It’s all about Pine Cones! This was an especially bad year for Cones. And I’m getting too old to hand rake an acre. So I started looking for alternatives.
I bought this sweeper via Ali-Express for $185 w/ tax and delivery
It was available from Amazon for $251 delivered (plus tax)
Or from Home Depot for $330 delivered (plus tax)
Yeah… Wide range. So, shop around for the best price.
Delivery from Ali-Express was promised for 5-9 days. It was actually delivered in 3 days.
SWEEPER WIDTH: 42-Inch
BRUSH HEIGHT: Set brushes to penetrate the grass to a depth of 1/2 in.
HOPPER SIZE: 12 cu. Ft. Capacity
Last fall and this spring were an especially “bad” year for pine cones in my yard. Absolutely incredible.
I did a little searching for sweeper reviews related to pine cones… and found garbage.
And most reviews/comparisons just regurgitated the propaganda from the sales description of the sweeper ads.
I decided to buy a tow lawn sweeper to see if that will work. I have nothing to compare it to, I’ve never owned one or used one.
The sweeper worked surprisingly well on pine cones and picked up a lot of pine needles.
So, this sweeper gets a thumbs up from me.
I did rip the basket fabric during assembly. And I got a couple more tears in the fabric when I used it. So, be careful.
3/27/2024 update - We had high winds yesterday, and the pine cones are all over my yard and driveway. I’ll be sweeping again soon!
The price at Ali-Express went up a little since I bought mine a month ago…
