      I like the looks of this model year, I've been considering buying one from this body style to a newer body style.

      @SuperZX I'm starting to feel the same as you guys not worrying about the gas mileage or cost to fill & thinking of getting one. I fill my Lincoln Town Car when I have a half a tank anyhow plus I conserve when I'm in town on my days off.

    Very nice & nicer in black on black. In 1999 the Cadillac Escalade reminded me more of the GMC Yukon Denali.

    If you can afford the the 70-90k car then you can afford the gas!!!
    I have also never seen another full size suv beat a sports car from 0-60 that has not been modified

    One of my family friends recently bought the mercedes suv, as my family bought the 2012 cadillac esv.. His mercedes has already been in the shop mulitple times as for the cadillac we havent changed the oil once and it still drives like it brand new. American cars are proven to last longer than any european car. Proven fact.

    4 wheel drive is when you press on the gas all four wheels receive the same amount of power while all wheel drive although similar, is when you press on the gas and all four wheels recieve different amounts of power depending on which tire according to the AWD system thinks has the most traction

    your mistaken,the GL550 for the 2013 model year comes with 429hp and 516 lb-tq which is leaps and bounds ahead of anything that is currently on the market or will come on the market in 2013.
    the 382 hp you are referring to is the 2007 to 2012 5.4 liter engine, the 2013 comes with a twin turbo 4.7 liter V8
    make sure you get the real facts before posting.

    Well i looked at Tahoe LTZ not too long ago and i was pretty surprised with not being all that roomy and everything inside felt really cheap ( bid disappointment) . End up buying Lexus Rx350 plus got GREAT deal on it since they are liquidating 2012's.

    The LandCruiser/LX is still the best with the most incredible heritage, second only to Land Rovers. I'd get the Land Cruiser, not just for the much better reliability and durability but for the efficiency and features. More 3rd politicians have escaped with their lives in the LandCruiser than any other vehicle too LOL

    Just so you know, this is a review of a 3rd generation Escalade not a 2nd gen., that you drove with 300hp. Also Cadillac never claimed the Escalade as a off road vehicle, it's for towing and luxury cruising. Also I sincerely doubt any of the foreign SUV's you mentioned can match the Escalades reliability especially a Range Rover !

    What this guy doesn't know is that you can have the 6.2L V8 in the Chevy Silverado on the Chevy Camaro ZL1 also but the 6.2L V8 in the Silverado only has 350hp the one in the Cadillac escalade has 400hp so there is a noticeable difference

  • @JackpodyDK
    @JackpodyDK 11 лет назад

    Funny, because if that's true, then why were no Merc's made between 1886-1985 unreliable, while literally every American manufacturer had some sort of problem going on in that period of time? Reality check.

  • @kristianbrandt3012
    @kristianbrandt3012 11 лет назад

    Saying the Escalade is a driver's car, is like saying musclecars are sporty and responsive, when really most of our hot hatchbacks could outrun them round a track. The funny thing is that America proved they could build a proper car a few years ago. The Cadillac CTS-V. Sure it's a bit vulgar and, in Europe, a bit of a footballer's car(read, soccerplayer) but it is genuinely good. But most of it is just a sea of plastic and cost efficient pleather.

  • @tsmith76092
    @tsmith76092 12 лет назад

    When I think Escalade I think of stay at home mom... not celebrity. Any guy that drives an escalade either has a dog in their purse or is trying to overcompensate with an overdose of chrome. I made my dad get the tahoe instead, it might have cheaper leather and materials but in normal driving the tahoe gets 5+ more mpg and the styling is much more masculine and understated. Just my opinion though...

  • @KeliBaB
    @KeliBaB 11 лет назад

    Don't get me wrong I love american cars and I drive an american SUV because it's reliable. I'm the kind of guy who rather fix his truck in his driveway than bring it to the stealership to get it fixed, and would rather drive an old jeep than a brand new "escalade" (what a stupid name). But to be honest, if you're willing to pay premium prices on a luxury vehicle, you better do it right and buy something worth it and with a bit of class.

    hahaha, yeah, it's more of a gas guzzler too, but Anyone who can afford to shell out $70k for a vehicle probably doesn't worry a whole lot about fuel costs. I would like an Escalade, but it's out of my price range. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is nearly just as good, at half the price though.
