I love how, the directness of the adaption makes every scene a bit awkward and surreal, but that level of faithfulness inofitself actually adds to the experience
Off itself is rather awkward and surreal itself so losing that would be a bit of a problem
I love the small detail of the miner Elsen holding his head while getting stressed about having to let the Batter into the smoke mines considering that high stress can lead to becoming Burnt, and Burnt Elsen having the key distinction of a geyser for a head
Ow the Batter's voice actor is not the same as previously, and I think that honestly, it is more "clear" like that. Great work !!! The effects are rad !!!
@@lysotroph Nonetheless, the French dub made by him worth it and is actually great ! However, he is just not enough prepared to dub an English animation, and the current voice actor fit better to the animation ; it is more "professional"
The Batter was taught more fluent English by the Judge.

I would critique the voice actors' performances in almost any other place, but i feel like for this case, the acting really does add to the feel of the episode. It really does capture the off-putting and disorienting vibes that Off gives off, in my opinion.
This was absolutely amazing in pretty much every regard, especially considering the fact that this was made by one person over the course of a few months. Props to you, and good luck with this series!! It's already shaping up to be amazing.

@@suethemarysue4969 oh yeah, it hit it's peak popularity way back in '13 when it got an english translation. It's been around since '08 though, originally just in french. It's sorta faded into obscurity since then, but it still has it's die hard fans here and there. I thought the fandom was completely dead, personally.

The Elsens sounded so freaking adorable!! The batter sounded cool and nonchalant. Dedan sounded like how I'd imagine him to sound too!! And the animation when he fought the specters was smooth!!! I can't wait for episode 3 👀

Is it just me or did OFF fall under the radar for most people, I mean it had it all, good storytelling, memorable characters, unique atmosphere, wonderful music, an amazing battle system and a shocking twist.
In my opinion OFF is a hidden gem, I am indeed saddened that there will never be a sequel, or at least something in the same universe.

As someone who played in french (the original version), they don't say "an important element", they say "the most important element"
BRUH THE VOICE ACTING WAS BRILIANT, the fights with the ghosts end quickly but Im fine with that, and the Elsens voice could have been just a little bit higher but other than that it was perfect. It captures the atmosphere of zone one perfectly and also has a pretty interesting take on Dedans design, loved it , would love to see more

i’m really loving the portrayal of the fight scenes. they’re paced a bit short, but i understand that there’s only so much a single animator can do. despite that though the visuals are fantastic, with the movement and the way the specters interact with the bat! i especially love the way the add-on moves and positions itself behind the batter too
I just finished watching both OFF episodes and loved them! I hope the series continues. Amazing work!

I didn't know about the revival, i've been meaning to get into it for a while, one day a friend asked me to get into it, and i had time, so I was like "ok" and watched Markiplier play it. This is the first I've heard of a revival, I'm elated by this.

I found you through your OFF animation compilation a few months ago and I was so HYPED that you made a teaser for an off series. The animation is so clean too. I was so excited when the first episode was released and I’m SO happy the video actually ended up gaining attraction. I think some really old OFF fans have come back thanks to this series! Keep up the amazing work! I cant wait for the premier.
I allways think that my OFF phase ended, then this chanel posts something and i'm hooked again. I guess it isn't a phase because after all this time people still keep coming back to it. Loving the animations!!

Great episode! In my opinion, a big improvement over the first episode! My only critique is with the music. Specifically, the usage of Pepper Steak. I was really looking forward to hearing it being used for the first time, but having a quiet fade-in transition was very anti-climatic for my taste. I would recommend cutting the music in as a kind of "beat drop", and maybe even syncing up some of the animation to the music! Besides that mild criticism, I will add that I love the animation quality! All the characters stay on model, and the movement is very fluid! The Battling animations definitely show your more than amazing skills as an animator! I can only see this series continuing to get better as time goes on. Thank you for making this wonderful animation!

Edited after watching: Honestly I wish the Zacharie's voice was Mortis Ghost himself, because he is the one who made the Zacharie's meow. But well anyway, anything of what you're doing is amazing Tan Blaque. Awesome animation and you deserve more attention.

Honestly, the only thing that would make this series more uneasy would be changing "Player" to "Viewers". Since we are not playing Batter, but watching him instead. That would make final payoff extra juicy.
I think the player is actually a character in this version but they never speak but we know they control the batter.
I absolutely love what you did with the zone 1 Elsens, though admittedly I'm simultaneously scared of what you're gonna do with zone 3 Elsens. Keep it up, I'm hella excited for this series

Yo the person who voiced the Elsen did a wonderful job
𝑶𝑲 the improvements from episode 1 are *very* noticeable, it's ŧɇɍɍɨfɏɨnǥ to think you improved that much in such a short timespan. This easily went from great animation to almost god tier animation. I've watched this 5 times and I want to timestamp just some of the really cool stuff you did.
0:00 your intro is spot-on
0:55 the batter's shirt blowing in the breeze is sending me as much chills as the batter
1:40 the sliding door in the audience face is foreboding that "oh boy, stuff about to go down soon"
1:48 a perfectly timed beautiful scenic shot (Don't be afraid to add a few more of those in between some lesser important dialogue like you did, maybe a shot of something happening in the backround, or a shot of 1 random specific object)
1:55 - 4:45 the elsen's frequent eyes change and stutters perfectly encapsulated how uneasy the elsens are, just a bit more jittery hand and facial movements and it's 100% believably 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍
4:51 - 5:01 I love how we HEAR the judge talk, but don't see him till 10 seconds later *EXCELLENT USE OF FOGGY SMOKE RIGHT THERE*
8:00 - 9:00 This entire minute is FIRE and seeing the batter climacticaly emerge from the mines and scaring that elsen in such a fashion is easily one of the best moments of this episode (I wanted to hear for all the fighting sound effects so I put on headphones but I need a couple more sound effects)
12:00 The whole barn segment is golden but I especially love how this specter is just knocked out it's really cute
12:23 Dedan's introduction simultaneously while the batter is purifying then catching his breath is MENACING and him yelling at the elsen had me on the edge of my seat the whole time
I think I got all of the really cool important stuff you did, there was just so much eye candy in this episode. I think my timestamp at 1:48 is the most important, these scenic shots where you pan the characters out of the picture gives you an opportunity to admire how beautiful the setting is, please add just a few more of these in between lesser important dialogue. *(Think of it like your the photographer and you want to switch angles and take shots of scenes and objects too like a worker hat)*
Batter: I must beat the ever living crap out of him.

Batter: ...K. I will beat the every dead crap out of him.
Voice actors are SO on point! Dedan sounds so imposing. Love the action sequences, cannot wait for the boss battle...

This episode is awesome! The colours are beautiful, battle animations are smooth and the audio is of significantly better quality than in the first one. I also like the new batter's voice. I think it suits him more. Such a great job! to all who participated in the making of this. Please, keep it up!
The Judge is perfection. The whole thing is great, but that's exactly the best voice and tone for that creature.

I know this has been a while ago and that probably nobody will see this comment, but I just want to say thank you for this phenomenal animation! The voices actor for the Elsens did a wonderful job, and I love how creative yet faithful this animation is with OFF. The animation is extremely smooth and I love the different angles of certain scenes, especially the battles. One of animations that recently got me into OFF, although it seems that most of the fandom has moved on or gone dormant. Good job on the amazing work! I hope we can see an Episode 3 but if not that’s ok too.
