I feel this way about my Sigma EF 50mm f1.4 ART. Got it for $500 when they were still new for $1100 CAD and it had a couple of marks (sharpie to the rescue) and I have not only kept it for 5 years I also kept it with the switch from Canon to Sony and use it all the time on photoshoots with the Sigma MC-11 adapter that allows it to work natively. This Zeiss lens, I think I would pounce on if I ever see one cheap and somewhat beat up. As long as it works and the optics are good, who cares.

That's too funny, I got a very similar deal on the Sigma 50 1.4 ART. For some reason the Sigma UK store on Amazon was blowing them out for $500 a year or two ago while they were still full price in the US store. I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to show up, but well worth it for the insane deal.
I don't think you can find a better deal on a wide zoom than the Zeiss. I shot this video months ago and didn't get around to finishing it until this week, and I was shocked to see them used on Amazon for $415. Never thought I'd see a lens so good for so cheap. Hope one comes across your path soon!
