  • MUSE Cincinnati's Women's Choir stands in support of justice for Breonna Taylor, Oluwatoyin Salau, Dominique Fells, & Riah Milton and the countless other black women and transgender women of color who have been killed due to racism and bigotry.
Written in the early 1970s, “Sisters, You Keep Me Fighting” was meant to create solidarity between American and Vietnamese women during a time when both groups’ lives were marred by conflict. The beautifully simple a cappella melody is inspired by the roots of the author: English, Scottish, and Irish. Though the roots are Western European, the text and meaning speaks to affirming energies of the U.S. women’s movements and lends itself to building a bridge between struggling people all over the world.
