- In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class12 we derived the formula for the electric potential at any point due to an electric dipole. The electric potential at a point is defined as the amount of work done in bringing a unit positive charge from infinity to that point. An electric dipole is the arrangement of two charges of same magnitude but of opposite nature, kept at a finite distance from each other.
At any point the negative and the positive charge creates some electric potential and the net electric potential at that point is the algebraic sum of those two potentials.
