I have had the Brinley branded version for about 5 years. Have an acre lot with lots of trees and mainly just use it in the fall. I have a mulching deck on the mower with the discharge covered so can use the sweeper while mowing. I run the mower when picking up leaves so it mulches them and the sweeper picks them up quite nicely. The mulched leaves take less space in the hopper so don't have to empty it as often. The hopper gets heavier filled with mulched leaves, so I mounted a pulley where the rope attaches to the hopper. Run the rope through the pulley and run both ends of the rope to the mower. With one end tied to the mower, gives a 2-1 advantage in dumping the hopper.
👍🏻 🙋🏻♂️ 3-25-2023 🇺🇸 As for the edges where it’s beginning to become unsown, you can fix it with black zip ties. I believe all of these sweepers , you have to get off to adjust the height. I have a craftsman model that has the adjustment next to the right wheel with a lever.
Two things…any suggestions on how to purchase the protective netting? Can’t find one anywhere…lastly and more importantly, I can’t seem to get my sweeper to sit and more open to catch the debris. The two brass looking thin bars on the inside seem to be locked up and I can’t straighten them out to get the bag open fully…idk if that makes sense or not. Mine was already used by someone. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Thank you, Josh! I'm trying to decide between the 42" and the 44". Besides the obvious 2", what are the differences and why is the 42" more expensive? Thanks!
I’m not too sure of other major differences, the only real one would be the hitch setup, much simpler on the 42, and I’d go with that one regardless of price. Cost difference could be just manufacture, 44 is agri-fab, 42 is Brinly.
Yes, the hopper can be collapsed, and then you can lower the lift lever, and tilt the hopper all the way up. It saves some space, but this is still a large tool… nature of the beast!
I never hear anyone fabricating a PVC slider and attaching it under the bag frame... Several lengths of small diameter PVC pipe (1/2 inch) under the bag would eliminate the wear and tare from dragging! First thing I would do with mine.

Good informative video Josh , keep this item in mind
Good honest review. Thanks for sharing
That keyway on the back of the small gear, and the small gear itself can be wear items that I see in other videos. 👍

As far as storage does it collapse ?
