I had never heard of Frussia before, and having an Orthodox German means having a German Tsar. Now, that would be interesting. Like the reference you made on Dr. Seuss and the fun alternate history fanfiction you made, Monsieur Z. Please keep up the great work and keep making my day better! Here are some interesting ideas for future Alternate History videos: What if the death and exile of Catherine of Aragon sparked higher tensions between the Kingdom of England under the Royal House of Tudors and the Holy Roman Empire under the Hapsburg Dynasty? Some historians speculate rumors that Henry VIII poisoned Catherine, but doctors did an autopsy on her, discovering she had some sort of stomach cancer. Catherine of Aragon is the aunt of Charles V for she was the sister of Joanna the Mad Castile for she was Charles V's mother and wife of Philip I of Castile, father of Charles V and son of Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. Catherine is also a relative of the Hapsburg Dynasty through her sister's marriage to Philip the Handsome. She was popular with people, including the English nobility and peasants, for she served as an ambassador and was intelligent and educated. What if the rumors were true, and what if Henry VIII did, in fact, poison Catherine? If the rumors were true, how would the people react to this? What about Mary Tudor? Would Mary plot her revenge against her father? Would she seek help from the English nobility or start an English Civil War to depose her father? What of the Hapsburgs, including Holy Roman Emperor Charles V of the HRE? How would they react to the news that Henry VIII was responsible for Catherine's death? Would the Hapsburgs form an alliance with Mary or straight up invade England? Who do you think would come on top? Which countries take sides, and the victor wins this Anglo-HRE War? What would be the consequences of it? How would history change? What if Joanna Elisabeth of Holstein-Gottorp ( the mother of Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia) had returned from her exile from Paris in 1760? In some historical context, Joanna was a lousy mother to Catherine. She favored her younger brother, Frederick Augustus, Prince of Anhalt-Zerbst, the last ruler of the Principality of Anhalt-Zerbst. Joanna had returned to exile instead, dying at the age of 47 in Paris, France. What if Joanna Elisabeth made herself regent for her grandson, Paul, the future Tsar ( Emperor) of Russia? Catherine's relationship is somewhat bitter, for she dislikes him and favors her other son, Bobrinsky, over a loving relationship ( Catherine is someone else in her eyes). Prince Grigory Grigoryevich was a favorite companion of Catherine, a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire ( 1172), a state and military figure, a collector, a patron of arts, and a General-in-Chief. But with Joanna as regent, would Joanna be the mother figure Paul needed from his actual mother, and would he have a bonding relationship with his maternal grandmother? Could this lead Joanna to manipulate Paul and resent his mother? And is it possible for Joanna and Paul to stage a coup and depose Catherine of what she and her lover, Prince Grigory Grigoryevich, did to his father, Tsar Peter III? Would Joanna be the one ruler behind the imperial throne, or would she be the ruler she wanted to be? Is Joanna possibly betraying Paul and making herself the new Empress of Russia? What would history be like with Joanna Elisabeth of Holstein-Gottorp being the regent of the future Tsar of Russia, and what would the Russian Empire be like under her control? Which ideas do you like best, Monsieur Z? Which do you like and why, and which would make a great alternate history video?
