her mom. This may provide some hope that they can just go their separate ways and find some peace, without continuing to hurt one another.
Loona went to a party with Tex. Meaning that Tex was 100% sincere in wanting to be her friend and help her socialize.

Yeah the party invitation moment made me smile too. It may be pretty soon for me to ship them, although Loona obviously has a crush on Tex, but I’m glad the author remembered those characters as well, and I would like to see some episodes dedicated specifically to their relationship
Kinda interesting tho to see Tex - Verosika's bodyguard - having a day off to party when she is performing somewhere, and apparently without any bodyguards. Is the lust ring safe enough or is that just an oversight?

Stolas didn’t abandon blitz even after he was mocked openly. He’s a real one. I have hope for them
Didn't stand up for him either though. If he had, it might have given more of a reason for blitzo to think his intentions were less about sex and more because he actually cared.
This episode triggered a rant from me, I just explained to my significant other why Stolitz shouldn't work from Stolas' side and why Blitz isn't emotionally stable enough to change their relationship right now.

@@Lauer5Lynn Assume we want a healthy relationship. Let's start with the simple problem first; Stolas using his book to keep blitz chained to him has to change. Stolas is a prince so he is used to things being given to him, Stella was probably an arranged marriage, he can get into clubs without reservation etc. He also doesn't recognize other peoples emotions as in episode 2 with Octavia. Blitz most likely feels trapped since without that book Blitz can't pay M&M, he can't pay his bills, he can't pay Loona. Episode 5 he believes it is a transactional ****ing.
On to the Blitz. Episode six, we know he hates himself and is prone to self-destruction, He wants to change and is, slowly. Episode 7 the opening he treats Moxxie without criticism. A step in the right direction but the baggage he carries needs work, we see from his photos he doesn't want to self reflect and on his phone we see all his past failed relationships and the sight of his sister and I assume his mother just sets him off. Based on that alone I'm going to say he doesn't or can't see his mother anymore.
I love how Blitz says sorry at the end, that’s growth for the guy who has a track record of swearing people off 99% of the time. Even though his “relationship” with Stolus of far from healthy, he didn’t just put right shut it down.

I already comments this but this part when blitz says I'm sorry, He's not saying he's sorry for what happened or for not wanting to hang out, he apologizes for not wanting to fuck with stolas rn. Blitz is known to curse at everyone and never apologize but he says he's sorry, because he feels like it's his only worth. His coworkers don't want to be around him, he doesn't have friends and the only one who wants him around is stolas who he thinks only want to fuck him. So he's apologizing because he's not doing the only thing he has worth in and dissapointing the only person who wants anything to do with him.

Fun fact, this was Helluva Boss’ 1 year anniversary, meaning that episode 1 was right after they got married, which could mean a ton of things, like going to Earth was their honeymoon.
I love the detail on how Verosika insulted Blitzo by saying he's bad at sex, because regardless of in how many other ways he'd hurt her, they are at Ozzie's in the lust ring, sex is what people care about, she wasn't insulting him to let out her feeling, she was insulting him in a way that would hurt his reutation as much as possible

Okay, did anyone else notice how Stolas started calling Blitzo by his real, preferred name? We’ve seen how people address Blitz (ie Blitzo, Sir, Blitzy, etc) as a means of showing where and how people showed up in his life. The fact that Blitz dropped the “o” from his name seems to be a major point of his character and choice in his life. The fact that Stolas is addressing him as Blitz and not Blitzy at the end shows Stolas’ changing view of Blitz and Blitz’s role in his life. It’s so subtle that Blitzo probably missed it, but it’s noticeable to the audience. Beautifully done.

@@Monkicos (prepare for a long read) that or he believes he is the reason for all the fuck ups, he believes its his fault for who he is, that everything is his fault cuz when he is home, all the pictures of him on his wall have his faced crossed out, he doesn't want to get closed to people cuz he thinks if he does then he will fuck up their life, he probably thinks he is the reason he fucked up Stolas's reputation when in reality, Stolas knew what would happen but thought "Fuck it, I love him, I don't care anymore" but when they both where confronted with that, they feel like they are to blame, blitz feels like its his fault for getting involved with Stolas and Stolas thinks it's his fault because he started developing feelings for blitz, and I do believe blitz has feelings for Stolas too (I.E the end to EP 6) but after what happened at the restaurant, he doesn't want to admit them, to Stolas and to himself.
In the end, if blitz doesn't try to forget the past then what Moxxie said in the blitzo's dream will become true, not because blitzo's asshole remarks and comments, but because he doesn't want people getting close to him.
I know how he feels because I actually went though this sort of thing, I blamed myself for a lot of shit but as I started to realise that a lot of stuff I blamed myself for isn't actually in my control, here is hope that blitz can learn to forget the past and let's people in again

Real sad episode. Moxie and Millie are adorable a couple as ever, but I was too stuck on on Blitzo and Stolas. Stolas is clearly serious about him. Got a little embarrassed when the spotlight was put on him but he still clearly likes Blitzo. I hope Stolas can gain the confidence to assure him that he sees Blitzo as more than a friend with benefit.

I loved his design. Not only it wasn’t what you’d expect of the prince of Lust but it looks like a modern depiction of actual prince of lust in the Bible. It’s very well done
