    Neal, I apologize for the novel, no need to respond. I know you said this isn't an easy process, and I suppose it hasn't been, but I am completely blown away by the transformation I have experienced with my body over a period of weeks, most of it in days and instants. I'm lucky enough to work from home and have hours to devote daily to meditating. I had been seeing some good progress in my daily life from just paying more attention to my pelvis, using my hips, and noticing all the areas I was tight and loose in my body. But the sensory cues you've discussed in your videos have completely changed me. In my case my left peripheral vision, tongue on roof of mouth, left heel, right arch were the big drivers. A few days ago I suddenly got in left stance for the first time without even trying and reflexively moaned out of relief. After, I got onto an exercise mat that I've been using to help with the sensory cues in my feet and suddenly felt another wave of tension in my body release. I decided to just relax into it while I experimented with putting an eye patch on my dominant eye and doing some dishes, where I suddenly became aware of all the remaining tension on the right side of my face and jaw. I removed the patch, closed my eyes, and started experimenting with focusing on my visual midline while attending to different aspects of my left peripheral vision. This ultimately led me to a very emotional experience around a traumatic event in my life of which I'll spare you the details. I felt calm enough to process the event in a way I never had before, I burst into tears and collapsed on the floor in a way that I just melted into the floor. I opened myself up to re-experience the worst feelings and it let me have the reaction that I was never able to have before. All of this happened in hours and over the last 3 days I have experienced the sensation of being truly balanced and it's like there was an instant switch where a wave of vertigo disappeared that I didn't realize was there. I can now balance on either leg with my eyes closed. I've been neutral without effort, breathing normally through my nose and into so many new parts of my body, sleeping through the night on my back. I could go on and on. It's honestly been similar to a psychedelic experience and I'm still having trouble processing it. The feeling I have in my neck and cranium is something I've only experienced on LSD when I was younger. I really think the big reason I was able to do that is because of your videos and I truly can't thank you enough. I know my journey isn't over and I've since started having some really interesting experiments with my vision - I clearly still need to see a specialist on that front. This is so important and I can't believe it isn't mainstream knowledge. My whole life I was diagnosed with issues clearly related to this and basically told there was nothing to be done. When it was noticed that I often breathed through my mouth as a kid, they just told me to stop instead of digging deeper. When an eye patch didn't fix my lazy eye, they shrugged and said you can still see fine so don't worry about it. I was told I had kyphosis as a teen and they basically just said it shouldn't cause me problems. Thank you from the bottom of my ground for doing what you do.

      Don’t think of it as a novel you’ve written. Think of it as a testament you’ve left for other people to stumble upon and maybe some of them will have had similar experiences but are always told they are crazy. They will feel less alone on their journey. I’d be happy if you could copy your comment and put it in the comment section of the previous video…same interview but with the introductory context included. More people are watching that one. Glad you’ve had your revelations!

    I am trying to restore a difficult asymmetry caused by my dentist fitting me with badly fitted bridges … this has basically changed the planes in my jaw, my facial and neck symmetry and caused years of chronic pain. In the end, as soon as the bridges came off, the pain almost disappeared and I could relax my face and eyes again. It would be good if dentists would listen to patients when they say that something feels too tight or painful or not right. These posts are very interesting thank you

    Myo Speech Therapy is an excellent resource for tongue issues as well as the other muscles used for speech and swallowing. Part of the tongue's job is to rest on the roof of the mouth and it acts like a pump with every swallow, helping the cerebrospinal fluid to circulate. The tongue can be strengthened like any muscle. It's calming to have my tongue on the right spot on my palate, as I've only recently discovered.

    Tongue Posture (position) was mentioned several times. An appliance is only a temporary fix for unhealthy tongue postures . A LOW TONGUE POSTURE from undiagnosed or untreated tongue ties, and/or TONGUE THRUSTING (which is a compensation to promote BREATHING) are two examples of conditions that have much better long-term results when Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) is also part of a complete program.
    OMT is a neuromuscular retraining method (think physical therapy for the mouth) to develop normal oral rest postures. This can make any other treatments more effective long term.
    I have seen many adults on their THIRD round of Ortho treatment, who's open bites re-open when the Ortho provider inserts a "Tongue Crib" rather than using an OMT program in conjunction with the Ortho.

    And what are the musts for the splint? Are these 3 the ones:?

    3. Correct when lower and upper front teeth are perfectly above each other

    The one important question Neal: The splint can help turn the neck off and make the rest of the body relax. But is that also the case if we're talking about an ascending jaw issue, for example if you have a overactive jaw & neck due to a trauma that you had in your leg and you started lifting your body weight to the other site? Or does it only work if you have a jaw/teeth issue that is the origin of your problems?
    In my thinking process, it should not make a difference where the origins was, because everything in the body is connected, and once the brain has a new pattern that is saved down, it will stay in the new position even if you remove the origin of your problems.

    Neal, I'm not sure where you are on your dental/airway journey, but there a few more factors at play than what you have discussed on your channel. I am somewhat familiar with PRI as well as the work of Racobado and have undergone a lot of the therapy you describe myself. Out of over twenty years experience treating myofacial, TMJ, and now airway related oral functional issues, I believe some of the cause and effects you describe can be understood through a different lens. I don't know who you saw in NY, but there are people up your way who can help you in a comprehensive and predictable manner. Please reach out to me if your would like to discuss further.

    Hi Neal ,
    Does it mean that the best way to get neutral is to train our nervous system(sensoriel…) to sense the position where our body is stuck so that we can move it where we want
    In other words it is like we awaken it,we train it to sense better?

      Expansion Orthodontics worked wonders on me. I was a victim of RETRACTIVE ORTHO as a child. My breathing and TMJ were severely compromised for most of my adult life. AIRWAY is everything.
      Unfortunately, many Ortho providers have minimal training in this area, and ignore the tongue space, oropharynx and airway. The CBCT imaging can actually measure and evaluate airway space both before and after Ortho Tx, and should be an essential part of any Ortho program.
      Some people will need Maxillary/Mandibular advancement surgery to obtain optimum results. This is why kids need evaluation at a very young age- NOT when they are 10-12 years old. Working with the natural growth of the face and jaws (of which most occurs before age nine) is essential to avoid breathing and sleep issues.
      I have been a Dental Hygienist since 1985, and now focus on providing Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy for children, teens and adults with similar issues.

    One thing I don't understand. If some people need a splint to have the correct bite and right sensations in the mouth, doesn't it mean they have to wear the splint all the time and if they stop the bite will fall apart? I haven't noticed you Neal wearing the splint anymore (or do you do it only at night). Basically, my confusion is whether the splint can have lasting results or you will get even more dependant on external jaw support?

    • @Hero_Of_Old
      @Hero_Of_Old Год назад +4

      From what I understand, it depends on how patterned you are and if you have any other things keeping you stuck. I wear my splint during the day, and my neck relaxes somewhat. If i stop wearing it for a few days I feel myself falling onto my right side again and head moving back. Still trying to work out what else is at play.

    • @vv7299
      @vv7299 Год назад +10

      Yes, there should be lasting results. All props are used to help the body "connect" certain areas, and bring them online, so to speak.
      There are many built-in redundancies, so you can start from various places, but eventually all systems need to be in sync. Also, every change in the body needs to be accompanied by adjustments above the neck, and especially in the eyes. Eyes are somehow connected to the teeth, and even without using any mouth devices, you can witness a radical reshaping of the gums and dental arches that happens via different pathways.
      One last thing, the body will let you know exactly what needs to shift and in which direction, if you pay attention. It's almost like a Rubik's cube with infinitely many colors, and which is self-solving. There seems to be a blueprint of sorts, stored deep inside the cells, that, when 'activated' triggers a process where movement happens at micro and macro levels, in a fractal like fashion, and the tissue shifts to a place where it 'belongs' . The end result of this self directed metamorphosis is tensional integrity and deep symmetry, at micro and macro scale.

Please don't waste your money. These people have no clue what they're doing, and just use some weird terminology to sound smart. Check taro iwamoto on youtube instead. Your nervous system is more flexible than you think and can be trained without splints or glasses. Don't get obsessed with your sensory-inputs as your nervous system will adapt to this badly and things will just get worse.
