US buyer here- came in a 2 pack… this one shown and a smaller one. Within one yr the large one shown here has a crack in the case from moderate travel- Samsonite will not warranty… hoping Costco will
Sounds like it has been given a hammering by the airline. You can claim against them at the airport. Once did it with Delta in Chicago. They brought me a new case out there and then.
Thanks. It seems okay, but not sure it's that much better than the many similar cases on the market from people like IT Luggage. Internally it's the same, wheels look the same. The lock is different, but suitcase locks are a joke and this is no exception as anyone with TSA keys can easily open it (or use a ballpoint pen). I wonder if it is easier to roll, or are you just paying for the name?
Hi Kuro. I had one IT luggage case, albeit a soft one, and it lasted about two trips before it fell apart, so I am reluctant to try that brand again. I doubt they are made in the same place as Samsonite don't appear connected to IT (albeit they are to other companies such as American Tourister). I have used these cases now on a multi stop USA trip and to go to Qatar, and apart from the fact the silver scratches fairly easily, they are otherwise holding up well. Worth the cost on offer at the moment which I think is £85 in the UK. Thanks for watching and commenting, it really helps the channel, as does subscribing. I am just about to hit 1 million views. Cheers. WW
Thank you for the info. I am interested in this set and want to get one at Costco. Overall dimensions of this checked case is 62.52" (29.01+20.51+13.00). Is this size before or after expansion? United Airlines allows 62" linear or under, and will charge $200 for oversized checked luggage.
@@joselynyom967 it’s a standard sized case. I’ve had no problems using with BA, Virgin, AA, Qatar, Alaskan, Jet Blue and Jet 2. I’ve never seen an airline measure a case on check in luggage to see if it is half an inch too big (suspect it’s after expansion to answer your question though). It’s a standard sized case, don’t worry. It’s quite big width wise but no more so than many cases, and it’s a bit shorter than the thinner ones so easier to get in trunks etc.
How are these holding up mate ? Looking to buy the Element XLT 2 piece set also sold from US Costco here, thank you for posting this video. It also has the TSA Lock, Hook, Ykk, and Waterproof compartment inside which I think is the best part alone. Wanted to ask, do you still use these bags and how are they holding up?
How is this case going ? I’m looking for a case and see this one has mixed reviews. I like that it’s polycarbonate. Negative reviews are saying it’s not as durable as regular samsonite cases are and something about it being a cost co special and parts are harder to get under warranty.
@@hotstapler3129 just using them yet again on a multi flight trip to Hawaii, and West Coast USA- no problem with them. Unfortunately my daughters more expensive American Tourister case broke on this trip within a year, corner where wheel is has fractured, I’ll replace it with another one of these.
A good review. But potential buyers should be aware that this luggage weighs an incredible 6.75kg which is easily 2x the weight of any other suitcase on the market.
Not sure if it is, I think (think) boxed weight is being quoted. It says on the box 6.75kg then also gave a net weight of 4 something KG (threw box away so can’t see what it was exactly) which I assume is the actual case. It doesn’t feel 6.75kg to pick up I’ll have to try and weigh it.
@@wakeywarrior did this come with a carry on as well? the one on sale now (in the US) is a 2 piece and its also called Amplitude 2.0 and the pattern on the exterior is a little different
It’s about 4kg. Normal weight for a suitcase like this. It is about 75cm high, 34 cm depth (expandable with a zip) and 47 cm depth. I have similar Trip suitcases. This is a bit deeper, but shorter so easier to get in the boot of the car.

Yes decent just back from Hawaii and West coast USA with them from UK
Did it come with a laundry bag?
Thanks for sharing
No just as you see here. Thanks for watching.

Checked weight- the 6.75k is with the heavy cardboard box. They are normal weight.

So, how much does it weight without the cardboard box?
Costco UK is doing it for £85 in the Black Friday week now. Not a massive discount compared to £89 five months ago.
Yes they are a good buy at these prices.
Does the luggage has double coil zippers? Thank you
Hi Jack - what does that mean? Let me know and I’ll answer. Cases are robust just taken them to 4 US states.
Can you please tell weight and size of the suitcase ?

How does the lock work? I don't see a purpose.
The lock is a combination lock that prevents it being opened.
How do u open the lock
It is 000 when you buy it and you set the combination by pressing in the little button with a pen.
