I'm going off you Gary: everytime I see you eat something half-decent, you make me hungry. Now I'm starving! That entire meal looked incredible: proper, authentic dishes, beautifully cooked, & they looked, at least on a par, with that Michelin starred curry shop you went to. It's certainly cheaper & you can bring in your own booze, too. What's not to like? I love garlic, so it's a 10/10 from me. Looking forward to your next video, mate, though I think I'll eat first? 👍 PS, just noticed you've topped 70K subs. Well deserved, here's to the next 70k 🍻
Hi Gary, I live just around the corner at Harrow Place and been there many times. It's a place we go back to time after time, the food is impeccable, the service is impeccable and the prices are great for an up and coming area. First time I went there was in 1999 and it's still one of my favourites. We usually always sit upstairs as it a bit more quiet and relaxed on a weekday.I think I have had the whole fixed menu and I love it. If you go there once, you'll always go back, it's that good. I will always give them a 10 out 10 as it both nostalgic and fabulous food, so I am a bit biased. A huge congratulations on reaching 70k subs and for another fantastic review. If I knew you were in the area, I would have come down to say hello. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and speak to you soon.
Here I am, munching on toast (breakfast time) and you're enjoying those lamb chops! They would've sated my appetite! 4 beautiful chops - I struggle to eat two tiny ones! Another great review. Thank you for taking us places we might never get to go ourselves! xx

Yet again what a good find in London Gary. Reasonable price for the area and some really good meal items. The chops were the star, only slight downside was the sag aloo which is my go to veg dish. Congrats on reaching 70K subscribers.
OH MY GOD, TAYYABS finally, you are great Sir Gary, really appreciated ♥♥♥ Its abs packed packed after 6PM. THIS IS DEFO my fave video. Everything Sizzles there. The LAMB is marvellous. The only warning everyone is that you may need to Dry Clean your apparel next day LOL ♥♥♥
Yes, def one of the gems of east London, well known with the city workers, like you said always packed to the rafters each evening. You can never go wrong with Tayyabs !
I went to Tayyabs many years ago and loved it. As a teacher in East London, lots of my asian pupils recommended it to me and I wasn't disappointed. Top quality food and a great atmosphere. Unless it's changed since I went there, you can't book a table so the queues to get in can be vast. You got there early which is to be advised. Also, it didn't have a licence to serve alcohol so you had to bring your own to drink. May be different now. Anyway, great video 'as always' Gary. I was salivating over those lamb chops. Mmmmmmm!
Congrats on passing the 70k mark, mate. Been watching you from the very beginning, and couldn’t be happier about your success. Another great review. Cheers, Gary!
Hi Gary Another super review. That looked really good and I would have given it 9/10 as well Agree you always need rice with Indian curries as it seems something is missing as you don’t and I always have a plain Nan because a garlic one can over compete with all the other flavours. Definitely enough for 2 there with those amazing looking lamb chops being the star of the show. Congrats on reaching 70 thousand subscribers mate!
Wow what a review, those chops looked absolutely delicious my kind of starter exactly what i would if ordered infact your choice of food is precisely what I would of ordered as my favourite mains is chicken karai as it contains tomatoes, peppers and onion, got to admit probably the best Indian restaurant I have seen you review if I didn't live to far away I would go there next weekend, definitely a 10+ from me, and over 70k subscribers you'll be getting 100k by July/August which would be totally fully deserved as your the best by far on RUclips, well done Gary, cheers mate.
(456) My minimalist order: One veg Samosa; Saag Paneer, Tandoori Nan. Really good food deserves to be enjoyed; completely empty plates and serving dishes are the greatest compliment a chef can get. Super upload, Gary. Glad you found the lamb chop love of your life!!!
True Gary, that place deserves a visit just but not only the lamb chops. They are really incredible and for me, 9,95 quid is a plus. All in all those 41 quid should feed easily 2 guys. Congrats mate for this one🤙
Oh my goodness Gary, that is some superb curry house. The price is very reasonable for such superb food, garlic Naan, chicken, rice, you were indeed in heaven. I am off to England to my daughter( real fish and chips) look forward to seeing where you have been when I come back. Stay as happy as you always are.
Another excellent review, Gary. I've been visiting Tayyabs on and off since the early 80s when it was a Friday lunchtime trip from the City. Used to be a small place on the ground floor on the left but expanded into the two adjacent buildings. Usually go for a selection mixed grill to start followed by the Dry Meat (Tayyabs lamb signature dish) and the Saag paneer with a plain nan. Recently took an American friend visiting London a month ago and he loved it. Staff always efficient and friendly and there's an off licence next door for your drinks.
Good late evening Gary just got in from an Al Murray gig. Its my hobby going to comedy gigs all over the place since my husband passed. I am wide awake and spotted your vlog so once again Thank you. Wow what a huge restaurant. Chops look great and so reasonable, Naan looked great too and the other dishes. You certainly looked like you enjoyed your meal especially the chops! Great vlog again Suex
@@GaryEats Al Murray was so funny, saw him few weeks ago and seeing him again in couple of weeks. Booked the gigs and then they added extra dates so booked more forgetting already booked but really like Al so clever. Glad you loved the chops x
Another tasty upload Gary, the food looks fantastic. I have to say Gary that I really like your jumper. If that was on your merchandise list with the slogan " I do love my mushrooms " I would buy it.
I'm a fan of Karahi myself however I choose Saag Paneer as a side, I do like my squeaky cheese :D I've recently discovered the delight that is a curry by the name of Lababdar. It is a delight and really reignited my love for curry. I wonder if you see it on the menu sometime when you next go for a curry that maybe you should give it a try. Thanks as always for your fantastic review and content, Gary :)
Oh, that brought back mouth-watering memories. I lived down the road in Stepney Green in the early Noughties and Tayyabs was the place to go for a great Indian meal. Never ever saw it as quiet as it was for your visit! Always a massive queue, but worth the wait. Fantastic food and very reasonably priced. I used to go to a gym nearby and always remember during Ramadan the Muslim lads would come in and do their workouts in the early evening. They were all starving because they hadn't eaten all day, so as soon as the sun went down they'd be out of there and over to Tayyabs to refuel!
Another top notch, mouth-watering review, Gary. I'm just amazed that you are not 25 stone at this rate! Must be doing lots of running between those restaurants 😅.
Gary excellent review. The food looked good especially the Lamb Chops.............Lamb and Beef are my two favorite proteins and I would have been happy with the chops as my meal. Enjoy your Weekend........Cheers.
I love any restaurant that only charges corkage, so you can bring your own wine. I'm not a drinker, but often I'm with people who do and it makes for a merrier party all around. The food looked blooming delicious even on the menu. And just droolworthy when it arrived at table. Wow! I'm giving it a 10/10 based on the look of the food and the feel of the restaurant and I hope to eat there soon to check things out for myself! Great review!
Gary I watch all your video & this is the first time I have actually been to the place! What was more strange was that I sat just behind where you sat. Great place . It should of been a 10 as you can take in your own drink without a charge.
First I thought they had given you Pork chops by mistake? They were definitely chops, rather than the normal cutlets! Never seen spinach ground down like that, but if it improves the flavour, so be it! As you said good value for two! Thought you had given up the poppadoms? Costing me money Gary, just ordered a curry for delivery, made me really hungry! Chicken Jalfrezi and Sag Aloo with a peshwari naan, cheers! 70,000+ subs your getting there! Keep 'em coming!
Congratulations on reaching 70k subscribers, Gary!!! Richly deserved. I think you're guilty of giving out some tough love here. It's a definite 10 out of 10 from me every day. Given that you doled out a ton of your trademark Gary "WOW's" during the course of the video, as well as a load of "I'm impressed" throughout, I was shocked at your overall 9 out of 10. Come on Gary, let's give Tayyabs a 10 for the Lamb Chops, the Chicken Korahi and especially as there was no service charge. 😊
I watched this at teatime Gary and guess what ?..yes I wanted yet another curry after watching review. Amazing lamb dish - mind you I liked the lot ! Appreciate you can’t always do Indian reviews but they are my favourites , keep up the good work Gary.
Great video thanks Gary. Did you know the original spelling of curry was “Kari” which referred to the sauce. Good value for money at that price. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Kari is actually a yellow coloured vegetarian dish made from yogurt, chickpea flour and spices. You can add potatoes and onions in it or pakoras which is Punjabi style, or Gujarati style which is a thinner version with just garlic and spices.
@@nigel8499 You can get all kinds of alternatives, however they are just that and should be stated. Nowhere on their menu do they state any of their dishes are vegan, they have a vegetarian section though. Considered, how most Indian cuisine is cooked, it would be difficult to cater to the vegan requirements.
Another solid review Gary. A fair score, nice to know these places are available. The lamb chops looked top drawer and terrific value (if I go there I will order two lamb chop starters). I never order rice, more attracted by naan or chapatti, all personal, all selfish. By the way, you got a mention on Simply Whitby today. Maybe you should reach out to Simon on that channel, I suggested this before you visited Whitby but you didn’t (and I didn’t expect that you would). Maybe you should now. All the best. David
Thank you David, great lamb chops for sure and I will speak with Simon next time we visit Whitby and did notice on his video him and the customers talking about the video we done so that’s really appreciated 👍
My partner and I visted Tayyabs last night. Luckily I had booked a table because even at 10.30pm it was packed and people were queuing down the street. We had the Popadoms, the Chicken Karahi, the Tandoori Naan and the Pilau Rice. If it hadn't been so late in the evening we would have ordered the tarka dahl as well. It was all delicious and we wished we had brought some cash with us because they said that they could only accept a service tip if were in cash. We brought our own wine and were delighted that they did not charge corkage. All in all it's a knockout reataurant.
Great environment, great service, no service charge, top food, good portions, should have been a 10. Nothing could be faulted. You cannot really complain about garlic being on the garlic naan. I have been to many places where the garlic naan did not have enough garlic so it is a good change from the norm.
Firstly congratulations on 70k 🎉 Where do I start ? That lamb ! What a portion ! On a skillet too 👌🏼 The saag aloo and chicken on the bowls they’d have been cooked on. 10/10 from me Gary
Now this is my perfect winter food in Islamabad ! 4 huge chops , chicken handi & saag aloo + the very garlicky naan ! And the prices are very reasonable indeed ! Instead of the papadoms I would go for some fresh salad to help with the digestion of all the heavy meat & oil in handi !
That looked awesome Gary, congratulations on the 70k m8 i remember saying congratulations when you hit 10k not long and you will hit the 100k, keep up the good work sir and thank you.
Hi Gary, Through watching your channel, we went to Tayyabs, to celebrate my Birthday, as the food looked so fantastic, and it was. I had those lamb chops, along with the chicken tikka masala, with pilau rice. All was fantastic. As an earlier in the day treat, we also visited Goddards Pie & Mash shop in Greenwich, which I also really enjoyed. You can imagine by the end we were completely stuffed, but very content. Many thanks for all the reviews you do, as I will be trying other restaurants you have given the thumbs up. Regards John
I love Tayyab’s. I see people complain that it’s not as good as it used to be, but I feel that it’s just as good as the first time I visited 20 years ago. Better, actually, since it’s so much bigger than it was then. On my first visit (it was half the size in those days) the line to be seated snaked around and through the dining room.
@GaryEats its just a tourist trap these days. It hasn't been any good for about 20 years now. Definitely better areas in the vicinity to eat, which is where the locals eat.
Lamb chops are probably my favourite Indian dish, and they looked heavenly. Mouth-watering. Terrific review as always, Gary. I'm still waiting on the Fortnum & Mason afternoon tea review. 😊
Ooh, those chops looked amazing. Great value too as you’d only normally get a couple of small chops for a tenner. I do love a good curry, and that looked like a great meal from there. Great review Gary. Can’t wait for the next one.
Stab me vitals Gary, those lamb chops looked incredible: and what marvellous value for money the whole meal was. Another restaurant to consider visiting or treating relatives to as a Christmas gift.
Bloomin'eck the size!!!! It must have different time zones 😂 Your Lamb chops, are in fact proper chops and not as so often served cutlets. Fantastic finger food. Wow what a fine array of mains 😊. A vibrant looking meal. Each dish carries ingredients that blend into a succulent offering. As you know i'm not a spicey curry type of guy, but I appreciate your verdict on this type of cuisine. If you didn't share with CTP I hope you got him a takeaway 😅 Another solid video, with many faceted views of this jem.Cheers both Allan&Family

Harold I’m pleased we have the same tastes and I really appreciate your lovely comment take care and see you soon
Saag paneer (Palek paneer) ....channa masala...daal makni .....chicken vindaloo....rice...raita....naan (roti) ...and a kingfisher beer (or 2) to wash it down...😉
Great choice and this one I really enjoyed 👍
True Gary, that place
deserves a visit just
but not only the lamb
chops. They are really
incredible and for me,
9,95 quid is a plus.
All in all those 41 quid
should feed easily 2
guys. Congrats mate
for this one🤙
Thank you very much Paul this is definitely one I’ll visit again and again
Oh my goodness Gary, that is some superb curry house. The price is very reasonable for such superb food, garlic Naan, chicken, rice, you were indeed in heaven. I am off to England to my daughter( real fish and chips) look forward to seeing where you have been when I come back. Stay as happy as you always are.
You have a fantastic trip and regards to your daughter Anne see you soon 👌😊
Another excellent review, Gary. I've been visiting Tayyabs on and off since the early 80s when it was a Friday lunchtime trip from the City. Used to be a small place on the ground floor on the left but expanded into the two adjacent buildings. Usually go for a selection mixed grill to start followed by the Dry Meat (Tayyabs lamb signature dish) and the Saag paneer with a plain nan. Recently took an American friend visiting London a month ago and he loved it. Staff always efficient and friendly and there's an off licence next door for your drinks.
David you know this restaurant far better then me but I’ll be definitely returning especially for the lamb chops WOW 👍
How was Al Murray Sue? The chops were the star 🌟 on this one absolutely fantastic
@@GaryEats Al Murray was so funny, saw him few weeks ago and seeing him again in couple of weeks. Booked the gigs and then they added extra dates so booked more forgetting already booked but really like Al so clever. Glad you loved the chops x
9 out of 10. Massive place. Looks really nice. Another excellent and very entertaining video. Thank you for your fab video.
That’s so kind thank you very much
I’d give that a 10 , Gary! Looked great, I wish that the tv had smellavision!!
It was amazing 👌
Another tasty upload Gary, the food looks fantastic. I have to say Gary that I really like your jumper. If that was on your merchandise list with the slogan " I do love my mushrooms " I would buy it.
Unfortunately it’s not John sorry and thank you
I'm a fan of Karahi myself however I choose Saag Paneer as a side, I do like my squeaky cheese :D
I've recently discovered the delight that is a curry by the name of Lababdar. It is a delight and really reignited my love for curry. I wonder if you see it on the menu sometime when you next go for a curry that maybe you should give it a try.
Thanks as always for your fantastic review and content, Gary :)
I’ll take a look as I’ve never tried and love trying different dishes so thank you Larry
I did go very early Justyn and I know how busy it gets especially in the evening 👌
Another top notch, mouth-watering review, Gary. I'm just amazed that you are not 25 stone at this rate! Must be doing lots of running between those restaurants 😅.
lol I’m doing plenty of exercise 😳😊🤣
On looks alone and your comments, this review is now in my top 5, the lamb chops were definitely a 10+
Brilliant chops Chris absolutely top drawer
That looked to be an excellent Indian restaurant with the lamb chops being the highlight.I am envious and would give it a solid 9.5
Thank you Paul it well worth a visit especially for the chops
Would definitely give those lamb chops a try. Well done on reaching 70k subscribers. Well deserved.
Very kind Nigel thank you
Another great honest review, im more of a fish and chips bird but that did look very good, thanks Gary and camera man
Thank you Debbie this was very very good
Gary excellent review. The food looked good especially the Lamb Chops.............Lamb and Beef are my two favorite proteins and I would have been happy with the chops as my meal. Enjoy your Weekend........Cheers.
Thank youn Daniel and I hope you had a great weekend
Hi Gary, congrats on passing 70k….onwards and upwards mate!
Thank you so much
I love any restaurant that only charges corkage, so you can bring your own wine.
No corkage fee here which is excellent and great lamb chops, finally thank you so very much 👌
Gary I watch all your video & this is the first time I have actually been to the place! What was more strange was that I sat just behind where you sat. Great place . It should of been a 10 as you can take in your own drink without a charge.
I’m pleased you know it well Andy an excellent restaurant
Brilliant video as always. 3000 views in the first 30 minutes after posting it. Legend :)
That’s very kind and appreciated
Yes, another Gary Eats. Best food/restaurant review channel around
Thank you very much 👌
First I thought they had given you Pork chops by mistake? They were definitely chops, rather than the normal cutlets! Never seen spinach ground down like that, but if it improves the flavour, so be it! As you said good value for two! Thought you had given up the poppadoms? Costing me money Gary, just ordered a curry for delivery, made me really hungry! Chicken Jalfrezi and Sag Aloo with a peshwari naan, cheers! 70,000+ subs your getting there! Keep 'em coming!
pork in an indian restaurant hindu
@@littlebunnybunny I know, I was talking about the size, not trying to insult!
Thank you I’m amazed how the channel has grown, definitely lamb chops and more importantly how was the curry ?
@@GaryEats Smashing, thanks for asking!
Thank you Graham that’s much appreciated, I did give it 10 🌟 for the lamb chops however the sag aloo was the point deduction 👍
I watched this at teatime Gary and guess what ?..yes I wanted yet another curry after watching review. Amazing lamb dish - mind you I liked the lot ! Appreciate you can’t always do Indian reviews but they are my favourites , keep up the good work Gary.
That’s very kind Dave and if I could I’d eat them all the time my favourite
Great video thanks Gary. Did you know the original spelling of curry was “Kari” which referred to the sauce. Good value for money at that price. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Thanks for the information Alan I didn’t know that
Kari is actually a yellow coloured vegetarian dish made from yogurt, chickpea flour and spices. You can add potatoes and onions in it or pakoras which is Punjabi style, or Gujarati style which is a thinner version with just garlic and spices.
Nice video Gary. You should have asked them if they serve Phaal and then you could have given it a go. Lol. The lamb chops looked delicious.
Micheal never again lol 🥵
my boss who is a Vegan always goes for their Paneer which is out of this world !!! You are the wonder
I doubt they're vegan if they're eating Paneer.
@@JayTheDodoyou can get vegan paneer, fresh soy, coconut, and other plant extracts.
I’ll give that a go one da6 for sure
It’s excellent Jane. Glad you had a good time 👍🏼
Thank you Gary. I love your content. My youngest son told me about your videos.
Your son is a diamond, thank you
Great environment, great service, no service charge, top food, good portions, should have been a 10. Nothing could be faulted. You cannot really complain about garlic being on the garlic naan. I have been to many places where the garlic naan did not have enough garlic so it is a good change from the norm.
I took the point off for the cost of the sag aloo 👍
Firstly congratulations on 70k 🎉
Where do I start ? That lamb ! What a portion ! On a skillet too 👌🏼
The saag aloo and chicken on the bowls they’d have been cooked on.
10/10 from me Gary
Thank you Dan, I took one off for the sag aloo price as you could get the lamb chops for exactly the same price
"it's very deep and...green"
Reminds me of a bad night in Bristol.
Bless her.
lol very good Pauline
Now this is my perfect winter food in Islamabad ! 4 huge chops , chicken handi & saag aloo + the very garlicky naan ! And the prices are very reasonable indeed ! Instead of the papadoms I would go for some fresh salad to help with the digestion of all the heavy meat & oil in handi !
The chops were amazing Waseem
That looked awesome Gary, congratulations on the 70k m8 i remember saying congratulations when you hit 10k not long and you will hit the 100k, keep up the good work sir and thank you.
Thank you very much Jason it’s staggering to be honest 👍
Them lamb chops looked like pure heaven Gary
I agree Nicola pure indulgence
CONGRATULATIONS GARY 70.1 SUBSCRIBERS AMAZING

The Alan Partridge of food reviews. I do like them though the Rules one was really good
Thank you I think Dennis lol 😂
4K a go go. Super sharp video here. Great review as always. 70.2K subscribers!!!! Congrats. Building every video!
Very kind and appreciated 👌👍
Hi Gary,
Through watching your channel, we went to Tayyabs, to celebrate my Birthday, as the food looked so fantastic, and it was.
Regards
John
That is fantastic to hear, John and thank you so much for letting me know
l keep saying to my family "lets give it go " 😃Love your channel
Thank you Caroline that’s really funny 🤣
Mr. Gary, I see the sense of humour is still live and kicking! Lol 😆 6:06
Thank you lol 😂
Amazing thank you for going love curry video price spot on for that food. I will dream about them lamb chops
Me too Daniel
Will give that a try soon! Excellent as always, Gary. 100k will be just around the corner for you - well deserved!
That’s very kind 5hank you and definitely worth a visit
I love Tayyab’s. I see people complain that it’s not as good as it used to be, but I feel that it’s just as good as the first time I visited 20 years ago. Better, actually, since it’s so much bigger than it was then. On my first visit (it was half the size in those days) the line to be seated snaked around and through the dining room.
Adore this Gary. If you can compare it to Lahore Kebab House in Whitechapel soon that would be sensational. Love the channel!
I know it well Martin I will visit very soon
Lets Give it a Go is now over 70.5K !!! Well done. Please try City Spice Brick Lane next ?
City Spice is awful. Bland, small portions and overpriced. Probably worst indian/bengali food I have ever had.
Thank you. I'll give Brick Lane a miss as I had a very bad experience there a few months ago
@GaryEats its just a tourist trap these days. It hasn't been any good for about 20 years now. Definitely better areas in the vicinity to eat, which is where the locals eat.
@@donnienlefty Where would you recommend please? Thank you
i knew this channel would do well and i'm not surprised. It's very easy watching and Gary is a star. If u havent subscribed, let's give it a go....
That’s so kind Paul thank you 🙏
Brilliant as always, Gary, and Indian food is on my top list!
Thank you that’s really kind
Gary, OMG, that looks absolutely an all round winner!!! Price, quality, service - taste, by the look on your face, haha!!!!! Yum, yum, yum!!!!
Beth it was absolutely delicious 🤩🤩
Congratulations on 70,000 subs 🎉🥳🍾🎈

Thank you Rosie that’s so very kind and appreciated
Ladies and Gentlemen a moment of appreciation please for Gary's upload rate! Hardest working man on RUclips 👌🙂
Thank you that’s very kind 👌
Lamb chops are probably my favourite Indian dish, and they looked heavenly. Mouth-watering. Terrific review as always, Gary. I'm still waiting on the Fortnum & Mason afternoon tea review. 😊
You could be waiting a while need the bank balance to recover lol
Always good to see you getting your chops around your lamb chops Gary. Excellent curry house… excellent review as usual thanks Gary & cameraman😘
Thank you very much as always Carol I really loved the chops on this occasion 🌹
Ooh, those chops looked amazing. Great value too as you’d only normally get a couple of small chops for a tenner. I do love a good curry, and that looked like a great meal from there. Great review Gary. Can’t wait for the next one.
Thank you Steve unbelievable chops WOW
Those chops, oooo la la, lavly
Absolutely
Many congrats on getting to 70k. You throughly deserve it Gary. Cardamom pods. A veritable land mine to the pallet!
That’s very kind and appreciated
Licking one's chops comes to mind.I give score later and hope that you enjoy. 10 of 10 + or -.
Great chops for sure
Stab me vitals Gary, those lamb chops looked incredible: and what marvellous value for money the whole meal was. Another restaurant to consider visiting or treating relatives to as a Christmas gift.
That’s a great idea as they won’t be disappointed
Bloomin'eck the size!!!! It must have different time zones 😂 Your Lamb chops, are in fact proper chops and not as so often served cutlets. Fantastic finger food. Wow what a fine array of mains 😊. A vibrant looking meal. Each dish carries ingredients that blend into a succulent offering. As you know i'm not a spicey curry type of guy, but I appreciate your verdict on this type of cuisine. If you didn't share with CTP I hope you got him a takeaway 😅 Another solid video, with many faceted views of this jem.Cheers both Allan&Family
Thank you Allan I understand it’s not for you but you still watched which is very kind, the cameraman was a happy chap on this one lol 😂
Hello Mr Gary, hope you have been well, My Friend! Somehow you end up at all the places I was planning to recommend to you. Lol 😆 Ikea restaurant, Veeraswamy, and now Tayyabs! Whenever I hear anyone mention Tayyabs, the first thing they say is have you tried their lamb chops!! 😋
That’s because the chops are outstanding 👍👍
