I never buy things too early due to the fact people have done that and wound up with a product that no longer worked like when the 360 came out people would buy those things early and ask me when I was getting one and told them when it matures enough and then here come the complaints that the units got a ring or overheated but yet the one I got that came out years later is running just fine due to the issue being fixed in that model.

They are not ready to send the replacement instead they are asking us to buy a new one
It was a press release where they said they would send a free replacement. It should cost you nothing.
