Very cool! I might need to pick one up to use with my 705.
Thanks so much! Very informative video. Perfect for the IC-705.
Thanks for the ideas
Very cool toy thanks much , have to look for one at Huntsville
Aloha Bob, this M5 Stack looks amazing!
I hope one day that this will work on my Xiegu G90, that I have been enjoying a lot lately with these excellent band conditions over the last couple of months. I built an antenna that gives me an SWR of 1.0 before tune and have been making long distance contacts on one watt only.
I’m hoping that radio manufacturers start building all modes portable HF rigs of 100+ watts for POTA’s.
Like thousands of other hams, I thought the new IC-905 was going to be a 100 watt version of the IC-705. Icom’s roll out of the IC-905 was just super bad timing for doing POTA’s has gotten so exciting and the amazing current rage among hams right now.
Have fun at Disneyland, I use to reside right next to Disneyland when I owned a home in Anaheim and could watch the nightly fireworks show from my backyard jacuzzi a few decades ago.
While you’re there, there is an HRO Store right on Euclid Street near the 5 Freeway that you can really spend some money if you have anything left after going to Disneyland. 😂🤣😂🤣

Ordering today thanks
Thanks Bob
M5stack ordered. looking into a bluetooth serial module so I can interface the ci-v on a 7300, seems mums the word on how to do it.
Hi Bob, Please give the detail for getting it mist it some how and Arnel detail as well ,Thanks, Pieter
(link to the stuff)
I need to try this!! Also maybe a Bluetooth adapter on my 7300 to Bluetooth to it 73
Bought 2. one regular, one Fire. Now I wait. 😁
Not sure if you have the top of your chicken coop covered with chicken wire. If not, your local Coopers Hawks will be paying your chickens a visit. Great video for the M5 Stack, I am going to try it.
I just put a metal roof it before we took off CA.
Great looking chicken coop. free (almost) eggs.
Most expensive eggs ever. How many can I buy for $1200?😂🤣😂
I want that!!!!
$50 bones and a few minutes of work.
Under 8gb SD
Had to go into BT settings and hit Pairing/Connect for this to work. Not sure if you mentioned that, didnt see it in his notes either.
Both my returns functioned by the micro sd readers didn’t
@@K6UDA Not sure what that is, glad it worked!
The bluetooth settings I mentioned are in the IC705 menu Bluetooth -- Pairing/Connect
Hey Bob. Is the analog meter choppy when the needle moves or is it smooth? I’ve seen older versions of this that were choppy. Thanks and 73.
So far it looks pretty smooth.
@@K6UDA Thanks. I saw the guy from Zumspot at the Orlando Hamcation and he showed one using an M5 stack that had the same looking analog meter as what comes with the ICOM 7610. I don’t know where he is on that project but that looks pretty promising too.
How does this work with the 7300 since the 7300 doesn't have blue tooth or wi Fi? Perhaps it just offers programs but doesn't interact in real time?
I believe the 7300 does have BT. I think.
Just outta curiosity are there any apps for the m5 stack that work with any xaigu radios?
And then I see the comment by Digital Dreamer..... Le sigh.
Kind of looks like there’s a lot of stuff going on with the M5 stack so it wouldn’t surprise me.

SORRY Kuda, posted comment on wrong video 😅😅 stay up playa 😎 N6ThC
What comment? Inquiring want to know.
Make sure to use a 8gig or smaller SD card or it won’t work. I ripped my hair out for an hour messing with a 32gig card.
Oh jeez. Maybe thats my problem. Wow, just WOW!
BOB, what happened to your show...
RUclips doesn’t recommend it because I took some time off when I moved. I’ve got a years worth of stuff you can binge
Hope you buried the chicken wire at least a foot on all sides to keep digging critters out...
I wood love to have one for my icom 705 Ke4hpq
