100% agree, it annoys me that GP lost control like that. They didn't need to change much to keep the story the same and such, just have Viego escape GP's control after he's defeated by the party.
I think they wanted to display the true power of the mist, a man's love, and how prideful Viego was to be powerful. Even more than Gangplank. Also, Isolde must have been a fucking fireball in bed for Viego to do all of this lmao

Are we not gonna talk how in MF's flashback she looks at him with the reworked design 0:22 (Which they said that the reason his appearance was changed was because of MF "Killing him") but in Illaoi's flashback when the Buhru are carying him after that same event he looks like his old design (as it should be) 4:16?

@@fatchungi2732 True but I always kinda expected (and hoped) veigos story would end with some kinda grand "Dracula ending" (Netflix castlevania version), that Gwen or the Maiden of the mist, or hell even full isolde herself would spell out to him that THIS isnt what she would have wanted, that he wasnt Saving love but destroying it, and in a surge of empathy he'd realize that he'd taken some else's "Isolde" that hed probably left a thousand "ruined" lovers (Camera pans to Senna/Lucien Diana/Leona Graves/ Tf (Maybe) in various stages of grief and injury) and Veigo rebukes his court of ghostly sadists and demonic "yes men" and leaves his beloved to end his whole "Melodrama of omnicide". But now hes kinda just a jerk, he never cared about what isolde thought, or valued her beyound what she did for him. You can't appeal to his better nature if he never HAD one. And I'm not implying you still cant build a good story off of this, it's just that I cant really think if a way to end this with that melancholy "punch" ya know ?
Gangplank is almost as good as Jhin in the lore as a character and as a villain , I could rank him up because I like Bilgewater if only Jhin was not objectively the best character in the game Edit : after seeing the entire video I change my mind why tf did they give the most cruel pirate in Bilgewater a soft side

The only thing that can be evil is the void, and hey no humans in there.

Viego is still a very powerful magician commanding the mist. On top of that, his twisted desire for isolde is nearly unstoppable.
