Metal came in like a Terminator and Amy was cloaked up like a rag tag Kyle Reese. They're definitely from the future. 4 is more than likely going to be a Sonic CD style time travel story, Metal Overlord/Sonic will be the badguy and they will hint/cameo a young Silver.

Here's my theory for Sonic 4 or 5... what if Gerald secretly cIoned himself without Ivo finding out, and that clone of his ends up becoming Eggman NEGA, and that's how they set up Silver and Blaze appearing in the movies. And Metal Sonic ends up being 1 of Eggman Nega's creations and takes orders from him, just like in Sonic Rivals. 🤯
Seeing metal sonic in live action makes me so happy because I love metal sonic he’s personally my favorite villain in the sonic series in my opinion, also a bonus seeing Amy rose finally adapted for the movies is really awesome and badass that I can’t wait to see what happens next with this awesome series, also I am also happy to see shadow the hedgehog my favorite character adapted and done justice in this movie is really awesome and badass.
I would like if style of 4 movie logo the number 4 would be pink like amy or the movie can have second name like sonic the hedgehog 4 the worst timeline making reference to metal sonic n his music theme n time travel from the original sonic cd when metal n amy make their first debut in sonic series

i can see it going longer then f&f films (though differance is sonic universe has many characters & storys to tell unlike f&f).
