I read the blog pst explaining why you made the change from the app store. Having been in similar situations with software my husband wrote, but being at the mercy of our national post office and dozens of couriers, I understand that feeling in the back of your mind with each update. His software is still helping people five years after his passing, with minor updates as needed. It is an honour to meet you, and my first use of PopClip was while writing this comment!
Thank you for sharing this - I immediately installed it, found the extensions and grabbed the ones meaningful to my workflow. I tried not to go TOO overboard until I'm more used to using it. I KNOW I'll find this gem of a tool very useful.

You know what I just realized? The iPad has grammar check in FB messenger (it underlines in blue) but not in pages. Please tell me pages as grammar check on the Mac.
Yes, it does. I'm not sure whether it's on by default and I've just switched it off, but to make sure it's on you choose the Edit menu, then, Spelling and Grammar, then Show Spelling and Grammar. It gave me some options about choosing the language I wanted and I think you may have to select those before it will do anything.
@@WilliamGallagher too bad there’s no grammar check for pages on the iPad. That’s the only one feature I want for iPadOS 18. That and unlimited battery life.
@@WilliamGallagher it is on there, but it’s subscription based. I prefer to just have it in one app though. I wish you could get Mac’s in any stores. I’m going to wait until June to see how the Mac mini is, if they announce it. Then one way or another, I’ll have one by the end of that month, even if it’s the lowest one. As long as it holds up long enough for me to edit my book.

I’m amazed that I’ve never even thought of it. I imagine you can get Grammerly for iPad; would that help?

The Mac mini is superb. But don’t get the base model, it has too little storage.
