That was good! For some reason it seems to me that Beetlebum could've been written by the Beatles. Never thought about that when Blur sang it but your take on it made me think of Abbey Road or the White album. Anyway, great voice and tight band. Don't care much for the covid masks but it's a sign of the times I guess.
At the time oasis and blur was battling it out for who was the best uk band. oasis compared there own music to that of the beatles and said the northwest produced the best music. Blur slapped them with beatlebum. Another manchester band the charlatans also got a slap with the release of theres no other way. Making the charlatans hit ''the only one i know'' there last. Blur was fantastic at subtle but deadly slaps on rival bands.
