Hey guys, if you see someone telling you to contact me for a prize via Telegram, ignore them please. They're scammers. I don't have a Telegram account. Please report them as well, and help fight against their highly unscrupulous methods.
cant believe someome tries to steal my kuya by scammers
Not sure why RUclips allows these spammers on literally every video I watch.
Thank you
Can you record with steams?
Hey DJ carlo. My name is DJ Machado Flow. I'm a blind 14 year old DJ, and I also use a mac book pro 16 inch. It was donated to me through someone. WHen I started djing at 11, I had to use my mom's window's lap top. you're right about the small delay when using serato and stems. It's weird, but it works at least lol.
Still waiting for rekordbox to implement that feature soon in 2023
Pioneer DJ has something up their sleeve for sure hehe
Yes can’t wait!
In like 4 years I bet lol. And then it will be part of monthly plan only I bet ya
Is it in the works!? I started using traktor because of stems but love everything else about a rekordbox
Idk, I went to a pioneer forum and they acted like they weren't going to get on it. They were actually kind of smug about it.....
I like STEMS, but it's definitely still unstable. I don't see it replacing EQing tho, but it makes accapella mixes a lot easier to grasp.
Yeah, it's still on open beta, so there's still a long way to go before Serato really finalizes the build
Exactly, the ability to remove the kick, while leaving in the hats and snare is a necessity. Now if it separated each drum sound, separated acid lines from synths, etc., it would be a game changer. Maybe one day instead of selling a master wav file, well be sending out all our separate trax that make the song, then mixing will get crazy. It would be more like your own abelton live set with others people tracks.
But i still love the idea of being able to remove a vocal from one track, so the vocals dont crash in a mix, or the ability to remove the melody when the new melody comes in.
Well, I just downloaded Serato 3.0 today and ordered the Rev1, time to learn and practice…thank you Carlo!
Btw I was using stems in VDJ but stood using Engine DJ on my Mixstream Pro, but now going to work on Serato. Wish me luck!
Really excited to see what you get out of the Stems Benny!
I'd like to see how their patches are going to improve the analyzing algorithm. As mentioned it does a good job for the most part but having to go through songs to see if the stems are pulled well and planning a set around that restriction is not something I want to do.
Indeed! Hence why I'm also waiting for the final build before I really take 3.0 out on the road!
Virtual DJ implemented this in 2020.
Yup! They started giving everyone a run for their money!
4:35 what are those track names!
The hottest tracks at the disco! Hahahaha
Question is, can one use track from the online playlist of beatsource, spotify, as they are already linked in serato. Can one create stems from tracks on this streaming platforms?
Yes you can! Amazing integration!
Btw I think the quality of stem separation is not dependent of the file, but on the mastering effect. It is very hard to isolate stems when there is compression.
That’s true also. Step separation depends on a lot of things!
Also I forgot to say, most of the DJ's play the pre-master of the song. So you might be lucky.
@@migats2160 where do they get the pre-masters of the songs?
@@snubdawg1386late reply, but probably dj pools
That's where you're wrong. The stem seperation really depends on how many elements are in the track. I seperate to play around almost all the time at home, and I use my own mixex since they have sweeper fx like white noie. And it drowns the vocals sometimes if it's over them.
You guys do realize, Virtual DJ has had this feature for quite a while. And it was free, just like everything else you have to pay for with Serato is free with Virtual DJ.
Yup, I've been hearing about it since they introduced it Meade. Though I've also heard that Serato has tried to improve their STEM system over VDJ and Traktor, so we'll see how that plays out!
Is EQing dead?
Join the Beta and try Serato Stems for FREE

EQing will never die. This feature is great for acapellas or cutting cheezy vocals off a track. Can't wait to play around with it either way
No
when will you do a nurmak party mix live video?
someone try to scam me from your name. I`m sanding you information in instagram
does VirtualDJ do Stemp seperation earlier than Serato? I think since late 2020!
I think there should be a way for producers to deliver stem separated tracks. So, not separated by AI, but made by the artist as they intended it.
Serato could label it 'Stem Ready' or something
That'd be interesting! I remember that back in the day, multiple 12" singles already had instrumental, acapella, etc versions of the song on them, but that'd be up to the record label to decide. They should bring that back for the digital age.
Native Instruments facilitated that with their Stems Open File Format in Traktor back in 2015 and VDJ supported it as well, but didn't catch on. But now maybe when they see what DJ's do with it, it might get a new boost.
@@redresonant9296 yeah since they invented it, i'm hoping traktor will finally do something innovative now that stems is catching on
It would be so seamless if you could put the og stems in place of the AI separated ones so you press the same button to access them if that makes sense
Even if the sound quality isn't the best here and there, I'm much more interested in the techniques we can pull off with it at our fingertips!
Exactly! The main thing is you arent gonna wanna play vocal stems alone. Too much extra bleed on most tracks. But outside of that, most listeners wont hear when you are blending stems together and you can still use real eq and filters to mask much of the shortcomings of stems. This is so exciting.
Yes exactly! The future is bright for forward thinking DJs!
The cool thing all the songs you couldn’t mix before because of vocal clash is now possible.
For me Stems is game changing. I have messed around in vdj off and on for the past 18 months or so and I find it really releases a ton of creativity. But as I'm only dabbling nowadays I couldn't justify the outlay for vdj when the serato / Roland 505 combo serves me so well in just about every other way.
Using stems creatively gives me a buzz I've not felt since I first started dj'ing in the late 1990s.
So I maybe alone here. But I was really excited to hear that Serato has joined the real time stems party, I mean genuinely, really excited.
The only other thing I'd like to see is: shift then hit a stems pad, to instantly solo that one stem.
You're not alone there! Believe me
1. I think Serato can collaborate with Izotope on this on because, what if, Rekordbox does that collaboration to create their own stem seperation thing? Because Izotope has an actually solid Machine learnt algorithm for Stem Seperation (Music rebalance in Izotope RX) because it has done so many iterations and so many repetitive Learning over the years and stuff and their stem seperation is way better than anyone elses's.
2. Stem Seperation will be better to act on than EQing only when you are mixing two tracks in such a way that you want to play the vocal acapella of one track on top of the break of the other song (many DJs do that during TML sets). Otherwise, EQing has its own place during mixing songs or during Intro-Outro or Drop-Intro or Outro-Drop mixing.
Good takes on it Chokstar!
how is rekordbox leading the industry without this? i need those echo out vocals so bad because my eq needs some work
😂
The next question is: is this the start of a big migration from RekordBox to Serato??
Very good question there haha
This is for the family people. This RUclips is very informative, you guys need to listen DJ Carlo and take notes
Just because you get gig opportunities doesn't make you a pro DJ. Skills, abilities and your mental record crate do. If I take your setlist put it on Spotify and it sounds the same as your live set, you're not a DJ, YET
You must learn to mix, blend beat match and cuts, then you can move on to more advanced things like crowd control or harmonic mixing, scratching etc.
Appreciate the kind words buddy! I try to cover as much as possible with the channel!
As a long-time user of VDJ - welcome to stems, Serato people :) I exclusively mix in this way, and have done for a long time. It really revolutionises the way your mixes sound. As Carlo says though - be prepared for the fact that you will need a beastly machine to do so nicely.
Thanks man! VDJ is the fore runner when it comes to technology, so I'm glad Serato has finally adapted it! Yes a strong computer is needed...huhu. But technology will always march forward, so we always have to be upgrading!
Ha ha ha I went down the comment looking for this comment ...
@@djcarlo Competition is the best! It pushes them to try harder. We benefit the most :)
Haha...one positive of the economy being in the crapper is graphics cards have come down a TON in price
Stems is your excuse to build a new PC lol
@@jamesparker7016 Absolutely. Sadly most of us can't afford one even now haha.
Now that’s a game changer alright. To be able to use this on the fly is endless. Unfortunately I’m a rekordbox user. Just have to wait to see what happens.
Once you stir the pot (which VDJ did in 2020), things start to happen! So let's see what RB comes up with next
Nah, VDJ is still the go-to for me... After using VDJ, Serato's UI doesn't make sense for me.
Also, VDJ has this for a while now, I guess it's named as VocalFX
They have the cleanest stem separation, admittedly!
2:10 wait, is this song repeatedly saying "Martincitopants"? I'm probably mishearing it.
Let me see those hands, haha, but now I kinda hear it
Is EQ dead? That's a Hell No! I have a feeling the Rekordbox will not go the STEM route. In addition, in order for the STEM to work, you must have Serato and use your laptop. What if you are not able to? You better have a backup flash drive so you can play on the Pioneer DJ system. I know there are a number of open formats and streaming DJs have Senato will be using it. I'm glad for them. Since this is in beta mode, you can't use it out to a gig. I say Pro DJs who gig at venues and festivals may use it because they would have to bring their laptop and if you have a 1 or 2-hour set, you simply don't have time to set up your laptop just play on Serato and use STEM. No promoter is going to let it fly. Since I use RB, I don't have a desire to purchase Serato just to use STEM. That's just me.
That's one way of looking at it Antoine!
Nice tracklist 😁! and nice vid too! :)
Thanks Hris! Hope you're excited for STEM too!
@@djcarlo I indeed am, been mostly a Rekordbox guy, but this update really make me consider this 🤣
The possibilities for mixing vocals and beats, you never thought of, are endless. I've tried a few. Heard a country vocal over a hip-hop track... 👍👍👍
That’s wild dude! Having fun is the point of it all!!
Yeah. It’s made it real easy to blend genres
After 4 years using Serato, just moved on Rekordbox
Serato should improve pitch, couse even moving for 1-2 beats, track lose deep of sound
For real? I've never noticed that at all
@DJ Carlo Attendido what version of “Levels” is that you’re playing in your sample of stems in the beginning f the video? By the way, thank you for your take on this newest feature from Serato. I appreciate it.
For sure! I couldn't wait to talk about it haha
@@djcarlo things are truly getting interesting as I can see companies attempting to implement manipulation of this feature on a hardware level with dedicated controls. So back to my original question if you don’t mind? What version of “Levels” by Avicii did you play in the beginning of this video? Is it from the Record Pool you mention that is a sponsor in some of your videos?
Had to "unstem" all my tracks (which took 18 hours to analyze 500 tracks) because the increasez filesize made the opening of these files taking additional 3 seconds or sth on serato
Hence my warning towards the end of this video. They will make everything a lot heavier
A few said it best. Best way to get quality is leave the drums and acapella while removing melody for easier key mixing also.
Absolutely! Exciting ways to play around with music!
When is pioneer going to make a controller like the ddj wego w with the flx6 and the ddj 800 futures all pack in the ddj wego w sides with the og wego w color leds i love to see it Pioneer DDJ Mobile Pro 🥹🙏🏼✌🏼
This could probably happen early 2023 or mid 2023! We shall see. It's due time for a refresh on those units!
In my opinion, I think that the fun of eqs should not be interrupted in order to show the skills of djing it is the joy of djing
over time what will happen?? will they make a robot who mix music by himself ?? I wouldn't be surprised
Indeed! That's the difference between streaming services and actual DJs. The whole stem thing actually adds a new dimension to it all!
I would probably change the name of song #14, for a couple of reasons. lol
Lols 😆
I’m still using Vestax vci-400 .Is serato 3.0 software work with Vestax vci-400 ?
I'm not sure! Check out the list of compatible software on Serato's website
Can't test it as it doesn't work with my DDJ400
Wish Traktor could do this
Yeah this only works with Serato at the moment!
@@djcarlo these messages about winning something are they all a scam?
Nope. You need some amount of freqs in some tracks to make correction, may be not while mixing. So eq will be needed anyway
Absolutely! Can't wait to use both of them in conjunction with each other actually!
its not boss Carlo....lets back to the basic its the first and only use for all dj even on DMC competion....but the trends are change due to mellenial era....but its legend so its not issue for remove it or not use
The basics will never change, but new technology will definitely keep building up on it!
It blows my mind that everyone is falling all over themselves for a feature Ive been using in VDJ since April
Traktor has had stems, since 2016.
@@ricketycricket3242 those are traditional stem, not live efx separation, cleaner but u need a stem file to use it.
Why is that
And yes, there is a reason for those "top djs" #producers using Serato 💰💰💰 dumbest program. You must thanks them for not charging you this time. Enjoy stems separation, nothing new to see here.
Yes, but is it any good? hmm! VDJ has the first mover advantage!
So, now yall have time to talk about Stems.
But 2 years ago no Stems testing of Virtual DJ.
Hmmm.
Tbh, they never reached out to me to ask me to review it! I only found out about their stem tech waaaaaaaay later
Virtual DJ introduced stems TWO YEARS AGO. What's the big deal? 😎
Hahaha, it's a big deal for Serato users AND the DJ world since more and more programs are getting competitive with STEMS
my laptop got overheated , my boy... getting tired after 6 years living just because of stem
It's time to upgrade dude!
Will NA/Traktor get into this game?
They already have been! No idea if they'll continue or push it though
What is the avicii remix at 0:07 ? And im wondering when this will come for rb!
Found that version on Crate Connect!
@@djcarlo thank you
well that is what is tech for, keep on advancing, there comes a day when dj will be A.I. too
Gotta still keep that human element in there Bradford! Maybe AI will get close, but nothing can replace the human touch
Yeah nah this definitely wont be a game changer, as Virtual DJ has been doing this for a few years now
Yup! They stirred the pot with this one in 2020, so I'm glad a lot of other developers are catching up!
Um bro how can we pre-prep tracks to stem...did u mention it and I was high ,m 😜🤣
Same as normal tracks!
Thanks for the great vid Carlos. I also use VDJ and love it! It has had stems for a while now and it is great!
That’s awesome dude! How do those stems compare to this?
@@djcarlo VDJ allows the frequency equalizer controls to be full stems (full mash up control using 5 knobs). There are several options for advance EQ modes. I love it for when i want to just fade in or out vocals when mixing.
I’m excited about Serato 3.0 and I love BPM Supreme
Same here! Can't wait for the final product to come out!
Is it possible to this feature comes to Rekordbox with an update? 🤔
I’m sure Pioneer DJ is thinking of something!
Hit the nail on the head with your laptop capabilities, I’ve been testing beta 3.0 on a Sony with i5 processor, it plays Serato 2.6 fine but Stems is killing it, time to analyse a track can take minutes not seconds, so I’d recommend top end i7 processor or decent Mac Pro, otherwise expect to encounter difficulties.
It’s just another example of expectation outweighing reality.
Amen brother. We all need to upgrade to use this crazy technology!
Hi Carlo, how can I get version 3.0 I have version 2.6
Join the beta! Its linked in my pinned comment :)
This is since more than two years available on virtual DJ bro :)
Yes, and 1 year on Djay, but its still new for Serato!
They would probably improve the stems when the final version comes out
Yup! Hence the public beta now. I've seen some people already reporting a few issues
THE WAY HE SAID "GAME CHANGER" I thought it was some thing new in the art of djing, oooooh this has been around for ages in djay pro, vdj..😅🤣
SERATO USERS..
Haha had to my dude. Serato is more used than VDJ hehe
EQ should not be disabled (or should be toggle-able) with stems
Yeah, I completely agree. Both can even compliment each other
This is not groundbreaking… this is not new… I it’s only hype because Serato is finally catching up to the app people love to hate… I’ve been using this feature for a year now and yes you still need to EQ.
Absolutely need EQs moving forward! I'm actually excited to use EQs with Stems in the future!
@@djcarlo To me VDJ is stem king 👑 most hated Dj app but has been a beast Imo.
Man, my first intro to even trying mixing any music ever was Fuser. This honestly gives me a lot of the same feel and it's fun. I don't think it'll replace EQing, there's some fun sounds you can get with the right EQ and pass settings that don't sound similar at all.
I agree! It’s good to have options though l. Thankfully Serato makes this feature more approachable!
@@djcarlo Absolutely! It feels like another (really fun!) tool to perform with. I'm super excited to see what people can do with the feature!
For who using vdj, EQ died 2 years ago…I hope Rane and pioneer their battle mixers compatible 😞😞😞
Well, 3.0 is still on beta, so we'll see what happens next!
@@djcarlo i mean all the big battle mixers like the 72, actually have yet real analogic knobs…it means that when I try to use eq for stems it works but is disaster because also apply eq with unwanted consequences (like high extra volume!). At the moment I solved mapping the pad as beat, bass, melody, voice and hi-hat, but using the knob is better result. I hope rane can solve with a new firmware with an option where I can decide that analogic eq variation is zero. Otherwise I will buy the next model that day it will be released 😅
EQ'ing is never dead and you will still need to phrase correctly, etc but stem separation for me gives way more flexibility in between mixing. I'm a rekordbox user and have a DDJ-400 and I'd LOVE this for rekordbox one day.
Doing it on the fly on 1 deck > having separate components of the track in 4 decks (downloading 2-4 versions of the same song)
TBH Andrew, I do wonder if/when Rekordbox will try their hand at STEMs haha. Would love for that to happen too!
I'm wondering if he more meant "EQing is dead" in terms of isolating sounds when you're mixing, like trying to do a makeshift accapella by playing with EQs.
Whether or not DJs stop using EQ blending depends on the DJ and music style. I still worry more with stems that we'll see tons of DJs just make loads of mashups and remixes of old music, which means new music and new sounds will have a tougher time getting noticed.
Obviously Rekordbox has also done stems.
Everybody on back legs because of stems....Im not
I hope this update inspires more DJs to be more creative!
For real guys... I don't really understand the hullabaloo... Of this. few software's been out before like vdj. algorithm. It is good for serato.. Wana see rekordbox soon!!
I think this is the natural step for DJ softwares everywhere! I just hope this technology will get better!
May be the next gen pioneer controller is going to have a buttons on the pads selector to enable stems stems que stems FXs 🎉👍🏼😁
Yes for sure! I certainly think that the future of DJing is Stems!
I checked the specs and it doesn't work with DDJ400 😔
It doesn't, because the 400 is Rekordbox exclusive
I tried stems on ONEA song.....jumped away from my turntables and passed out from the endless ideas that's been running through my mind 🤯😮💨 this is going to be dangerously fun, can't wait to see and hear what people do with this when it comes out
It's super fun to play with!
it may eliminate some saved loops by removing vocals for added bars to mix out. hmm? endless possibilities for sure.....great vid yet again
Tons! I actually can't wait to see how creative people can get
with this not only is EQ'ing dead, Dj'ing is officially dead. too many easy way out buttons not enough skill nowadays in my opinion.
Fair opinion, but I disagree. To be a DJ nowadays, you need to embrace the buttons and find new ways to get creative with the music. That's how you stay a cut above the rest
@@djcarlo I agree everyone should embrace new features and flow with the times but at the same time were losing touch with what dj'ing used to be, sooner or later they will replace jog wheels with buttons haha. I work in an event hosting space and we had a wedding recently where the 'DJ' showed up with his phone, plugged it into speakers, sat it on his amazon basics dj booth and hit play.. £500 the people paid him, they were furious.
For Pioneer DDJ controllers… you can also use Parameter buttons to isolate vocals only.
Yup! Gave that a try before too.
Which software is that 3:11 in the video?
That's Neural Mix! Love that software!
@@djcarlo Well it's only for Mac so I can't use it
But neither VDJ nor Djay require any pre-analysis of the tracks, or storing of large files in order to pull off the exact same trick in real time. So Serato is not only late to the game, but they showed up with an inferior implementation to boot.
I believe the reason for the pre-analyzation is to ensure the quality doesn't falter.
EQ is never dead and will never be dead.. I see stemps as a way to be more creative and be a live performer.. you don't have to use stemps all the time.. it depends in the setting you are in... and even with stemps you need the EQ to make everything sound more smooth.
Ain't that the truth! We should view stems as an additional tool in our dj arsenal instead of a better version of EQing. Well said!
Spot on!
Meanwhile virtualdj been having this for a lil while now
Good for them! Such amazing software!
Good luck using cue points with this feature.
I mean, it technically still works the same
I doubt it does as well as DeMix who are updating to have more stem export options but it's interesting to see STEM tools become the norm especially in hardware. Stem separation is totally dependent on the Mix. I have separated thousands of stems for production music libraries, generally a very well isolated mix will produce stems that have less bleed from the main separations. The only thing missing from the stem game is a good stem mastering tool to add in some elements that stem separation removes from the various parts. It often confuses vocal highs with drum highs. Other elements aren't always clean and sound like fast volume fades occur to make the extraction. I have tried about 10 different stem tools but ended up with the one mentioned above. Additionally SpectraLayers is going to prove useful for serious stem adjustment and new creative frontiers in my opinion. There is more than meets the eye with these stem tools because it's a new pathway into sound design.
Indeed, it's hard to really get everything perfect with STEMs unless you have the actual master 8 track or whatnot. But hey, at least the common man can now get closer to isolation music! 😄
Use flac to get the most out of stem separation
Highly lossless, and great quality file type!
This is probably the most game changing technique added by software djying (since sync, maybe, despite its controversy). The algorithm is not perfect yet, but just like "master tempo" is reaching almost perfection, I do believe separation algorithm just needs a bit more development to be flawless. Nonetheless, it's already here to stay.
Absolutely Juliano! Really opens up the floodgates to a lot of great mixing possibilities!
Can we route stems to different outputs? So we can do 3D audio like Atmos but live.
Drums LR
Vocals C
Harmony Rear height LR
Melody rear LR
That WOULD be super cool! But for now, I don't think controller outputs allow for that just yet. You'll need a specialized set up to make that work
What are some good serato controllers to invest in for this?
If you wanna be cheap, the REV-1, and if you wanna be boujee the REV7 or 1000 SRT
I have a Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX and I’m running Catalina version 10.15.7 on my Mac. Can you tell me why the jog wheels are not matching up with the waveforms in Serato DJ light??
Whenever I spin the wheel back, there’s a delay in the software, and when I try scratching, there’s a delay in the software
Oh yikes, that's an odd problem bud. Never had that issue with my gear. Try checking your latency settings
Sounds good from Carlo but the word on the street about Serato STEMS is that it will beat up your computer! I have a 2020 MacBook Pro & I don't think that Apple is "all in" with this Serato upgrade at this time. I'm going to wait until Apple puts out a communication regarding Serato STEMS/Beta before I consider accessing it.
Yup, they take a good chunk out of your RAM. The M1 chips seem to be handling it well, but it still does take a toll
Game Changer? If by the game meaning industry. Change meaning not existing previously. Meaning...It did not exist in the industry before.
Serato being a DJ software. Then your statement Serato stems is a game changer is VIRTUALY false. Im pretty sure another dj software had this technology before, hmmm. lets see what was it called? The real game changer?
That was a very long build up lol. But yeah, it's a game changer still for those of us using Serato. VDJ and Djay had that in 20 and 21 respectively, but given Serato's open beta, I feel like even more will be done to enhance the stem mixing experience
For me my answer is NO. Stems for Serato dj pro 3.0 is a game changer. Empowering dj mixing styles to those djs who wants to mixin colab songs like mash ups without searching for a acapela or instrumental beats version. such as editing software can do the trick.
Absolutely! Especially for Serato users!
Why is this feature only being talked about now that Serato does it? Virtual DJ did this TWO YEARS ago. DJay did it not long after. It didn't kill EQing when either of those programs did it. When Pioneer inevitably joins the party late will people be once again reporting that DJing as we know is about to change forever? While I've used the feature to do some cool things, including making key changes less jarring, I don't think it's going to cause any sweeping changes. I think a lot of people are going to disable the feature to save computing power, which is something I've seen people recommend with VDJ over and over again since even mid range laptops can choke on the work load.
It puts quite a strain on your processors indeed. It really depends if it's up your alley of DJing or not
How is nobody talking about that transition at 3:14 😂
Bwahahaha, everyone loves the Lotion!
Of coarse EQ'ing isn't dead. If you were able to separate each drum and remove hats, snare, toms, bass kick separately, separate acid riffs from synths, etc, then maybe. Stems has a ton of uses, but it does not replace eq'ing. We still need the highs from a track removed, or the low end, not everything from each "instrument". Just depends on the mix, and what you are trying to achieve.
Well said bud! I do agree with you there!
correction VDJ changed the game. You can apply fx to stems in VDJ also and not limited to echo out.
That’s true but not majority of DJs use that software 😢
Come on rekordbox get a move on please. DJ app has had stems for ages. We need to see some super clean stems introduced into rekordbox haha
Although I will always still prefer getting my own acapellas, matching them up and gridding them correct etc. i can’t imagine a stem will be anywhere near as clean as an acapella. But it’s still a great idea for creative mixing, look forward to seeing it on RB
Indeed! Acapellas and instrumentals will still be the gold standard
More tools can never be worse. Just gives us more options. But EQ will never die. We still have vinyl…
Indeed Jason! The world of DJing is getting more and more exciting
Ya nd dont forgwt the clomputer cpu need to have AVX CPU..... what beginner djs not sure that have such a laptop or computer..... thats sad.
Yeah, that's why I mentioned that you'll need a fast processor here
Don’t get upset in feature toddlers can make music and play dj so easy and fun and you just want to have a Computer 💻 laptop 💻 it not hard and fun playing like many years back
It’s like automatic vehicle one leg do everything Boring they took all humans brain knowledge put in to a election box and reusing for a human in one touch people get too lazy
I don't think this makes DJing "easier" per say. It adds an entirely new dimension which can allow people to be more creative with their mixes, and really "play" with the music
Finally catching up with Virtual DJ..
Yup and that's a good thing!
It's pretty amusing all of the hype over stems just because Serato has recently decided to give it a crack when other software has had stems for almost 5 years now LOL
Lols, gotta agree there to an extent. That's why I did a stems mix with Traktor some months ago, but I'm glad Serato is finally hopping on board with this one too
Would you do a video on the Rekordbox stems? I don't think they're as good as the Serato sadly and I love Rekordbox better my computer crashed at a gig because of the stems:/
It's in the works! It's fairly recent, and I'm currently traveling, so give me some time there
Im a 2 decks and a mixer kinda guy,
Minimum effects and just fun mixing 😀
that's the best way to DJ! won't hurt to try this new feature right?
Ok. Oh hell ya! Nice video man, I'm not a software guy but always knew stems where a game changer. It will be interesting to see how the manufacturers decide which keys do what the fk.
Exciting stuff indeed!!
This is insane... I mix industrial techno and being able to isolate the drums and bass would be a game changer.
I have a DDJ-400 and I'm kinda too committed to RekordBox though.
Let's hope Rekordbox comes up with something soon!
Things are diferent...now i even see guys djing that dont even use headphones...
Thos tool can make us do great things and remix the musics live while performing
It's crazy isn't it? That's technology for you!
Eh, the quality isn’t that nice and separation isn’t accurate enough in my opinion. Would be nice if they worked with real stems from Maschine.
That's probably why it's still in Beta mode. Still a little bit of testing to go!
Virtual dj was doing this for eons.
2 years yes!
Since it's a Serato product it will continue to improve, but how would you compare this to a product like RipX? Cheers Carlo!
I'd say it's highly similar, but it's like comparing pears and apples. Similar at the core, but still different as a whole. I'll try to do a comparison on that in the future.
DJ Carlo, brother I don't think this is the end, after all DJ's have been using these features on different platforms as well as in preparing file folders and crates, I think this is just another tool in a Dj arsenal.
Indeed! 100% agree with you there buddy!
@.@ gonna buy serato controllers.
And new pc???
Ok Ill just stick with my ddj 400.
You can do that! Just remember the 400 is for Rekordbox!
4 decks, 4 songs, 1 stem for each song, 1 cohesive new track
Exactly! The possibilities are endless!
