I loved the Eddie quote. I used to play in a cover band many moons ago and we were playing Jump and a guy came up and said to me that's not how Eddie plays it to which I replied, well when I get to sleep with Valerie Bertonelli and make as much as Eddie then I will...that shut him up. Great tutorial.. I hate it when there is more theory and background between letting me see the notes I am missing...lol. I just wanted to add. For the lead part when it comes to that last C note that you can't grab. Get a looper for the melodic part. That will open you up to add more lead into the song when you play it. I have a 5 track looper so I can do that with different songs. Makes life a bit nicer and me look like I really know what I am doing.
Sorry for the late reply. Sometimes hard to keep track of them. Yes I have a looper on my fractal but I should probably get a looper peddle. That would make things a lot easier. Yeah I get tired of hearing that is not how this person or that person does it. Well....I am not that person. This is how Trace Taylor does it. And dude it is almost every show. amazing.
great lesson....some people like to throw their 2 cents in and I'm one.....I believe that you should play another band or guitarist song as close as possible WITH YOUR twist on it.....play it with your feelings and your heart.....NOT trying to shut anyone up but some people like EXACT note for note.....MILLIONS of guitar players out there Trace some good and some NOT SO good....thanks for the lesson...
I get that bro. I used a very generalized picking pattern for this song to make it easier. This was actually the first video in this little thing I am doing called songs for the single guitarist, when you are the only guitar player in the band I just was not very clear on it. I did another video on Def Leppard's bringing on the heartbreak in which I explained it better, but then I did the intro lesson on diary of a Madman and that one is note for note. This is how I play it because I sing on it and play keyboards on it so I try to keep some of the music as easy as possible, but I was not very clear on that aspect. I have one coming up on the easy way to play Cult of Personality when you have to play it and sing it. However, I do know that some people like note for note which I will be doing in the lessons of moonlight sonata coming up on piano, then I will be doing it on guitar.
Trace Taylor request a video lesson on Missouri band -song Moving on the intro to keyboard intro part -The lead parts and the Rhythum parts I want to be able to play all parts lead & Rhythm section If it will be easier and faster to Tab out the guitar parts please let me know A.S.A.P

this has got to be one of the worst guitar lessons ever. 33 min for this song? And not even the first picking pattern is right, I stopped right after this.
Yeah. I said I was doing a general picking pattern or the video would have been two hours long. I figured if you are watching this then you could figure out the picking pattern on your own once you knew the chord structure. Here is why. This is the pattern for the intro - 5 4 3 4 1 2 3 4 4 4 3 4 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 4 3 2 4 3 4 3 2 4 3 2 4 3 4 3 2 4 3 2 4 3 4 3 2 4 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 4 1 2 3 4 5 4 3 4 3 2 3.....And that is just the intro. See. It would had to be through two parts of a video which I did not want to do. I generally concentrate on the solo sections. I assumed guitar players are smart enough to pick out the patterns of the verse and such. Guess not.
Good to see you back!
good to be back. Dude it was a long 4 months and time to get busy. thanks my friend

That's not right.
The chords are right but the picking pattern is wrong
But if you listen to the song there are several different picking patterns. I picked a generalized pattern for the entire passage to make it easier.
