It's so great seeing your journey throughout the Bible! It has myself very excited for when I journey into the entire Bible starting January 1st. Very cool breakdown of Nehemiah, and it has myself looking forward to reading the Old Testament for the first time. 😀
I have read Nehemiah and Ezra quite a few times. I have a Bible called “The Open Bible”, it gives the background and history of the books of the Bible. It states that Ezra is a continuation of 2 Chronicles. The Septuagint calls it the second book of Ezra. They share the same historical background. I used to skip over the genealogies, now I read them. I came to see how the Lord knows us and our ancestors by name. Continue your quest and do not give up.
In the Tanakh, they're bundled together into one book. I was surprised to see a Jewish website that was like "the 24 books of the Hebrew Bible" and so I clicked through and learned something!
I don’t know if I’ve said this yet but, since had been reading only the Bible for many years, it takes me forever to read other “normal” books. If I read fast, I feel like I’m skimming.
The return of the exiles (Ezra, Nehemiah, and the related books of prophecy) is my favorite part of the old testament! I also think of Nehemiah as the OT Chuck Norris. (Jumps down to yank the beards of the men doing commerce at the city gate on the Sabbath.) He is one of the first people I want to talk to when we get to Heaven.
I would suggest a reading of the book of Judges. There is a definite pattern to the lives of the nation of Israel that also applies to our own lives and our own struggles with sin. The wall and the temple built by Nehemiah and in the book before of Ezra are fulfillment of many prophecies. But even in those fulfillments they are still only a looking forward to the perfect completion in Jesus.

Keep studying 😊 to maybe help you a bit maybe...my understanding is that a lot of the prophecies about Israel might have a dual fulfillment or still have a future fulfillment (which I think you mentioned). For example, some returned in Nehemiah, but the Northern Kingdom (all tribes except Benjamin and Judah) still remained in exile. Israel never really did return as a complete self governing country. At the time of Jesus there were a lot still living in what they call the Diaspora ( some Bibles call it the Dispersion. See 1 Peter 1:1 and James 1:1; that's who they are writing to) Then in 70 AD the Temple was destroyed. The land changed hands again and again. However, Israel became a nation again in 1948 and the Jews are slowly returning home. Someday they will get that new heart and follow after their Messiah and receive all those blessings God promised. To me, the Old Testament can be so sad because of their disobedience, but then again so beautiful in those promises yet to come. (Loved your video)
A lot of people read Nehemiah actually.
As a source of endurance and faithfulness in the face of adversity

I normally read Ezra and Nehemiah together as one book.

Don’t know what church or churches she has been in but I’ve heard Nehemiah preached from several times before.
I think reading Ezra-Nehemiah is really important for understanding the Hebrew Bible as a whole, not only the prophets, but especially Deuteronomy.
Ester também...🎉
Muito bom 👍 isso.
Saudações do Brasil.

Neemias nós dá muitas lições de nunca desistir e vigiar e não confiar em palavras bonitas
Oxi, aqui no Brasil amamos Neemias
Make more videos about the Bible please
Só na tua terra que não falam de Neemias, porque no Brasil até fazem campanha baseado em Neemias.
É verdade! Até cheguei a pensar que ela poderia estar falando de algum livro apócrifo rsrs.

@ thank you 🙏🏼
I'm shocked that people don't read the Bible. Then it's as if they discovered a mysterious plot twist in the Bible 🤣
Nice to see you've got a Chess board!
I messianic, so we read all of Scripture.
