this made me relize how much my brain pairs bass and guitar or bass and drums when im thinking about songs. It just doesn't do well with the one instrument. I play off of counting one other instruments weird quirks and shepes and my brain uses the negative space between the shapes my nots make and theirs to form my internal map of the song.

Besides Dance Macabre and Ritual I managed to guess Sympathy For The Devil correctly (one of my favourite performances) but this really made me realize that I don't pay enough attention to the basslines-
How i got sympathy for the devil and not rats is beyond me 😭😭😭 either way this was both really fun and terribly eye-opening that i need pay attention to the bass
I managed to get Dance Macabre, Miasma, and Ritual. I’m really disappointed in myself for not recognizing Rats! But now that beautiful baseline will stick out to me more.
WTF! HOW couldn't he get Ritual hahaha? It's definitely in their top 5 most famous songs and he played a specific part where there's literally only the bass shining the riff except for the little guitar. Damn, man!
Just discovered this and this is phenomenal: keep this up! You definitely deserve more subscribers! Who would I want to see next? Newsted-era Metallica, Dethklok, post 2000- Megadeth or Slayer, if Tim is up for it...!
I'm with Chris. I don't know the first two albums well. I instantly recognised He is, Witch Image, Rats and Dance Macabre. I didn't pick the song, but my first thought with the trick question was it sounded like The Rolling Stones.
Song 1 Got it right Almost thought it was Square Hammer for some reason, but thankfully I'd been working on learning the guitar part a lot recently, so I recognized the place in the song Song 2 I've got nothing I'm a pretty surface level Ghost fan, I like the really poppy songs lol Trick Question I know that melody but I can't place it for the life of me. yes ritual is a very good song but it doesnt mean that the ones liking Opus Eponymous should suddenly call the Impera liking people "disgusting". Ghost isnt just Opus, Ghost is satanic Abba in Infestissumam, Ghost is soft praising tunes in Meliora, Ghost is tales about destruction in Prequelle, finally Ghost is more pop-ey bits in Impera. There is no one word we can describe Ghost's music as, and even if you personally dont like their newest album it doesnt mean you get to slander those who like it. Behaviours like those lead to no good, you like what you like but don't slander those who dont like the same things as you
