What a delicious looking feast!!!!! I knew a lady from Argentina and she cooked Milanesa for me! I loved it! It looks just like your schnitzel! But she fried it in oil. I’m curious about that date sauce/syrup! It really sounds good! I’ve never cooked with wine. But I hear that it is good. I just don’t want to pay the money for wine so I use chicken broth. 😂 I bet your house smelled so good with all that food cooking! I think I heard birds chirping outside your window!! Love it!!! Your baby is precious!! ❤
Hello Tamar, I tried your challah recipe, and I liked it so much. Thanks for sharing. I'd like to know how do you warm your food in Shabbat? Thanks and blessings!!
Wow Jessica! So cool that your challah came out good! ❤️ We warm our food on a preheated hot plate, as we don't turn on any electricity on Shabbat. In Hebrew we call it "Plata" 😊. Maybe i'll make a video of some of our special Shabbat gadgets 😅
I just love this channel that Tzivia Rochel told me about! I saw you write your "to-do list" in Hebrew! I am most impressed!! You should make some of Bubby BeaBea's recipes!
Thank you for this video. What is the "ceylon" (msp?) sauce you added to the marinade for the schnitzel and the chicken quarters? It looked dark brown and was in a clear plastic squeeze bottle. I just need a correct spelling or brand name and I'll Google it. Thanks! ♥️♥️♥️
@@GloryFink Thanks so much for the clarification! I've never heard it called by that but have used date honey/syrup before--it's delicious & low glycemic which is why I started using it. Cool to see it used in this preparation bc I only used it with sweets or in drinks.
That is a great question! According to Rav Melamed (a very well known Israeli rabbi), checking eggs only needs to be done in *fertilized* eggs. In the state of Israel today, regulation doesn't allow for eggs to be fertilized (97% of the eggs are not) and so, they do not need to be checked. If I do spot blood, I am just take it out (never happened to me yet :)).
My grandson told me about your youtube channel, really your recipes are wonderful, but the ingredients are not mentioned. Please mention that one also next time.
Thanks so much! So sweet of you to say ❤️ I use for the marinade silan (date sauce popular in Israel :), soy sauce, garlic powder and paprika. Then just use plain breadcrumbs. I prefer the golden colored breadcrumbs gives it nicer color 😊 If I do get the white breadcrumbs then I add a bit more paprika to it to add color 💕
Great question 😆 I go by rabbi Eliezer Melamed (pninei halacha), who says today the eggs in Israel are not fertilized and therefore don't need checking. If you do see a blood spot just take it out. 👍
Can't WAIT till I can Convert (( and restore what my great grandparents ruined by fully assimilating away from Judaism in WW2.....I LONG to LIVE this way since a child.
I have compassion for your great grandparents and the difficult choices they had to make in those times. I'm glad you are able to restore what was lost.
@@kristinesharp6286 In this video, I was still on maternity leave 🥰 Now that I'm back at work, we mostly cook Thursday night and a little bit on Friday. In Israel, Friday is a non-working day, while kids do have a school day (albeit shorter than regular days)
@@tamarmeisels4637 for a minute I was completely impressed with the work friendly culture for families. If only adults could drop the kids off and go to work and then pick up at 4.

What did your husband add to the turkey after the wine?
Hey Aviva!
He adds paprika, garlic, salt and pepper 😊

It may be ceylon tea syrup & taking the place of sugar/sweetener in the marinade but I'm curious as well!
@@amandajoseph8883 I think it's Silan, a date syrup or date molasses

Hi Glory! Ya you're right it's silan, date syrup. Very common to use it here in Israel.
Comes out great with chicken/ shnitzel etc.. ♥️♥️♥️
do you not check the eggs before adding as it may contain blood making it not kosher? Good day !!

This might be a stupid question: what is the Schnitzel meat? Chicken?
Not at all! A great question 🥰
Yes, it is chicken. Usually they have cuts of skinless, boneless chicken breast pieces and we call that shnitzel :)
You are lovely to answer haha! I didn't know that before either!

Wonderful! What a beautiful meal! Could you please tell us what is in your schnitzel, in the marinade and the breading? Thank you so much! :)

Why did you just crack egg into bowl without checking for blood spots? 😮

Why so many meats for one meal?
On shabbat we have 2 meals 💕 We try to keep it simple, usually 1 or 2 main courses each meal.
We cook in advance for the full 24 hours, so as not to cook on Shabbat.
How many hours do you work a day?
Around 8/9 hours
@@tamarmeisels4637 how are you home earlier enough to cook and get the kids at 4?
