- ✍🏼 Introduction
Hello friends!
I have not uploaded in a long time! Life got in the way and then I couldn't really bring myself to sit down and edit.
Honestly, not sure if I will continue to make long form build videos but I hope to upload more typing tests because I love listening to other's and I love sharing mine.
On to the current video, a while ago I posted a video looking at these switches as well as their silent counterparts. This is a follow up video hearing the same switches in a different build.
I actually quite enjoyed these switches in this config. They are quite "tinny" and thin sounding but in a "thocky" or foamy build like the piggy, I think they balance out the foamy sound quite nicely.
Hope you enjoy!
See you in the next one!

Hey! Don't worry about making long form videos if it's too much for you, i know editing can be draining. Typing tests are always fun! I really liked the comparison you did for the MX2A silent reds, it would work well without the B-roll and just comparitive typing sounds with the visual indicator (greyed out vs colour).
I am a fan of the stock cherry sound except for the awful springs they use, i think i can still hear some spring sound in the stock but not lubed. I'm getting some MX2A blacks and browns in soon (PT is the goat for the 25% discount at the MKUK meetup) so interested to see how they stack up in person.
Hey! Thank you so much for the kind words! :D
Yeah I wanted to make build videos of all the boards I have that I haven't built but honestly with all the IRL stuff I do not think I'll have time any time soon :( so might just need to build and record comparison typing tests and the like.
I agree PT is the goat! They already have them at such a low price already and the discount is so generous! I might get some to franken soon.
I think, tbf, the stock springs (on MX2A) are fine once you clean off the stock lube and lube them with Krytox oil.
I hope you enjoy your MX2As!
@@fluffykeebz You're welcome! The most important thing is that you enjoy your boards (and bring them to meetups so we can touch them too lol)
Yeah 30p a switch is an absolute steal, Jae must have worked some magic to get them that low.
Thanks! Stock cherry springs are usually too heavy for my tiny hands (even MX reds are surprisngly heavy compared to other light linears), so they will be treated to some nice 50g geon springs (again PT is the goat for stocking Geon stuff).
