Good call re the Halloween camp - should be great fun! The Telemark is a lovely tent, especially in this lightweight two person variant. Hope you're enjoying the Hille mate, I'm sure you are. Thanks for watching.
Great content as per Chris, think that model of Nordisk is great, love that internal feature making the storage area bigger. Looking forward to your winter Vids always a great laugh mate, take care and thanks for sharing 👍

Thanks Leigh, it is indeed that spot! Mate, I started off almost 25 years ago with the most basic and budget of tents and gradually built things up - was very lucky to be gifted this by Nordisk - I did enjoy my earlier days camping equally as much - enjoy pal!
@@MCMOutdoors Nice one, thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm really enjoying it thank you, and your clips are a great eye opener and help, thank you, a long way off your expeditions and paying for sites atm, just getting a feel for it again. Awesome stuff!!
I really gotta recommend the food from the Swedish brand "Blå Band", amazing products. Their wilderness stew is to die for. Unfortunately being gluten intolerant I can't have the pasta dishes, but I hear they're great as well. Not the cheapest, but top quality. Superb content as always, man, really enjoying your adventures!
Great video and a top-spot too, nothing beats drifting off to the sound of a chuckling stream! Have you tried the Telemark without the inner-tent/cabin attached - does the risk of condensation/bugs/killer spiders outweigh the additional space???
Never tried it that way, to be fair I never would as I like to be within an inner tent. I guess it would work well though if you wanted to go even more minimal
Love that Nordisc tent, I just bought the msr elixir 2 so looking forward to giving that a go this autumn. The sleeping bag looks great I’m very interested in this for winter could you do a review video on it all mate?
Cracking job with the seam sealing Chris. I'ce yet to brave it. Need something/someone to practice on😝 I gather everybody's first go is pike a dropped kebab. How do I bypass forst attempt, so my beloved sil-ny tent still looks the pups plumbs?🤣
As usual always entertaining and informative content. As a newbie to camping is using the stove in the tent, even the vestibule ok? Given the weather didn't look like you had an option.
It's fine mate - just got to take care. People don't cook outside in the Himalayas! Need to ensure venting, stable base, no loose fabric which could blow into flame. Just basic precautions mate.
I usually like to eat spiders when Im camping. If there's a shortage I have a supply of military ration packs from my son. They really are nice. Went on a wild camp on Thursday ate beef stew and dumplings, then I did the ouija board and tried to find a witches coven.
Hahaha! Love it! Made me laugh that mate! Any joy with the witches? I've been single 18 odd months and will take anything I can get 👻😅 thanks for watching pal.
Well they were all over sixty. Knitted their own cardigans and had a look of Suzanne Boyle. I dunno how desperate you are but they all had false teeth which I suppose is a bonus if they take them out. Don’t reckon the lady gardens have been maintained for the last forty years though 😂😂😂
I do love my Svalbard, but the design means using it even in a British summer means it turns into a sweatbox inside if there's not a decent breeze. Been tempted just to pitch the inner a couple of times, but I know I'd be scampering about at 4am in my thermals putting the fly on in the rain 😂
Hi mate, just wondered if you get any condensation issues with the tent? I've just ordered the telemark 1 and am a bit worried about the condensation comments but i suppose I'll soon find out. Great video.
Alright Lee - all tents suffer from condensation to a greater or lesser degree, depending on the conditions. I've never had any major issues with this tent, no more than any other. The 2.2 has two doors, so I just ensure both are unzipped a little should the air temps require it. The two vents are also fine. Keep it tensioned regularly if you have the LW variant as all silnylon tents absorb some water and can sag - you always want to maintain separation between the outer and inner - hope this helps - and most of all, enjoy your new tent! 🏕️👍
@@MCMOutdoors thanks for the reply. I've been using the MSR Elixr 2 which is a great tent but was looking for something ultra light weight. Sunscribed 👍
I have the one man version of this and my main gripe is condensation. Is the two man version (with vents on both sides of the inner), any better? I appreciate the light weight though
Hi Thomas - I have never had any issues with condensation inside this tent. Bear in mind that condensation is an inevitable fact of camping, especially during cooler months when the temperature differential between the inside and outside of the tent is more pronounced; it cannot be prevented - some tents manage to alleviate it better with venting, but those where the fly extends to the ground, can suffer more - it's a trade off - especially on 4 season models. This has been fine for me. Hope that helps, you're probably aware of these things if you're a seasoned camper! ATB, Chris
@@MCMOutdoors Thanks. I have some strategies for mitigation. In Scandinavian summer this tent did OK. It was in winter when it was problematic. Camping on snow the inner became a wet rag. In hindsight I probably should have left the inner door open and the outer door half open. Unlike the Hilleberg Akto and Fjallraven Abisko Lite 1, the Telemark does not have venting at the foot and head end. I guess this is price one has to pay for lighter weight, as adding this feature would warrant more mesh and more zippers. The latest models I believe do have catenary cuts to maximise ventilation.
Yes, the version I have does have a catenary cut on the panel at the head end of the tent - not sure if you can see it from the video - but it allows good airflow through into the vestibule. You're right about the additional venting on the Abikso Lite 1 (I had one but had to send it back as it had rips in the inner), but the venting was excellent - especially in that it could be operated from within the tent, as opposed to the Akto. Enjoy your Scandinavian camps - beautiful scenery and excellent climate. ATB
@@MCMOutdoors well it’s actually really easy to put it in. I pull the bag out then grab the to head poles together then the two foot poles together then hold all 4 so tent is folded in half. I put 4 poles in pouch together then stuff rest in takes seconds. I tried doing it your way snd it’s quick but I have a fear of ripping tent on poles if just stuffing in outer bag. I think if you understand how easy it goes in to itself you might change. Or I suppose could remove the 4 poles that would make it go even smaller
Alright mate - it's a stunning little location. Hope you understand but I can't disclose it, especially on this platform as it's only small and has already been subject to some damage. Lots of nice places to be had with some exploration pal. Thanks for watching the video 👍

Oh boy that mist though, it was pretty darn spooky coming back mate, your footage after was equally as scary! What a nice relaxing camp you had though evern after all the scary thoughts and mist flying about. How good was my howling, damn I thought there was a wolf ont Moor! Haha. As always it was a pleasure to come and meet you for a quick tipple even though mine was veg soup haha
I see the witch has come down from Pendle Hill🤣 Tell you what, it's torture watching your videos when I'm off the booze! Speaking of booze (and camping) I have an interesting suggestion for you. Drop us a message on the Facebook group if you'd like to hear it 🍻😉
Word in the local community is that a man in a red coat was running downhill towards the car park screaming that a spider is chasing him and he wants his mam, smelt like he forgot to take his trousers down when he went to the toilet according to a local ...did you come accross him by any chance Chris ?
Mate this wasn't just any spider - like I said in the video, was a Brazilian Barking Brownback! They mummify their prey in the night and then string you up in a cocoon in the woods! :-)
Thanks for watching Mick. I've mentioned it a few times, no manufacturers routinely seam seal silnylon tents as they're mass produced from the factory. They can't be taped, as it does not adhere to the fabric, so it would have to be done by hand - for each tent. This would be cost prohibitive. Tarptent (just one example), are a premium brand which charge extra to have the tent seam sealed (by hand) as an extra. I hope this answers your question. Hilleberg charge just shy of a grand for most of their tents - which is an obscene amount of money in reality. Nordisk make PU tents which do not require seam sealing, as per other PU tents - with the added bonus of being more affordable. Hope this helps. ATB

JD always provides me with a bit.....unless I overdo it....the next day feels about as far removed from hygge as you can possibly get!! 🤢
We certainly do John, nice splash in the old hot chocolate was nice & warming 🔥 great little camp out 👍
Oh boy that mist though, it was pretty darn spooky coming back mate, your footage after was equally as scary! What a nice relaxing camp you had though evern after all the scary thoughts and mist flying about. How good was my howling, damn I thought there was a wolf ont Moor! Haha.
As always it was a pleasure to come and meet you for a quick tipple even though mine was veg soup haha
The walk across the Moor looking out for the hell hound mate! Hideous! Thanks for stopping by pal 👍
I see the witch has come down from Pendle Hill🤣 Tell you what, it's torture watching your videos when I'm off the booze! Speaking of booze (and camping) I have an interesting suggestion for you. Drop us a message on the Facebook group if you'd like to hear it 🍻😉
Did you see something mate ? What was it ?!? Haha, will do - or just DM me on Instagram - thanks for watching Benny
@@MCMOutdoors will do mate👍
Word in the local community is that a man in a red coat was running downhill towards the car park screaming that a spider is chasing him and he wants his mam, smelt like he forgot to take his trousers down when he went to the toilet according to a local ...did you come accross him by any chance Chris ?
Mate this wasn't just any spider - like I said in the video, was a Brazilian Barking Brownback! They mummify their prey in the night and then string you up in a cocoon in the woods! :-)
If it’s Good practice to seam seal sil nylon how come Nordisk don’t routinely do it? £600 that you have to seal!
Atmospheric Vid and camp
ATB
No midges whoop whoop
Best time for camping is this time - cheers Chris
I’ll be getting out again my self soon enough. I want to try a snowy camp this year too if we get any. Never been In the snow.
Snow camps are ace! Here's hoping!
I'd a really got a stand for that gas can
I usually take one - just forgot.
