Just got into amigurumi a month ago. Boy does the little yarn make my painful joints hurt even more lol. Starting to make chunky yarn projects and much easier on my hands. Love the video especially how you mark for the eyes that makes things sooooo nice! Thank you for the video it is a weekend project so I'm off to buy tarn tomorrow. Thank you for this tutorial it's great.
That snake head is adorable! I've decided to use your tutorial to make my yearlong 2024 project, of a Temperature Snake...thankyou so much for sharing.
Pmg thank you for commenting this I wanna do one that tracks chronic illness symptoms and wanted to make sure it would still look OK with the extra length Thank you!!
I got into crochet a month ago. I just made a pair of socks and I’m wanting to try amigurumi. I live the way this snake looks :) I’m excited to try and make this
Finished my first one. Used bernat blanket yarn. It ended up at 168 cm or 5 and a half feet long. Got same yarn in a different color for a second then getting the 5 weight yarn like yours to make more. They are so cute. Thank you for sharing this video.
I just wanted to thank you for a fantastic tutorial. I have now made 5, yes 5 plushie snakes and even if I say so myself they look good ☺️☺️ 3 of them were for my Grandchildren ( one of them is 21 😁) and the other 2 for my neighbours grandsons. All very well received. Now I’m on the lookout for my next project xx
Help I did not know it would be this big. Over all, still happy I am having a big snake. I just need to buy more yarn....(I got the last one not knowing I can’t find anymore 😢)
😂 I am dying of laughter as I type this because I just finished following the pattern up to about r22 and my snakes head is so derpy! Poor thing looks like he had a time coming into existence. 😅
This is so cute. Im making mine with a 4 weight year so its not going to be quite as big but thats fine by me. I do have some white and blue blanket yarn in storage I believe and if I can find it I might just make a big, soft, stripped snake. Thanks for the tutorial.
If youre like me and want a little tounge poking out you could tie a string to the center of the head(where the magic ring is) and pull it through to the side facing outwards. Cut it however long you want but i thought it was cute.
I made this one for my grandson and he loves it, b ut he got ahold of the eyes and pulled them off. So I've taking the snake apart to redo. How do I keep the safety eyes from pulling off?
I’m trying to basically double the amount of stitches in this pattern because I’m using worsted weight yarn, so i did 12, 24, 36, 48, 48, 60, 60 but I’m kind of stuck from row 8 on. Is doubling not quite possible?
How did you make your snake so bendy? Mine is just a straight line, like an uncooked spaghetti noodle. I can’t seem to get him to bend at all and he’s stuff pretty lightly. Please help!
Sc is single crochet, inc is increase which mean two single crochets in one stitch and dec means merging two stiches into one to make it smaller or tighter
I keep messing up when I get to r9, I'm supposed to have 36 stitches but I keep getting 38/39, does inc x2 mean to increase in one stitch then increase in the next stitch? I'm so confused
Just started crocheting and I did this as my second project ever. It came out to 6 ft long but the tutorial was super beginner friendly. You only need to know how to single crochet, increase, and decrease. Thats it. The snake comes out super cute
I'm thinking you did same thing I'm doing right now using bernat blanket yarn. Although I may be wrong. Her yarn is a 5 weight bernat is a 6. When it comes to the end I'm thinking mine will be over her estimate of 49 inches.
Its not complicated at all. Only uses single crochet, increase, and decrease. I did this as my second project ever and it came out great. Super easy to follow once you know the basics

@@izzieee18 omgg yes it's going good! x

How long does the snake take in total i just began today and im only at row 7.😂
It's about 120cm 😊
I’m trying to basically double the amount of stitches in this pattern because I’m using worsted weight yarn, so i did 12, 24, 36, 48, 48, 60, 60 but I’m kind of stuck from row 8 on. Is doubling not quite possible?
Why you double the stitches? Do you want make it bigger by using worsted weight yarn?
@@danielleldesigns yes it’s a thinner yarn so I didn’t want it to come out small compared to the thicker fluffy yarn
At least I think worsted weight is the correct term? It’s weight 4
Try use double strand to make it bigger.
Complicatedknots explaines how to double the patterns (RUclips)
I’m having trouble finding this yarn, any help or other yarns I could use?
Please make a crochet tutorial on a unicorn
which row do the eyes go in? i think between 9-10 but im no 100% on placement
i’ve got a 3 day road trip ahead of me, gonna keep going till i run out of yarn or the car stops
How did you make your snake so bendy? Mine is just a straight line, like an uncooked spaghetti noodle. I can’t seem to get him to bend at all and he’s stuff pretty lightly. Please help!
Try adjust the hook, it's difficult to bend with tight stitches. Or try use velvet yarn, more soft.
@@danielleldesigns I see. Unfortunately, I’m 60 rows in so it’d be a big waste to start over. Any tips? I used Sweet Snuggles Yarn.
Adjust your tension and hook, also make sure you don't see the stuff through the stitches. And about the stuffing, try something soft and squishy :)
Hi, can you please tell me, how long is the snake?
Hi, it's about 125cm, but you can adjust the length you wish. 😊
How many spools of yarn did u need for this
Can u do a bit smaller one? :) the head is too big😅
Can someone explain to me what Inc and Sc mean? And how do the numbers work? Im a beginner so i have no clue
Sc is single crochet, inc is increase which mean two single crochets in one stitch and dec means merging two stiches into one to make it smaller or tighter
On Round 6, I don't understand the sequence of: (3SC, Inc X 6) to equal 30 stitches. Can you please explain a little further what you mean? Thank you!
(Sc 3, inc) × 6
means sc in the next 3 sts, and then Inc on next St, now you have 5 sts, repeat this pattern 5 more times, so the total is 30 sts.
Me who almost cried because idk what im doing and need serious help
How many grams of yarn did you use?
I keep messing up when I get to r9, I'm supposed to have 36 stitches but I keep getting 38/39, does inc x2 mean to increase in one stitch then increase in the next stitch? I'm so confused
Inc × 2 mean Increase in the next 2 sts. 😊
Is this like beginner friendly cus my only experience w crochet is an after school class I took in 1st grade
Just started crocheting and I did this as my second project ever. It came out to 6 ft long but the tutorial was super beginner friendly. You only need to know how to single crochet, increase, and decrease. Thats it. The snake comes out super cute
@ thank you! I’ve made a few other things by now and once i get some more yarn I’ll def try this
I'm on row 25 right now and my snake is sticking straight out its not falling at all is that normal I'm stuffing it lightly too!!
If the stitches are too tight, they will also make your snake not as soft.
@danielleldesigns ok thank you! It's on row 31 now and it's starts to loosen up like yours!
How do i do the head in a smaller version?
Does the yarn size is 5 on your video?
Yes, it's size 5 on the yarn label.
I really really really really really really really want that😭😭
What is yearn called?
It is chenille yarn / velvet yarn
I took my stitch marker off and forgot to put it on ugh 😅😢
Same, it was right after I did the head. I honestly just took a best guess.
Bạn dùng hết bao nhiêu cuộn len?
About 3 balls, 300m, 300g
why do I get holes when I do decreases?
Try the invisible decrease.
I get holes too! I think my tension wasn't tight enough or something. Idk
Can I sell the finished product? Not the pattern, can I sell the stuffed snake?
Yes, you may sell the finished product. 😊

If the yarn says 8mm why use 6mm?
To ensure the stitches are neat and prevent the stuffing from being visible within the body.
