I was going to ask you how you navigate items being delivered damaged or not to your liking. I do online grocery pickup from Walmart. They will refund anything damaged or about to expire. It’s great. Sometimes I can tell someone really good chose our items. Sometimes looks like they grabbed all the yucky about to expire stuff 😂 what a beautiful shop you did. The produce looks gorgeous, very healthy🥰Chanukah Sameach to you and your beautiful family🕎🍩
That is great they refund! Hope they make the process easy! Here too, they will mostly refund us, only you have to call them on the phone, and that can be annoying.😒 My husband does it, but sometimes he'll pass if its small items🤗 Thank you so much! Happy Chanukah! 🕎🍩❤

Thanks so much!! I appreciate that 💕 Welcome aboard 😊
please dear jewish person accept YESHUA HAMASHIACH / ( that’s JESUS CHRIST/MESSIAH in Hebrew YESHUA is the Messiah HE fulfilled the prophecies! accept JESUS CHRIST as your LORD GOD and SAVIOR Like Daniel chapter 9 In 538 BC, the angel Gabriel gave Daniel a prophecy pinpointing when the Messiah would arrive. “Know and understand this,” Gabriel told him (Daniel 9:25). While Daniel may have understood it, somewhere along the way that insight has been lost. Old Testament scholars have long been debating the prophecy’s meaning, but one scholar, Harold Hoehner, had a particularly astounding interpretation. While in Babylon, Daniel read the Scriptures, learning that Jeremiah had foretold both the Babylonian captivity and the Israelites’ return to their homeland after 70 years. In response, Daniel confessed the sins of the nation in prayer, inciting the angel Gabriel to visit and deliver this message: Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. Breaking Down the Daniel Prophecy In taking a closer look at the Daniel passage, one thing is clear: it is about the Messiah. We see that the term “Messiah,” or “Anointed One,” is capitalized. It is also clear that a formula of sorts is provided to calculate when the Messiah will appear. The difficulties come in interpreting the formula. One such difficulty is determining the meaning of “weeks,” which is used in a number of translations. (NIV uses the term “sevens” instead of “weeks.”) In ancient Hebrew, “weeks” had a number of meanings, which scholars can determine by the context. The context in the Daniel passage shows that “weeks” means “seven units.” Using this definition, we can calculate when the Messiah will arrive: (7 x 7) + (62 x 7) = 49 + 434 = 483 years. The prophecy further says that after the Messiah arrives, he will be “put to death and will have nothing.” The word “after” is very important. After the Messiah arrives, he will be put to death. Jesus’s crucifixion fulfills that prophecy. We now know that the Messiah would arrive 483 years in the future. But does the prophecy specify a beginning date? The prophecy tells us: “From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem.” So, who ordered this decree to restore Jerusalem, and when was it ordered? There are several possibilities, but the decree that best fits the evidence was made by the Persian king Artaxerxes to Nehemiah on March 5 of 444 BC (Nehemiah 2:1-8). (In this article, a number of biblical dates are used, all of which have been under debate by scholars for hundreds of years. Harold Hoehner makes a strong case for each of the dates. For those details, please refer to Hoehner’s book Chronological Aspects of the Life of Christ.) Before we can make some calculations, we need to know how Daniel’s civilization counted time-by a solar year or a lunar year. A solar year has 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 46 seconds, or 365.2422 days. A lunar year has exactly 360 days: 12 months of 30 days. [A lunar year has 12 rotation periods, or lunar months, which equal 354.367 Earth days (12 x 29.53059). However, ancient peoples rounded off the lunar month to 30 days. Thus, their lunar year would equal 360 days (30 days x 12).] Since the lunar year was commonly used in ancient biblical times, it makes the most sense to use the lunar year in calculations. We must also decide how to define the arrival of the Messiah. Do we use Jesus’s birthdate, the date he began his ministry, the date of his crucifixion, or some other date? The date that many scholars have accepted as the time of the Messiah’s arrival is Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The reason for choosing this date is that this is when Jesus publicly declared that he was the Messiah. Before then, he told only select people, like his disciples, and he often reminded them to keep his identity secret. History chronologists have estimated that Jesus’s triumphal entry fell on Monday, March 30, AD 33. Calculating Gabriel’s Formula Now we’re ready to do some math to determine if Gabriel did in fact predict Jesus’s arrival. We’ll start by determining how many days are in 483 lunar years: 360 x 483 = 173,880 days. Next, we’ll convert those days back into solar years: 173,880 ÷ 365.2422 = 476.068 years. After converting the decimal part (0.068) to days (0.068 x 365.2422 = 24.8 days), the time prophesized for the Messiah to arrive comes out to be 476 years and 25 days. Adding this number to March 5, 444 BC-the date on which the decree to rebuild Jerusalem was issued-brings us to March 30, AD 33, the very day of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Is this match not remarkable? The remarkable accuracy of the predictions in the prophecy in Daniel [assuming the estimates are correctly interpreted and accurate] supports the truth of the prophecy, which in turn builds confidence in the authority and reliability of the Bible. If you want to give life to YESHUA HAMASHIACH / ( that’s JESUS CHRIST/MESSIAH in Hebrew here is how to if you want to rededicate your life or just accept HIM as your LORD GOD and ) as the scriptures says in Romans 10:9 [Amplified Bible, Classic Edition] Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ( GOD invites people of all races backgrounds and ethnicities to come to CHRIST for we are all one in CHRIST) as the scriptures says in the book of Galatians Galatians 3:28 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

I grew up in a Muslim Brotherhood background and I can see the similarity between your Dati leUmi (Religious Zionist) community and my community in term of spirit but the difference is your community is genuinely about love of the family, tribe, community and land while my (former) Islamist community is about reclaiming the Caliphate era via political and militant Islam. Now I identify myself as Muslim Zionist and I feel so close with the Datim despite in the real world, most Islamists would hate you guys the most. May Allah bless the people of Israel and the Land of Israel.🤲🏻
Very interesting! Thank you so much for sharing your perspective, what a journey! 🤲🏻
Hi Tamar, thanks for this video, so soothing, I am a careful buyer. Question, the shuk day on Tuesday goes for both the open shuk and grocery stores? Thank you. ❤
❤❤ So sweet of you thank you! Yes absolutely the 'Tuesday Shuk Day' is both for open shuk and grocery stores. (at least most grocery stores) 😎
Wow, your bread is beautiful!
Thanks so much! 💕🙏
As a person who is in a conversion process, living in the diaspora: I have to follow a list for shopping because there are like 1 or 2 places that are kosher markets and are way too far away from my place and they not buy online, so it can be really tricky keep it on a budget. I cannot affor meat so I eat eggs and are super expensive nowadays so I just eat it when I know I go to work in a place when I cannot purchase something kosher or when I have to eat at home because I have to be here all day long. I buy almost everything online one.or two times a month. I try to but fruits and vegetables when I need them and try to keep money aside to use it to buy something special for Shabbos. I barely eat out because there is not a kosher place where I live (there is one but you have to travel 3 hours to get there). But when I can I go to Starbucks abd they have a very tasty Bagel and an amazing kosher fruit and veggie juice that I love so much! I love that you have a lot of chances to find cheaper options.
Wow thank you so much for sharing! Very interesting ❤️❤️ You are amazing!
Amaranth has a lot of iron. The apricots you bought are probably sprayed with sulfur and contain more sugar than anything else.
Cool never heard of Amaranth will look it up! Ya it does have sulfur 😩 But no 'added sugar'
Your budgeting and shopping skills are excellent, Tamar. ✡️❤️
Thank you so much! You are so kind! ❤️
Nice video. Todah rabah
Me trying not to cry. You both looks so in love and conected❤ HaShem.alwats bless your marriage and your family.
Thank you so much!! You are so kind ❤
Shalom my dear. I believe I don't have a sweet tooth until you bake some goodies and I get hungry 😂
Also dairy in USA is pretty exptoo. A yogurt is about $2 which is a lot. Large yogurt in bulk is also expensive. O almost $7 ! Yup prices are pretty crazy now since COVID
A few of the dairy product here in Israel do have prices that are regulated (reg milk for example).. but yup dairy can be expensive and we loooove in our family 💕
@@ttee6990 it is weird (and honestly scary) to read that Israel is more expensive than the US for groceries. This absolutely the opposite of what I witness. I spend a gigantic amount of money here in Washington DC for groceries (including cleaning products/detergent etc…) I never looked closely but it sounds like $750/ pers/ month. And we rarely eat meat. But host and entertain a lot. I feel like food is way cheaper in Israel, market products specifically (I don t know where you buy your cucumber/tomatoes/clementines in the US, but here it is 4 times what Tamar paid…)
You mentioned granola for breakfast but you don’t talk about the ingredients used. Ingredients for granola in USA is pretty expensive. The nuts is expensive. I would assume bread is cheaper.
Yes absolutely you are right granola ingredients are very expensive! Especially when my husband and I eat it at least once daily 😜 This month we had in our pantry and a lot made up already so we didn't buy. (I make a huge batch every few weeks) So yes this is an expense I didn't include, id say a few hundred shekels a month, maybe 100 dollars a month. 🤔
I’m wondering how you get away so cheap. There are tons of items I didn’t see. Flour sugar paper stuff. Do u use plastic cups and plates. What about aluminum pans for baking? What about grains? A very small amount of canned items! One jar tomato sauce for a family of 6? I’m not understanding how u do this
I'm happy to say we don't use any aluminium pans paper or plastic 🎉 We do order much more tomatoe sauce! They didn't send this month ! We had to buy locally
Wow, thats what we spend for two in Sweden 😂
😂😂 come to us 💕
Beautiful house my sister ... Gues wat rebbetzin you are no thief you simply a cool person ❤
Tamar, is it worth the extra few min to go a little further from Osher Ad to Rami Levy in Haifa? We used to shop at Bingo in NJ and we think Osher Ad has good prices. Please let me know - we may try Rami Levy. We may be too far for delivery - have to look! Hazlacha, Esther
From what is see osher ad and Rami levy are neck and neck for the cheapest chains so ur doing great! 💕 I think if ur happy with osher ad I would stick with them. 😘 We prefer Rami since they have a full online service most of our friends fo to osher ad or yovhananof (both a short drive away)
Hi Tamar. Thank you! I would use the other store vs. Osher Od IF I could order online and we could just pick up. :)
Hey I checked on hitech zone and the rami Levi coupon I see saves you ten shekel per 500. Am I missing something?
Hey! Yes sorry about that, I made a mistake😳, its not 100 shekels, but its 7% off (35 shekels per 500), which means for 1000 shekels we get 70 shekels off. Also it is annoying to use... but my husband still does it 😜 www.htzone.co.il/webview/102507/%D7%94%D7%AA%D7%95-%D7%94%D7%9E%D7%9C%D7%90-%D7%9E%D7%91%D7%99%D7%AA-%D7%A8%D7%9E%D7%99-%D7%9C%D7%95%D7%99-%D7%A9%D7%99%D7%95%D7%95%D7%A7-%D7%94%D7%A9%D7%A7%D7%9E%D7%94
Thanks!
Very frugal shopping. Nothing extravagant.
My Daughter in law orders on line....we just go to the market and shlep it home. My husband is careful to get meat from near the yeshiva. But we don't eat meat very often except Rosh Hashana or Pesach or when the kids stay over. If you want to buy the groceries and then have them delivered to you after you pay at the register that is called (Meshloach). and it is often free if you buy enough. Sometimes you have to pay but it's not so much. We don't have a smart phone so we go to the market and pay.
Why is your husband careful to get meat from near the yeshiva? That should not have any relationship to Kashrut.
How do you watch RUclips without a smartphone?
Why do you seldom eat meat? Money? Health? Ethics? Not trusting Kashrut?
Why does your daughter-in-law order on line?
Do you live with your daughter-in-law?
I was seriously thinking about this type of video the other day!! I’m not joking! I was going to comment soon that I would like to see a grocery haul video!! How crazy I saw it today!! I’m so fascinated by how other cultures “do” life! ❤ I didn’t hear in the video if you have the groceries delivered or do y’all pick them up from the store (already in bags)? I may have missed it if you said it. I still have not taken advantage of ordering groceries online. Walmart does it here and lots of grocery stores. I need to do it so I don’t make impulse buys and my kids don’t talk me into snacks for them!! 😂😂😂😂 And to save time! If this had been an option when my kids were really little, it would have been a game changer! Taking little kids to grocery store is not that fun! 😂 From what a friend told me, you order online and I think you drive to Walmart and you go to a certain side of the building and they put the groceries in the car for you! Is that how things are done in Israel? But I’m so picky with my stuff! With produce, I dig through to find the perfect item! I will pick over various boxes (like cereal) and make sure none are damaged or messed up. I get the milk from further back on the shelf. Yes, I’m one of THOSE people!! 😂😂😂 Thank you for posting this!! I loved it! I hope y’all have a wonderful Hanukkah 🕎 !! ❤❤
You are so sweet! Thanks for watching and for your kind words! 🙏💕I totally had you in mind, I remembered you mentioned grocery haul in the past as something that could be interesting 💕 We get it completely delivered, they pack it and deliver it (up to our floor walkup also 🙄) Israel they have a similar option where someone can pack for you like you described or completely online and delivery like we do. Hehe yes your are one of THOSE people!! 😂 So were not exact sisters in that way❤ Thank you so much! ❤ Hope you are enjoying your time off!
That is awesome they deliver to the door! Such a blessing with a baby in the house!! Well, sisters don’t always agree on EVERYTHING! 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤ But we seem pretty close! ❤❤❤ Thank you! I’m really enjoying the time off! Love to you and your family!! Your friend, Karen
I think most people spend more
Absolutely! We try to be frugal, but also eat to eat nutritious food! Which can be expensive, like our fish 😜
I have a groceries/gasoline budget of 750 Euros a month for 3 people. I usually have something left at the end of the month. I could do with less (I did before) like 500 Euros. But we like to eat salmon, or have a nice BBQ with friends and meat is quite expensive too in the Netherlands. Sukkot snd Hanukkah are more expensive. So my leftover money is used for that. I do go shopping. There are always items at very low price that I can use. I am also old skool, I read the advertising brochures to prepare my menu. Shalom from the Netherlands 🇳🇱❤️🇮🇱
Thank you so much for sharing ❤️Very interesting! Ya friends and family is definitely worth the spend! Here fish is quite expensive, but we feel that is something worth splurging on... Shalom From Israel, Tamar 🇮🇱❤️🇳🇱

@@AmaliaMagenCohen I agree, it is addictive, right ?
Me too. There’s nothing even close in Canada.

You are so sweet, thank you so much!! 🙏 Wishing you and your family much love and a blessed year! ❤❤
I call her rebbetzin .. simply because I have great respect for her Tama is a very nice person.❤
Loved the break down. I’m in the USA we spend $1200 USD a month for a family of 8. I do think US prices are less than Israel except for maybe the produce.
❤❤ Absolutely prices in the US are less from what I understand.. someone here mentioned that eggs in Israel are probably the most expensive in the world! $1200 USD sounds like a great number for a family of 8! You're doing great! 💕

This was so interesting to me as I am planning Aliyah in 2025 BH' and have no clue of the prices/choices in Israel. That is the first thing I suppose we buy after we land, right ? I drink the same coffee, and use a lot of American kosher products here, not sure to find them there ? So Tuesday is "Shuk day, cheaper prices "? The cleaning wipes are way cheaper than what I pay here ! (in Washington DC) I like this kind of grocery haul videos as it really helps. Thank you for sharing Tamar ! Great video ! (In the next one, could you talk about inflation in Israel ?)
Hi. I was 2018 in Israel. Prices were extremely high. Everything. Especially in Jerusalem. So think realistic. If You have many good friends and family it could be a great choice. And remember its still war. Nobody knows the future. All the best to You. Shalom friend.
That is so neat!! 😎😊 Hope it all goes very well, be-Hatzlacha💕 I do have a video down the pipe about aliyah advice 💕
You need to resurch the stores in your area for quality and your comfortable access and pricing. The dry goods are different from fresh pitta, bread, baked goods, meat, chicken, and vegetables and fruit. I try to have dry goods delivered and take the bus downtown with a wagon on weels for fresh stuff with a list I prepared in advance, mealplaning. Some also factor in different kashrut levels. There are big supermarkets with huge parking lots, there are groceries in every neighborhood and there's the shuk, the farmers market. The locals usually know what's fresh and good. When you make friends ask them about their habits. It's also alot of trial and error. There are also catering services in the weekend. In general, before the holidays and towards the weekend, the best fresh produce is available. The food here is one of the perks living here. You are going to explore and enjoy yourself tremendously.
@ thanks for your message! Yes, I guess my first move will be “exploration” ! And it will indeed be a huge change in the way I live my life and eat from here in the US. But I already have a pretty good idea. I also have a small cart, very convenient, will have a car also and will be close to a Rami Levy (in Baka). I should be fine after the exploration ! Happy Hanukkah !
@@karlschreiber9286I was there last summer- comparable to Canada
This was so interesting! I see you buy a lot of fruits and vegetables. I don’t know what the weather is like there, but do you have community gardens? I feel like that would be a great thing for any community. We have a smaller back yard but in the spring and summer we like to grow vegetables in raised beds. Living in Israel are the foods mostly kosher in the stores? I know here in the U.S. we have labels that indicate whether the food is kosher. Thanks for sharing this with us!
wow community gardens sounds lovely! Is that common where you live? We don't have that where I live, but some do grow some in their yard or raised bed. In most of the chains (including rami levi and supersal where we buy) everything is Kosher, which is great! If you go by a more strict kashrut, you will need to pay closer attention to the labels, but we go with the regular Kosher Certificate. Thank you so much Jamie! Great hearing from you and hope you are well!
That's a lot of מלפפונים ❤
Israelis eat lots of salads .
😄
Wow !! Groceries are so much cheaper in Israel than in the UK !! We spend around 2380 NIS per month but there are only two of us !! Your vegetables are a lot cheaper & much better quality. Thank you so much for sharing this - very interesting - almost wish I could persuade my husband to make aliyah - I miss Israel very much !! Be safe & stay strong ❤
Oh wow! That would be amazing! Maybe in the Future💓 Thanks for sharing Judith! ❤❤
Why do you miss Israel? Are you from Israel?
