  • Chiang Mai is one of my favourite places in Thailand. I've been here countless times. Each trip, I always discover something new in this ancient city of Northern Thailand.
This time, I flew here with Vietjet. Nowadays, Vietjet flies to several destinations in Thailand from Suvarnabhumi Airport, so it is easy for international visitors to connect to their preferred domestic flights. There are great promotions and the service at the airport is quick. On the aircraft, you can select your seat with only a small fee. And, look what I chose this time. The seat is spacious, you'll be guaranteed a happy flight to Chaing Mai.
I love this place. I feel like coming back home. It is so green, so peaceful, even if it is right in the center of Chiang Mai's Old Town.
    Location
    - Tamarind Village is an awarded boutique hotel.
    - Short walk to Three Kings Monument, and Temples like Wat Chedi Luang
    - Right at Sunday Night Walking Street. (Tha Phae Gate Walking Street)
    Uniqueness
    - The entrance is like a bamboo tunnel, giving you a feeling that something special lies ahead.
    - Hallway between buildings reminds me of 700-year-old Wat U-Mong in Chiang Mai. Along the hallway are displays of Lanna arts. Art lovers will be impressed.
    - gigantic 200-year-old tamarind tree taken care of by a professional arborist or tree surgeon. This tamarind tree makes me feel that, actually, humans can create things around nature, not replace it. I would like to give big credits to the architects and all the people who have taken care of this place.
    Architecture / Atmosphere
    - Lanna Style exteriors and interiors. (Black and Brown colours)
    - Lush Green Tree
    - Nice swimming pool well connected to the lobby.
    - Souvenir shop has a variety of local products from many communities in Chiang Mai. Many products of arts to choose from.
    Room
    - I am a wooden furniture lover, especially those of colonial or antique styles. Most of the furniture in my room is stand-alone and unique.
    - Eco-friendly hotel : Glass bottles. No plastic.
    - Coffee cups and water mugs are well designed with local materials used.
    - Towels are hung on bamboo ladders. Friendly to our mother earth.
    - WORKATION : I love the wooden table and bench in the middle of the room. I can work on my laptop here or just relax or even welcome guests to my room.
    Food
    - I love Northern Thai dishes especially Khao Soi. And, Khao Soi here at Tamarind Village never fails to impress me. So so good!
    - Other Thai dishes are also delicious. But more importantly, the fresh ingredients are from local markets around Chiang Mai.
    Activities
    - Thai Massage .. I love Thai massage because it helps reduce pains of office syndrome.
Hope you enjoyed a boutique stay with me in Chiang Mai. Stay tuned for more videos from Thailand. Please subscribe!

i heard on this tamarind tree boutique hotel right after my favourite food vlogger called Mark Wiens stayed at this hotel with his family. you should also try out its signature and unique vegetarian red curry using the locally grown avocado as its main ingredient accompanied by the lychees and also the vegetarian version of phad Thai noodles. i remember mark's son, Micah enjoyed dipping himself in the swimming pool there.

Thank you for sharing! Wow! I met Mark a years ago. We were speakers in a travel event. Also following his works regularly. He produced great videos. Micah and Khun Ying also accompany Mark in many trips.
Hope to create more videos in the second half of 2022 ;)
